Excellent food. Fast service
As far as pop up restaurants go, this was one of my favourites. Tucked away in a back street of Brixton, The Beehive aims to be an exploration of contemporary British cuisine.
Offering a five course tasting menu for £35, the food at The Beehive is really delicious, but the menu changes every week.
We ate cauliflower with scallops, chicken with peers, lamb with white turnips and the most delicious wild garlic, asparagus with egg and bacon and spelt drop buns for pudding.
All of the food is locally sourced and the friendly staff talk you through the dishes you're being served. When we visited, The Beehive didn't have a licence but for a £5 per head corkage charge, the team will happily add BYOB spirits to their list of exceptionally tasty cocktails.
Tasty English breakfast, great customer service and reasonable prices. Will definitely visit this pub again!
Oh wow a proper old English pub!
This place was buzzing and had a character of it's own.
Such a lively atmosphere, good beer, good music and a really nice menu.
I would definitely go again when I'm in the area.
Usual Wetherspoon food. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips. Had a non acholic cider for the first time. Tasted quite nice actually. Cozy booth created a lovely atmosphere for a catch up with the ladies.
Barman from Brum was fantastic. Extremely busy difficult to find a table and when we did needed cleaning. Great atmosphere in there
Service was excellent.
Standard Wetherspoons. The place has seen better days and could probably do with a refurbishment but it’s got an excellent location and friendly efficient staff. They have some weird menu items here that I’ve not seen available at other Wetherspoons.
10/10 spoons here. Fast service fast pints. Speedy service just gets the job done pre gig, and they have an unreal vegetarian lasagne special for only like 3 or 4 quid. If you're on the run and in need of a feed and G&t GET here. Immediately. Quick and forty but that's what we live for out here, always hustling, always striving, always delivering.
Very close to David Bowie memorial and tube station. Had a couple of beers 🍻 to chill out. Very friendly staff, customer's and atmosphere. Will definitely 💯 visit again when in London. 99p a pint 😀😃🙂🙃😊
It's a Weatherspoons at the end of the day. Food, standard, drinks, typical, but...
It has an atmosphere like no other I've been in. The staff and customers were so welcoming it was lime walking into your old school local. Loved it.
Nice pub, but not very big so gets very crowded feeling quickly
Always a good place to have a pint of cold beer after work ….
Whether you want pre party drinks or a chill spot to hang for a bit, this place it’s awesome. The local bring a special and lively vibe to it and you can get amazing deals on cocktails jugs and shots. It is a small and cozy pub and the staff are always lovely. Definitely a good environment in the morning to go with kids as well and a must-try when visiting Brixton. No matter the time of the day, the food is banging and they have a wide range of options! Props to The Beehive ;)
Good food. Great prices. Staff not the friendliest.
A great place, proper brick and mortar pub with low prices. We were met by a pigeon.
It's been about a year since I've been here, but it's still an amazingly wonderful and welcoming pub. Small, bordering on intimate. The staff are fantastic- cheerful, happy to have a chat and very efficient. The pub is on a nice and quiet on a back street with little traffic. Quite busy in the early afternoon with plenty of people happy to taste their fine beers. The Guinness was superb as was the Southwold bitter.
It was very busy on the day of the coronation and yet they still maintained the pub to a standard where you could eat at a reasonable time and they collect your plates when your done.
