We’ve had takeaway from Mamas twice now, both times have have left us excited to go back! The food it so flavourful and we loved trying eating the Ethiopian way! Mamas is not on any of the takeaway sites so we called up and it was ready to collect in 10mins! Menu is very simple (please correct me if I’m wrong) but you can order either meat or vegetarian options. Mama will also ask how many people and prepare the perfect amount of injera (flatbread/ pancake)! Highly recommend x

We had a lovely time here. We went in and asked for a selection of food for one veggie and one meat-eater and were served a huge plate with at least six different things that were all vegan and yummy! The meat option was delicious, too. The chef was very friendly and helpful and came out to speak to us about the different foods we had. We really enjoyed our meal - it was very tasty and great value for money!

My daughter myself and 8year granddaughter attended this restaurant for dinner. We were greeted at the door and although we did not have a reservation we we were seated in a nice comfortable spot. These is a variety of African and west Indian dishes on the menu. The dishes we selected were delicious. I order fish but did not like the way it was prepared not any fault of the cook just my personal preference. The rest of the food was good. My granddaughter had ice cream after the meal and could not finish it as it was a generous portion. The bill was not extortionate and the service charges were reasonable. Food very filling.

Love Ethiopian cuisine and the food here was great, really interesting flavours in the veggie options and eating with your fingers is always fun. Great value too and super friendly staff. The restaurant itself is a bit shabby and could do with some love but don't let that put you off, support your local businesses and watch them grow!

Mama’s restaurant is an absolute gem in this area. A great family atmosphere accompanies delicious, nutritious and authentic Ethiopian food made with love and care. Very kind and friendly staff with a hospitable atmosphere. And, the music is always sublime! As a regular, I recommend this spot to all my friends and it is always a joy to introduce new people to my favourite restaurant!

A very cozy and original place to eat at, we were received by a lovely woman that appointed us to our seats and offered us drinks. After some time we asked for some help with choosing our food and she helped us to order our meal. The food was wonderful and tasted like nothing else i’ve ever had, freshly prepared we could really taste that! The atmosphere in the place felt like home to me. Every customer seemed to have a different background but all came together to this restaurant to enjoy their time and meals. The interior and bathroom aren’t in the best of shape but are definitely clean! The staff en chef make up for all of that. 10/10 experience.

Had one of the most delicious meals last night at Mama's! They have a new chef working and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his food. The atmosphere is unpretentious and cosy, and it's the kind of place where you feel like you can really relax. My friend and I left clean plates which was impressive given the really generous portions, but it was seriously tasty. Really affordable, i don't know many places in London where you can have two beers and a meal for two for under £25. This is my new favorite restaurant in Tottenham - cant wait to go back!

My new ‘local go-to’ takeaway spot. They are prepared for those who are unfamiliar with Ethiopian food like I was- no menu was handed over, our group of four was just asked ‘how many vegans, how many meat?’ We went for two vegan, two meat, and none of us were disappointed after sharing the spoils. We got it on the way home from having a couple of drinks at ‘The Palm’ after being somewhat underwhelmed by their menu, namely the price/portion size ratio on offer there. The pancake-like bread that came with the meal was incredible- freshly made (1 per person, and nearly two feet wide!!) we would break a piece off and use it instead of cutlery. This aerated bread mops up any flavoursome juices while the hint of citrus it carried really lifted the flavours of the rest of the food. Four people with huge appetites and we still had leftovers, and it really wasn’t too heavy at all. The price tag is great, too. £40-£45 for all 4 people. If you get bored of the pub food next door, or just fancy a takeaway on the way home, I heartily recommend this friendly place which welcomed and nourished a group who were unsure of what to order.
