Absolutely love this place. They offer a wide range of coffee, smoothie and shakes. My favorite is the fucky monkey and hot chocolate.
Food is great. The menu is very diverse and the service is terrific. However, it can be a bit overpriced, but it is worth the money. I recommend the cookie dough and the waffles, as they are one of the best i have tasted.
I come here for gelato every week. They have the most authentic ice cream I have ever had here in London.
I would Highly recommended this place.
Best waffles and cookie dough out of all the other dessert places. Best quality and service too. You can tell the ingredients they use are not cheap
.
I have tried at least 10 of the ice cream flavours here and there still so many more to try. So far, they have been all very good. Serving sizes are really generous too.
Came here on Saturday night. Only bad thing is we had to wait 15 mins for a table. The queue was outside the door but after tasting the food, I know why. Best desserts.
Hats off to the staff for a wonderful evening. Lovely decor and great atmosphere. I would highly recommended to this anyone & definitely come back.
Nice desserts. Some of the prices are not worth the quality of the dessert. Can often be just covered with lots and lots of chocolate sauce making it unbearable to eat. I dont have much of a sweet tooth perhaps why but dessert lovers would enjoy this place.
If you have a sweet tooth like i do, it's a place like heaven on earth. Lots of chocolatey desserts and drinks. Hot chocolate is by far the best ive ever had. Try the cinnamon hot chocolate and ask them to make it a little thicker than normal. You won't regret it.
Fantastic dessert the taste and quality as well as the way the food looks is excellent. Great prices however some extras are expensive. Apart from this it is great and the customer service are very kind and polite. Excellent
Beautiful desserts. Excellent value. Amazing customer service. Love coming to this quaint dessert place. They have the best desserts in London in my opinion. I've been to many places but they don't quite compare to the standard and quality of this place.
Amazing desserts and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back many times. Everything is halal friendly and this place doesn't serve alcohol.
Really nice dessert place really enjoyed it, the food is on the ok price side but dam the cookie dough was nicee, its a nice chilled out place to have chocolate related food
The best place for cookie dough, I really enjoyed my evening, it wasn't too loud and noisy like last time I visited, though it can be really noisy at times, comfy seatings, been served pretty quick, good customer service, I do recommend this place and it's yummy desserts.
The food here is nice but I think you have to be careful with what you order because this is what I ordered and I could not finish it. My friend ordered a milkshake and I drank more of her milkshake than i ate my own waffle. She ordered a really nice warm cookie crumble dish that had ice cream. I don't think you should order the waffle, it is a bit plain.
After a dinner party at a nearby restaurant, we headed out to try some waffles. Having read some reviews on here, I was unsure what to expect. Thankfully, we had an amazing experience here. The waffles are freshly made, fluffy and absolutely covered in luxurious chocolate. They even serve a chocolate syringe, OMG. That’s something I will definitely try on my next visit.
Well what do i say about this place. Its practically chocolate heaven. (Yes im still drooling) I had a wonderful experience here, they've got cool decoration, nice ambience and friendly staff. Now the desserts speak for themselves. Cookie dough and ice-cream was absolutely divine and looked stunning. Everytime the waitresses carried out desserts, they all looked amazing and i wanted to try them all. I have been there twice now and i plan to go through the whole menu, one dessert at a time.
Urban chocolatier is brilliant. That is all to be said. The cookie dough melts in your mouth and the gooey mess is a chocoholics dream. It's not a huge place, only 3 booths and a few tables so it gets pretty packed at times. Personally, other things in the menu aren't so appealing to me. They seem like the standard ice cream floats, sundaes and milkshakes you get at most places. The cakes are good, but I'm not a fan of cake much to review properly and the drinks are refreshing from the few I've tried. All in all, it's worth a visit.
Red Velvet Soufflé: Price unknown | Who doesn't love red velvet cake? It's the most lushest cake in the cake range. As a soufflé? Even better! This was light and spongy and just perfect! Served with strawberries and ice-cream, it was just great! I also loved the presentation of this, they definitely pay attention to detail here! Foodie.007 x
Great desserts. Food tasted good. Although my friend did complain the Classic Carrot was too sweet.
Was disappointed that they do not serve tap water, which is against the law. Think they said they don't have taps but how do they wash their dishes?!
Spent an evening here with friends and had so much fun. We went in the evening and it was a little busy. Only had to wait for five mins for a table to clear and then we were seated. Staff are polite and friendly, atmosphere is nice and this place has a nice vibe.
Now where do I start with their menu. It's massive and I had trouble deciding what I wanted to go for. I had the fondue and a coconut hot chocolate. It was delicious, nothing I had ever had before. This is a really nice chocolate shop with an edge. I'll be sure to visit again with aim of working my way through all of the menu items
Yummmy Ferrero Roche milkshake ... delicious!!! Can really taste the chocolate, 10% discount this week!! friendly staff ... overall great service, will be going again =D
Love this hidden away dessert place. Grab a friend for a good catch up over dessert.
I ordered the ice coffee and thought it was a little expensive however when I received the massive American sized glass full of coffee topped with whipped cream, I was surprised. I can never finish it but it's worth the price.
I also ordered the cookie dough with ice cream which was filling however the waffles were amazing. I got a peanut butter one and my friend got the chocolate one. But I have to warn you its quite big so I can't finish it all off.
The peanut butter sundae however was disappointing as it was small. But we ate it quickly as we sat in comfy booths. I love how it's the perfect place to sit and catch up with friends over filling desserts.
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets, the Urban Chocolatier is a great stop for anyone wanting to treat them self to a calorific dessert and cheap coffee.
The prices are extremely good and there is a wide variety desserts for those with a bit of a sweet tooth. The interior is smart but laid back and the staff very welcoming.
I opted for the chocolate amore fudge cake and whilst I wasn't blown away, for the price it wasn't half bad. Definitely one to have in your repertoire when going for a casual meet.
I spent an evening here with my friends, and we had a lot of fun. Though it was pretty busy, we had to wait less than five minutes to be seated. The staff was very polite and friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. They have a very extensive menu, which is good but confusing. I settled upon the fondue and a coconut hot chocolate. It was delicious, and surpassed anything I have had previously. I'll definitely visit again.
Great selection of delicious desserts and drinks. Also a wide range of hot chocolates, coffee etc.
Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
The Urban Chocolatier brings a breath of fresh air to whitechapel. A cosy, independent coffee shop meets chocolatier and dessert parlour. I am a regular visitor having recently moved to the area and have never been disappointed. The menu has a huge choice of drinks and mocktails. The chocolate souffle is like no other and their chocolates are delicious. Staff are very upbeat and chatty with customers and are always happy to help. Big thumbs up from me:-)
Delicious desserts for a good price, nice ambience and great customer service. Thumbs up.
The Urban Chocolatier was absolutely amazing!! There service was great and their waffles are to die for I recommend Cookie Monster along, with their Ferrero Rocher milkshake. Their decor was also outstanding I was very pleased. And I also loved that the drinks with many flavors were served in a science beaker as if it was an experiment. Overall I had a great experience.
Been going to the Urban Chocolatier now for around a month and I cant really explain how much i love it. This is by far the best dessert lounge in town. They are so unique, and do actually have proper desserts not just ice-cream. Its very good value for money and their service is good too. They dont charge service charge either and are like the only place in whitechapel that actually accept card payments. My favourite dessert would have to be the red velvet souffle with ice-cream. They even have a red velvet ice-cream. So delicious. Ive never been a huge fan of chocolate, even as a child but this place has made me fall in love with chocolate. Big thumbs up to Urban chocolatier.
This place is absolutely amazing. A coffee shop, chocolatier, dessert parlour, dry bar and they have so much variety on the menu. They have a whole page of hot chocolates on the menu too. Somethings on the menu are very pricey but they are some of the special dishes, the majority of things are very reasonable in comparison to the portion sizes, dare i say it; quite cheap. Customer service is perfect, decor is amazing, its just a world away. It is on a nice quiet side street too so away from the hustle and bustle. fab atmosphere and will be back many more times.
You're in for a treat with the desserts here. You'll find a great variety of cakes, ice cream sundaes, and cookie dough to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The portions are super generous and definitely worth your money.
The red velvet cake was out of this world!
Wanted some late night desert so ordered from Uber eats. They all tasted really good and everyone that has mentioned portions are huge are correct! I ordered a red velvet cake and split it in half with my husband as it was too much for 1 person and was very very sweet. Ordered a chocolate chunk brownie cake which comes as 2 pieces, a chocolate amore cake and a caramel tart. All were beautifully presented with icing sugar and chocolate sauce around them and very big slices and came with small pots of vanilla ice cream, I do think it would've been better if it came with custard as not everyone will like cake and ice cream as a combination, had to pay £1.50 to add some custard to my cake which I think is a bit too much. Each slice of cake was £6.95. I was really shocked at how everything was packed as I'd never ordered from here before, had their own brand packaging and boxes provided loads of tissue forks and spoons. If you're craving something sweet you should order from here as you'll get a huge portion and your craving will be satisfied.
The picture says it all. I ordered the cake shake. I literally got two desserts in one a cake and a milkshake for just £7.99. The portions here are much bigger than Creams which can sometimes be quiet stingy with their dessert sizes. The cake itself was very moist soft and enjoyable to eat. The milkshake itself was very nice my only concern was the straw which was not that great to be honest. Overall the service was quick and there are plenty of seating options depending on your needs.
Had the red velvet waffle and cookie dough lotus biscoff.
The waffle was amazing one of the best I've had. The cookie dough biscoff was huge and got a bit too sweet. But enough to share between 2-3 people. Will be going back!
After having a full meal dinner at a renowned restaurant nearby all me and my friends needed was a great dessert and the Urban chocolatier was exactly what we were looking for. We had had enough food that day but all were carving something sweet and we had ordered a white chocolate cookie dough mugshot (picture of which is attached in this review). It was so filling and full of great chocolate that I would surely go there once again to eat something similar on the menu. I have heard just good things about this. Also, the two people who lent us the menu and greeted us with kindness were one of the reasons we felt welcomed there. Amazing place to have your dessert if price isn't an issue for you. Would surely suggest the readers to opt for the white chocolate cookie dough since it was amazing and will explore more on the menu and keep updating. Thanks :)
Big portion definitely can share with your friends. Nice dessert after a full dinner. The ferero roche sundae was nice but my friend didn't really enjoy their pistachio milkcake. Lots of ice cream.
My first time tasting cookie dough, after hearing so much about this dessert. We had it delivered late at night, right before the shop's closing time. Still we received warm and fresh packets of cookie dough and waffles. We loved it so much that we decided to visit the store to try the desserts again.
We visited the outlet on new year's eve. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait a long time for our hot delicious dessert to be served. The dishes are a bit expensive in my opinion, but definitely worth it. The interior is nicely decorated. I loved the flowery theme.
A lovely dessert hun with plenty of delicious options! The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended!
I love chocolate desserts, the brownie cake was really good. Only thing I wish was that the brownie was a richer darker chocolate than milk. Service was good but slow.
Much like other dessert shops, this shop also offers waffles, sundaes, crepes, pancakes, freaky shakes, milk shakes, smoothies, mock tail, juices, hot/tea and coffee.
FOOD
We ordered 3 different food, a pancake with biscoff topping, peanut butter sizzler and blue lagoon drink. Along with the pancake and sizzler, we ordered a coconut strawberry milkshake and caramel milkshake.
I was happy with the taste of the peanut butter sizzler, yes the caramel juice does sizzle at the bottom just like the TV advert display. The price however was too pricey for its small size, though the portion can be satisfing if you are having other treats as well or you just want to finish your day with this dessert.
Milkshake coconut strawberry flavour was sweet. I tasted strawberry, but it just felt too sweet, like I tasted so much sugar but it lacked of coconut.
The blue lagoon is a mock tail drink with their special ingredients. It supposed to come in glass, however the staff serving us "recommended" we have it in plastic. I wasn't happy with this because it didn't look nice, it's a mocktail drink therefore it supposed to COME in a glass. The staff said it is recommended to get it in plastic because the glass breaks easily.
As for the taste, it was very good, sweet, declious with a hint of mint to the taste flavours.
PRICE
Very pricey, I don't know if the inflation increased their prices, however the Signature Seller Sizzlers were quite pricey for their small portion size. For an example you pay £8 just for a 4 pieces of baklava in a sauce, that is ridiculous.
SERVICE
This place has seating inside however quite limited, they have more spaces for couples than for groups or families. We went around 18:15pm on Saturday night and it was quite busy. Though it isn't consistently busy but by 7pm I saw a family waiting for a seat, so we had to finish our stay to let them seat in.
Staff were polite and not rude.
I wasn't happy with the table we sat at because one of the table was very wobbly, and it is something they need to fix.
Parking can be a problem here especially when it is a busy period. You can pay for parking at paybyphone. It is best to come via Elizabeth line train.
I would recommend this place, location is hidden from the Whitechapel main "Indian/Asian" streets, which is a nice break from those encounters. Price is high however taste is good.
Beautiful setting with a wall of flowers. I found staff helpful and particularly enjoyed my tasty strawberry smoothie. Thanks to Rishi for your kindness in charging up my phone and for exceptional service.
Great customer service provided by waitress, but they had forgotten our order and took longer than anticipated. Went in Ramadan after late prayers around 1AM and staff were respectful enough to turn off the music when we requested. Good portion size and really tasty. Great atmosphere and good prices.
French toast went down a treat! Service was also great from Rahul who was very kind and attentive
