I have known this cafe for many years and pop in from time to time, to relax and either have their very tasty breakfast or just a snack, like ham and cheese sandwich.
Cafes like the boathouse are very much part of the community. We need non commercial friendly family owned businesses to flower in our little village.
Staff and owner are friendly and welcoming, sometimes it's busy, which is good, so we as customers need to be patient.
They have a very good menu on offer, also they have provided catering to local community events that l have been involved in and their food has been well received. As l often point out we need places to take time out and chill out, this is one of them, especially if you have small children. It has a lovely atmosphere and fab unique decor.
What a wonderful place. Friendly, homely feel. Best coffee we've had in ages!!! Food incredibly fresh and full flavour. Highly recommend.

This is my favourite café in Barnes. The food is delicious - I’m not even vegetarian, but their veggie sausages are that good that I often go for the veggie breakfast. Good variety on the menu.
The people are great - friendly and efficient.
They’ve done a great job with the outdoor space at the back.
Staff are friendly, food arrived quickly which was great as we didn't have much time. Coffee was excellent and the carrot cake muffin was delicious. The cafe has a very relaxing atmosphere and I love the nautical old-school decor. My partner especially loved the music choice.
Popped in for some drinks before a chiropractic appointment.
The waitress who has dark brown hair was really lovely and polite. She is friendly and happy to help which made it a great experience.
Try the back garden as irs great to relax out there.
Thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate milkshake and the frsh juice but i would like some more in the cup and ice as opposed to foam from the blender. Still really tasty though.

I come to this cafe whenever I am in Barnes - which is very often. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff are all super nice and the food is healthy, good quality, good value and made on the spot - for example the orange juice is squeezed in front of you and is fresh as can be.
Nice little garden too for those sunny days. And they have newspapers to read over your breakfast and wifi.
this is my second review. one was for cappuccino on the go and this time i've had breakfast in the new garden. the food was amazing and the service so kind. The staff is very sweet and mindful to every details. I recommend the boathouse ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
