I love this independent cafe, the coffee is excellent, the food is delicious and the owners are so passionate. We are so lucky to have such a great local cafe in Catford , they sell cool gifts and cards too x

Had a lovely breakfast with a cup of Tea Pigs tea-my favourite brand. Love the way it is decorated. I especially liked the milk glasses. Will definitely go back there again.

Great first visit, very impressed. Didn't see their menu online anywhere so signed up to Zomato just to upload it! Cafe feels like a step back to 50s Britain and the staff were lovely :)

I'm quite new to the neighbourhood so it was my first time to visit them. And I'm sure it won't be my last time as this place will be my go-to brunch spot from now on. I loved my pancakes with scrambled eggs on top and salmon on the side and the coffee was really good too! They have decaf options so I ended up having two cups of latte which i normally don't. Very sweet and cozy place, absolutely recommend to everyone.

Lovely local cafe with a large menu of breakfast / brunch and lunch foods. I have been 3 times now, and can highly recommend the home made baked beans on toast with spinach! The proprietors are friendly and welcome and seem to know many of their customers by name which is always a good sign. Prices range from £4 to £8 and there is always a choice of about 4 or 5 baked deserts that are fresh and home made. They do have a toilet that is well maintained, and a garden with plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere. Highly recommended!

My Mother, Daughter and I went for breakfast this morning. Everything we had was gorgeous. Eggy bread with banana and maple syrup. Daughter did not speak and wolfed it down. My mother had eggs Florentine, eggs cooked perfectly, good ratio of spinach, sauce perfect. I went for bacon and tomato chutney sandwich. Lovely generous bacon, perfect chutney just lovely. Two ladies cooking and serving, could not be friendlier, attentive but not in your face. Definitely will be going back. YUM!

Really fantastic coffee (though very tiny cups) and very good food, especially breakfast. I really wish they'd do hash browns or chips rather than just toast but that's mostly a personal preference really. Cosy interior and great garden when it's nice weather.

One of the best, if not THE best English breakfasts I have had in many a year, and being a biker I have had a few. :-) Sausages were chipolatas and superb, bacon was lovely, toast was a generous two huge slices of wonderful sourdough toasted to perfection, and the eggs were just right. I shall return.

Hither Greens Pride & Joy. Dog friendly. This (hidden) gem serves good food, good music, and friendly smiles :) Nothing they serve is "just" food. Its all -good- food. The staff is nice, local, friendly people which gives this place a very homely feel to it. They also have a back garden, perfect for enjoying in the sun :) there are also tables and chairs/benches out front. Archibald's is not your local builders cafe/greasy spoon. Archibald's is a one of a kind establishment of Hither Green.

I live in Norfolk, but frequently come to London for family events. I discovered ARCHIBALD'S about 18 months ago, following a recommendation and now invariably meet family there for breakfast or brunch. I was today checking their opening times over the August Bank Holiday weekend and saw some disparaging reviews. Having eaten there over 50 times, I have never received or witnessed rude comments or surly attitude from any member of staff; in fact quite the reverse! I am disabled and use walking sticks or a 'rollator' (bigger than a pram) and from my first visit I was assisted and made most welcome. I go there and will continue to do so, because the I find the food is excellent, the service efficient and the ambience convivial. Of course you will pay more than a 'greasy spoon' or a 'Mc Processed' but quality is defined by maintaining a high standard, not a low price.

A nice little cafe, fairly popular with families. Offers daily "bruncheons" and delicious cake. My BAT was OK, but not quite up to the standard of some of their other fare. Make sure you ask for chutney with it (no chilli sauce available, but Worcester, tomato ketchup and brown sauce.). Good flat white (uses Climpson beans) . Wide range of teas. Monthly supper club, bookable in advance. Friendly staff. Good size garden area. Limited disabled access with steps down to toilet.

A lovely little cafe, nicely decorated and with friendly staff. The menu is limited though - very carb-heavy and no salads - and could do with being a bit more creative / inclusive.

Food here is very delicious. Especially avo and chorizo on toast. Only gripe would be the newspaper selection which tends to be mainly old copies of the Times and even worse the Telegraph.
