Friendly staff, tasty food, would recommend
Good food at great prices, quick and friendly service with a good range of food. Ideal for us for pre-gig dining
Good size portions, delicious food and good service. X
Attractive decor, good service, delicious food. Really authentic tastes and aromas of Thai food offered in an extensive menu. We had a very enjoyable meal.
I'm reviewing Muang Thai not because it's anything exceptional, but because it's good, and not particularly on the radar. Muang Thai is a small restaurant on Chalk Farm road. Blink as you walk past it, and you'll miss it. Really, this is a shame. The Camden area it full of eateries you're better off not attending, but Muang Thai is not one of them. The location is clean, the food very tasty, and the staff polite. The interior resembles something of a walk in closet in size and shape, but they've done all they can to make the place cosy. And it certainly feels clean and hygienic to boot - another plus point for a place in the otherwise grimy Camden Town.
Screw Flanders.
A great Thai restaurant located just outside the busiest part of Camden, but well worth those few extra steps. Staff were really pleasant & attentive. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was relaxing. Would recommend for a lovely meal in a slightly calmer environment.
Great Thai! Highly recommend the massaman curry! Relaxed atmosphere. Happy and friendly staff. Curries are thick and flavourful. Highly recommend a visit!
My favorite Thai restaurant in London! My friends and I go every week. The owner is so friendly and accommodating - and caters to vegans! We love the papaya salad, panang curry and pad kee mao. And I dream about their sticky rice, with and without mango. So good!
I’ve eaten Green chicken curry in probably over 30 restaurants, it’s my favourite dish, & the one I just had here is EASILY top 3, absolutely
Astounding, lemonade was quite nice too, portion could have been a touch bigger but I’m greedy. Literally 10/10 if ur hungry and like Thai food this is a great spot. Staff are all lovely too.64
We had an amazing dinner made only better by the friendly and genuine service from Rose! We felt super welcome and special and our food came out fast and very tasty. I thought the portions were perfect, not too much and not too little. Hats off to the chef and Rose from the captains hat couple 😚
Fabulous food, really tasty, perfect portions. Service was friendly and efficient, they perfectly understood that we were under time pressure and went out of their way to accommodate this. Can't wait to go back again. Keep thinking about the food. So, so good.
Wow what a little gem. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat before a gig at the Roundhouse on Saturday evening. We hadn’t booked but the had a table for us. I had beef Thai green curry and garlic rice. My mate had a pork stir fry-i’m not sure which she had but it looked nice and she ate it all. We had a fancy starter for 2. Good customer service.
We have never been before, we thought we'd pop in whilst waiting to get in to see a concert at the Round House. We could not believe how friendly and efficient the staff were. The food was also excellent, especially the chicken Pad Thai. I would strongly recommend and we will go again
First time trying this place after a quick search on google for Thai food in the area. I actually selected this place over another Thai restaurant just because of the tasty looking food pics from some previous diners and the clean authentic decor! Quick on the spot decisions! So I am really surprised when reading some of the reviews about the “rude lady” and mediocre food!
Mine and my sister’s experience was a very different and pleasant one! We was first approached by a friendly waitress with limited English (Bless her!). I enquired about a dish but she had difficulty understanding but another lady came swiftly to assist (I assume this is the ‘rude lady’ that a few have mentioned). Assuming she is the owner, she answered my question and told me that the dish I was looking for is not served the same way in the restaurant, but she was very accommodating and added the extra ingredients to my dish (an fried egg on top! Easy on the spice!) to make it how I wanted it - although this may not have costed her a arm and a leg, it was very nice gesture to offer this complimentary as she didn’t have to.
We ordered a starter mixed plate along with a couple of duck dishes with coconut rice which was divine! I tried the Thai ice tea which was made to perfection! Very yummy indeed!
Throughout the meal, both waitresses came over to check that we were ok. I would say that the food was fresh, portions generous (I couldn’t even finish my main dish) and came quickly. We even had a nice chat with the owner lady about Thailand and recommendations on where to travel next! I honestly left the restaurant feeling really catered to and actually said to my sis “The lady is very nice! Food was nice too!” I will be visiting again!
Had I read the reviews prior to heading to this restaurant, they might have put me off but I’m glad I didn’t and actually got to experience it myself with a very pleasant outcome!
My wife and I have a long love affair with Thai food, after spending a few months in Thailand. The problem is, it never taste just like there. That is until we stumbled upon this beautiful place. A family business, Honest Thai food, base on the mother’s recipes. Nice people, very welcoming. Attention to detail, and ingredients are as close to Thai as you could possibly find in this part of the world. I would recommend eating at the restaurant, because it’s just so pleasant. Highly recommended.
