We were on a leaving dinner for a work friend paid by the company. The food is excellent but it is very central London pricing (£18burger, £30 steak) designed for expense accounts. Not a ton of vegetarian options as this place is about meat meat and meat. The place was almost empty so service was quick and efficient but therefore there wasn't really an atmosphere. The design is quite distinctive and there's even a cocktail bar so assume it could be better on a Friday night.
It was a good meal, but I wouldn’t say it justified the price. I ordered my fillet medium rare and it arrived medium, it wasn’t the most flavoursome piece of meat either. The mushrooms and potatoes were nice but nothing special. Definitely not bad, the interior is very nice and the service is friendly, but I think there are better value for money steaks in London
Went to Chophouse on Saturday 4th Nov.
Table for 5 we had the lamp chops, bacon cheese burger and mini burgers they were all amazing. The food was good to perfection. The medium lamb chops were divine.
The service and food were amazing really recommend a visit !!!!!
Amazing food , service and venue. Chop house is not only meet but also fish.
From starters to dessert we enjoyed every single bite. You can feel the chef creativity from the plate decoration and understand the chef passion from the food flavour. Fresh and new. Absolutely recommend
Very friendly staff and great tasting food. I would recommend having the octopus as a starter along with the fresh bread. Both are super tasty.
Great Restaurant
A lovely restaurant at the bottom of the Old Bailey, you feel the history as you walk down.
A warm greeting from awaited us from the Floor Supervisor Alice who took us to a well stocked bar before we sat at our table.
I loved the feel of the actual menu, it felt like cowhide which added to the ambience of being in a chop house.
Our table waiter for food was Alejandro who was very friendly, and after taking our order and asking about allergies, finished with "no further questions"....given the proximity to the Old Bailey I found quite humorous!
We had the sourdough bread, rarebit soldiers, hot salt beef brisket sandwich and the burger, with fries. Great meal, well cooked in the open kitchen (spotlessly clean) by Wesley. Now I am not sure just how excited you can get with fries, just they were delicious.....Like eating crispy air!
Our drinks waiter, Yannick, was very attentive and knowledgeable and kept a steady flow of great cocktails.
The evening finished with an introduction to the GM, Red. Friendly and engaging and willing to spend time with Customers, always a winner with me.
The price point was good, with an option to upgrade if you feel to do so.
We will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend......Thank you Team PCH :)
Very tasty shared lunch for a group of meat lovers, not cheap but fortunately I wasn't paying!
I was surprised how quiet the restaurant was for a Saturday night, but I don't mind quiet! The staff were friendly and the food was excellent - The starter menu is a bit odd so we went straight to the main and then just had sorbet for desert. I remember when this restaurant was based right next to St. Pauls, it's not as busy or as good as it was then, but still worth a visit.
Gorgeous food and amazing staff. There for my husband’s 50th. Couldn’t fault anything at all. Can’t wait to go back.
Very delicious food, very attentive service and great location. This is where they film the uk TV program "First Date". Also the location is perfect if you are visiting St Paul's cathedral. We've ordered the set menu 3 course for £30 (£20 with eat out help out). Lamb shank was so moist, almost melt in your mouth. Chips was really nice and crispy, I think it was triple cooked. We've ordered the vegan chocolate and coconut mousse that was recommended by the waitress and it was amazing!
I've also had steak and burgers there before and they were also lovely.

Special day out .Went here for my birthday as i had seen this restaurant on tv .
Booked a tablet had to wait to be seated. Food was plentiful i had roasted lamb dinner very nice but could of had bit more seasoning.
Staff very helpful smartly dresses and patient. .
Restaurant was quite busy .
Children menu available. And vegan food.
We had a lovely evening.
Really Nice Sunday Lunch!
I took my wife hear as part of her birthday treat.
Obviously she is a fan of the TV show but more importantly than that we are both fans of spending our money on experiences and the experience here was fantastic.
We arrived 45 minutes early but they were more than happy to accept us. They took care of our coats and happily showed us to our table.
One of the best things about this place was the staff’s knowledge of the menu and wine list, we travel and eat out a lot and there is nothing more frustrating than when the waiter just wants you to buy the most expensive thing on the menu. – This was definitely not the case here.
We wasn’t hugely hungry so we skipped starters and had some bread and olives for the table, fish & chips and Sunday Roast Lamb both were very tasty and we didn’t really have room for pudding…. so we shared a sticky toffee pudding and that was also lovely.
With the drinks and tip it came to £75… not cheap but this is central London and it was lovely so worth it.
Top Tip! This restaurant is often fully booked when other restaurants in the chain have availability, based on the experience here I’d happily visit one of the others in the future.
I had a nice business lunch here. The steak was tasty but a tad on the too well done side. The spinach were a bit bland.
So overall ok but not the best steak ever.
New location and slightly different menu. The food is still amazing and the staff could not do enough for us.
It was our wedding anniversary and they gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly and brought out a free dessert with Happy anniversary on it.
Will definitely be coming back.
Thank you
Came here for a birthday meal with my partner. The service and food were exceptional.
We booked for 7pm, and were seated quickly. The menu was brilliant and had lots of choices. However, the only downside I could possibly see was that the selection of meat on the blackboard had already sold pretty quickly by 7pm (for example, they only had one Chateaubriand which had already been sold, two Picanha - we had the last one, and their daily “market special” had sold out). So I’d advise either booking early or ordering ahead if possible!
The staff couldn’t do enough to assist and provide excellent service, and were able to talk through options on the menu and provide recommendations which is always good to see.
We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
