Love the place. Been a few times now. Perfect way to spend the small hours. Especially if we can get in the little booth by the stage. Perfection

Recommended for all jazz lovers. Very cozy, and staff are friendly.
Food there isn’t bad at all. I enjoyed a music live show, with a good drink and yummy bite.

One of the best small late-night haunts in Soho, Jazz After Dark gets an eclectic and fascinating mix of musicians to perform each night on its tiny stage.

From night to night you might be entertained by a German chanteuse strumming a ukelele (Manuela? She's gone back to Dusseldorf I think), or a blues band, jazz ensemble or crooner.

Amy Winehouse used to perform here quite regularly in a very off the cuff kind of way, before her untimely passing, and owner Sam has plastered the walls with his paintings of her. He will regale you with stories of the legend and show you the little VIP area to the side of the stage where she would drink if you ask him nicely.

At different times it's been a bit of a drop in centre for hard living London musicians, and Pete Doherty still comes in when he's not in Paris.

A real family business, Sam and his wife run the little lounge bar late into the night, serving champagne, beer and spirits. You can order food during the evening and they have a lunchtime menu, as well as doing a roaring trade with the office Christmas parties each year.

There is a cover charge, and most people settle in for the night once they arrive, to either enjoy the music or watch the passing parade of characters on Greek Street.

Based on my personal experience and opinion. The place is small so obviously it’s not gonna get too crowded which is a plus for me it’s a small cozy jazz club it’s not a techno club. The staff were lovely to us. Can’t comment on food as we didn’t have any. The owner was kind to us and his wife as well and he made efforts to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The live music was amazing, bouncer was kind and helpful and Amy’s room was so lovely I would definitely recommend.

Amy Lives Her spirit is evident from the moment you walk in, Sam, the long time owner, has some lovely portraits on display of her and all sorts of beautiful things. I always like being next to her room when I perform. The musicians are always great 👍 Be prepared for a £20 entry fee

Currently on my first trip to London and happened across jazz after dark by chance. Am on my 2nd visit as I am writing this. My only critique is its priceiness to get in and for a pint, but i understand the reason as we all need to make a living and the cost of living crises isn't making that easy. In terms of the venue itself, no complaints. It is quite small, but that adds to a nice and chilled atmosphere. The blonde waitress/barmaid who has served me tonight and last night is an absolute treat. Very welcoming and very warm smile. Seems more than happy and keen to help all customers. The band playing last night and tonight are fantastic, the singer in particular is absolutely amazing. Overall a pleasant experience and if I am in London again, I shall definitely visit jazz after dark again. Just a nitpick here, the music that's playing while the band is resting should be more jazz classics as opposed to popular songs.

I went yesterday on a date, completely randomly. Best experience ever, starting from the most welcoming door man, all the way to the staff and the band playing, everyone was so nice, I felt like home instantly. The waitress gave us a sit literally next the drummer, he was so cool and nice. Can’t wait to go again!

Great little bar! Old style but still a Soho vibe. Basic but makes up for this in atmosphere.

We go regularly, especially when we have guests in town, the cozy VIP area is a sweet little spot right by the band. The service, the music and the drinks are great. Towards the end of the sets it’s good to get up for a little dance if you can squeeze yourself in! Always looking forward to the next time! See you soon!

Not for everyone but I would definitely recommend going. The live music is great, if you intend to order cocktails you'd be better off ordering a jug as the actual glasses themselves are quite small for the price you pay. It definitely has character and is quite interesting as it doubles as an art gallery!
