We found this out of the blue but what a find!!!
Beautiful pub really inexpensive drinks downstairs bar staff very friendly
Upstairs is a lovely restaurant test served amazing food again at a very reasonable price. The open fires was very welcome the day we visited.
Can't recommend this pub enough.
Great experience, I organised my birthday party on the second floor. The home made beer, the localy cocked good food, and the service, was absolutely great. Highly recommended. Cedrick
Nice place for a group to gather. Got a pint that tasted nice so I guess it ticks all the boxes
Very friendly local boozer with outdoor space and well priced drinks!!
Beautiful food and great drinks.i would highly recommend
Enjoy
A lovely little pub, is it, or is it not part of a pubco chain? Lovely outdoor tables to enjoy a balmy summer evening. Decent wine offering, though only 2 choices. Just a nice, simple neighborhood pub.

❤️ One for the traditionalist.
.
The Eagle is located alongside a smart row of shops at the edge of Little Venice. The nearest Tube station is Warwick Avenue, it’s a pleasant five minute stroll to get here.
This classic Sam Smiths pub was built in 1856 and was known as The Robert Browning until 2013. Victorian poet and playwright Robert Browning lived close by in Warwick Crescent between 1862-1887.
The decor here is quintessential Sam Smiths with a traditional Victorian feel. As you enter, you arrive into a darkened interior that is full of old world charm. The servery is horseshoe shaped and takes pride of place at the heart of this pub. There is a chequered floor surrounded the servery which adds an almost regal feel. There is plenty of seating to perch on, having said that it’s worth walking about to take a look at the pictures and prints showing the history of the local area. Upstairs is a comfy dining room, as lovely as it is, it looks rarely used. At the back of the pub is modern courtyard beer garden, there is also some café style seating out front.
As most of you are aware, the beer offering is all in house. I had a pint of Taddy Lager which is my go-to when visiting a Sam Smiths, my pint was enjoyable and pleasingly cost less than six quid. The food menu is traditional pub fayre, Fish & Chips costs ÂŁ15.50.
We arrived around 4.30pm on a sunny Saturday back in September. The pub was fairly quiet with a few punters both inside and out. As it was a nice day, we decided to sit out the front and soak up a few rays, enjoy our pints and watch the world go by. The service was pleasant, the chap on duty was friendly and welcoming.
The Eagle is in a great location on a upmarket parade of shops, it is also just a stones throw from Lords Cricket Ground if you fancy a pre-innings pint or two. The decor here is fantastic almost “Stately”, there is an authentic Victorian ambiance to enjoy. The beer and food are fairly reasonable, so no premium paid considering the area. If you like all things traditional, this is the pub for you.

We loved this place! It was a great surprise as we were walking the canal and needed a break. It was 4 o'clock and the kitchen was closed, but they had great nuts and some rolls for snacks. The bartender was excellent and we had great drinks! I really loved the summer fruit cup and will now try to find Walker & Scott liqueur somewhere else. I heard that out of the Samuel Smith brewery they are called Pimm's. :-)
Beautiful old pub, helpful and friendly staff. It deserves to have more customers. Maybe the lack of muzak deters some people, but I find it refreshing. Support our heritage pubs!
Hallelujah! Maida Vale has now got a decent pub once more! Just had Sunday lunch at the newly taken over The Eagle- genuinely really lovely roast and damn fine wine at normal reasonable prices- will definitely go back, new management and fresh vibes and very friendly with decent traditional fare - got my vote for sure- well happy they’ve revived a much needed and wanted local boozer with decent food xx
One of my locals and always love the Taddy Porter. Sadly the lovely high ceilings of the 1st floor were closed but worth checking out as it almost feels like a private members club when all it really is is a Samuel Smith's owned pub.
Beautifully relaxing environment, friendly staff and fantastic food honestly priced for the area, Respectful clientele frequent this pub. Great for couples and a catch up with friends
Came in for the new food menu! It was delicious and such a good choice. We had lunch there. The best Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted. I hope word of mouth kicks in and locals start coming back for food here. The roast menu looks fabulous too so we will be back.
Defiantly worth giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed and we need a good local pub that serves great grub in the area .
Old school Samuel Smith local pub, lots of wood, dimly lit, friendly bar person, pool and darts, perfect!
Nice cosy pub with very good prices. Eaten at the Eagle at least five times, each time the food has been good - quite like the nachos. My only criticism is that they dont play any background music.
This is a proper pub! Quiet, enjoyable place for a drink or food. And the food is delicious.
Great new restaurant just opened upstairs. We had fish and chips and half bbq roast chicken. The food was amazing and the restaurant is just beautiful and wonderfully hosted. We highly recommend this place for reasonably price great pub food.
Best pub in area , proper quality beers 🍻 👌
A Very Nice Pub still in Traditional Style. I knew this Place 40 years ago and it brought back many happy memories. The Staff were polite and very friendly and now I am back in this area, I will certainly visit again.
Such a great London pub, really handy for Lord's! There are signs in the bar about their no devices policy, which was no problem to us! The barman was welcoming and informed us they only accept cash. We had 2 Taddy lagers which were really nice. ÂŁ7.80 for a round is excellent value, especially for London! It's a lovely, traditional pub inside but we spent a nice hour in their pleasant beer garden out the back. We will definitely return!
Popped in for food yesterday and couldn’t have enjoyed our meals more! Everything was fresh and cooked well. My son ordered fish and chips and the fish was so big it was hanging over the side of his plate! Friendly welcoming staff and lovely craft beers! Highly recommend!
