I love it here. It's fantastic. Great staff and a fantastic location.
Royal Inn On The Park is situated at the edge of Victoria Park on Lauriston Road. Lovely traditional setting inside and a decent sized beer garden with views of the park. The pub showed sport outside which was a real treat. Only went along for a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon but it was a good atmosphere and wasn’t too busy, which was nice...
Gastro type pub on the edge of victoria park. Good beer selection and pleasant atmosphere. Nice big beer garden too. Food is average for the price. We had Sunday lunch, the beef was pretty good and lots of it! Vegetables were not so good and the Yorkshire pudding was soggy not helped by the fact that it was drenched in horse radish sauce! Great place for a beer though especially on a sunny day when you can sit in the garden. Worth a visit. Food 6/10 pub 8/10.
Good food and atmosphere. Nice beers on tap. Great Sunday lunch. Perfect pub for the summer evenings as well as those cold winter days.
It's good. Not mind-blowingly out of this world, but good quality ingredients, cooked well. The menu is traditional: lamb, chicken, beef, or pork roast (and a token veggie dish: I would only recommend this place to meat eaters), and chocolate tart, crumble, or sticky toffee pud for dessert.
We are currently in the process of finding somewhere else to live. Not only are we paying too much for this place, but our landlady has decided to increase the rent once our contract exprires. Can't blame her really, I'd do it also, but we don't want to pay it. So we are moving. We have been thinking about moving out further east for sometime now, mainly as the rents are cheaper, living is cheaper and it gives me another excuse to quit my job and look for another one. Now I can blame the distance, amongst other things. So off to Victoria Park we tromped to look round a few houses that we just about had enough money for. Just. But they were all the same. Nice area, crap flats. Finding this a lot recently. So scrap Victoria Fields off the list. Phew. I did find the area a tad dull to be honest so I am not too unhappy that we won't be moving there. Except that there is the Lauriston there. Which is part of the group that owns my own personal favourite pizza pub, the Regent in Islington. S

This pub is huge with a massive dining area at the back yet never seems to get very busy. We went last night for a couple and ended up spending most of the evening there, getting food that turned out to be really rather good. I kept it simple - sausage roll, scotch egg and some chips. The others got a sharing board of meats and roasted vegetables with the strongest blue cheese dip I've ever had.
The sausage roll was actually two stuffed into flaky poetry with sesame seeds. The scotch egg yolk had the right squidginess to it and the chips were brilliant. Nice and crunchy. I didn't really expect much but I would definitely eat here again. They did, however, serve the most insipid, thin attempt at picallili I've ever seen!
This pub has ample of space to sit down. There is a marquee area to cover the place facing Victoria Park. Food came out very fast. Literally 10 minutes wait! Although the meat was over cooked, some of the sides were alright. It is a decent place to have Sunday roast in this area.
Nice pub by the park, I come here whenever I'm staying in the area.
Nice pub right on the park. The food was ok, the vegetarian options were a bit lacking unfortunately. Good selection of beers and wines. We went for the Thursday night quiz which was fun.
Stopped for a quick glass of nice (Italian) red wine after a walk around Victoria Park, reasonably priced for London as well, 👍
Clean outside seating area
Lovely atmosphere in this local spot! The bar staff are super friendly. Great venue for an event too :)
Haven't been here for a few years. Always wanted a roast dinner as last time they had run out. It was very disappointing, both myself and my partner could cook a better roast, and bought it for less than £40, and had left overs.
Very minimal and basic.
Really great food and the staff were very friendly. We ordered food just as the kitchen had opened and didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes which was great as we were starving.
Only downsides were there were no menus on the table and no table service for ordering.
The outside back garden provided good shelter and warmth on a very windy day. Will definitely be back for another delicious burger.
Also lots and lots of dogs 💜
Lovely food in very generous portions. The outside space with a view of the park is nice come rain or shine. A good place to eat with children.
What a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful day. In my all time top ten days of my life (and I have two children!!). Extra special thanks to the team especially Joseph who went above and beyond expectation. What a shame marriage is a once in a lifetime event!
Not fancy but very well located for Victoria Park. Dog friendly and relaxed. Gets busy at peak times (a warm Sunday afternoon) but quiet on weekdays.
Great venue with delightful staff, right next to Victoria Park, massive place with the "shabby chic" look, perfect for parties or meet ups. Great beer, away from the mainstream. Still many recognisable brews though. The Burdett-Coutts fountain is in the park, the first source of clean drinking water in the area, fascinating story. This place is certainly worth a visit!
Amazing pub with lovely outdoor seating area.
Drinks are reasonably priced.
Only downfall, they do not serve jäger bombs.
Lovely pub next to the park to enjoy your Sunday Roast dinner. Food is great and it comes in a large size. Sunday lunch time is quite busy though so you might find it difficult to find a table even though is big pub. The outside area is great as it's feels that you are in the park. The only annoying thing is that you have to go to the bar and order your food even though there are waitress around.
Great pub, nice food, friendly staff, good outside area and lovely location next to the park.
Not really a fair review as I was only there for half an hour but I can imagine in peak times this place is biiiiizaaay. Great big bar with a huge selection. Obviously location right on Victoria Park is amazing. Perfect for a cider in the sun!
