I love tapas. I love Barcelona. So when I accidentally stumbled past this place on the way to my hotel from the car park, I couldn't resist but to come back for some dinner entertainment! We didn't have a booking, and feared the worst when we saw how busy it was, but the gent at the door sat us down by the bar whilst he worked out where we could sit. A few moments later we were sat on a cute two-seater, in the thick of the action. We were presented with a food and drinks menu, but having that it was our first visit, it would have been rude to pass up their famous set menu with all the trimmings. We chucked in a jamon croquettes and a pan con tomate, just for good measure. These were accompanied by a bottle of rioja (medium/light red) and pint of Estrella Galicia! The food was all very good. The standout for me was the croquettes and the tortilla (very rare that you get tortilla this good - eggs cooked just under - perfect!). The reason this got 5* (would have been a 6* if possible) was the attentive and friendly service. Turns out the friendly gent at the door was the owner, David. He was really great, gave us so much time to chat and make us feel welcome. He even sent over his sherry expert, Will, to talk us through some post meal Fino options. I had the most incredible oloroso with some cheese, just wow. I hadn't seen any of the reviews before I came here, so really surprised to see the mixed bag. I had such a good night, the vibe was unreal and the meal was delightful. Wouldn't hesitate to come back, at all. Vamos!

We were made to feel welcome the minute we walked through the door. Ordered a few tapas dishes, most noteworthy were the pig cheeks and the fried Aubergine! Everything was delicious! Particular shout out to our fabulous waitress Maria Jorge who's enthusiasm to her job was a joy.

The BEST Spanish restaurant I've ever tried! The Sangria was so amazing🤌🤌🤌 All the dishes were delicious. Especially the seafood on their paellas was so fresh and good quality. The owner David was very kind and nice, and it was a lovely place to have lunch/dinner with friends. I would definitely return and recommend this place!

A quiet restaurant, which we choose for its close proximity to our walking tour later on. We ordered the set menu and all the tapas were delicious and filing. Good value too!

Delicious tapas, really satisfied with all the dishes! Croquettes melted in my mouth, the Spanish omelette with chorizo was amazing! The pork cheek bones were delicious as well!

Extremely authentic! Service was great, food was delicious. Our waitress told us all about our food, how it differs in different regions and gave us a great recommendation for dessert. 10/10 would go again.

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday and as she is from Catalan descent, I paid great attention when selecting the place.Needless to say, I have not regretted my choice for a moment. From the typical Catalan decorum and warm atmosphere to the friendly and helpful staff and the tasteful tapas, we had a very enjoyable experience. Our personal favourites were the tortilla española and the pan amb tomaquet, a classic in the Catalan cuisine yet so rare to find in London. She felt like she was eating her grandma's food for the time of an evening and for this, a huge thank you to Barcelona Tapas bar. Now that we have found this gem of a restaurant, we will definitely be back soon !

Serendipitous choice for a late lunch as we walked past. Excellent food and service. We ended up staying for several hours grazing on the excellent tapas. We made three separate orders for food, and the equivalent for drinks. Everything arrived speedily and with a smile. We will visit again in a more planned manner.

As a Spanish person I really liked the food in this place. Everything was very tasty and at a good temperature. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Un buen sitio para recordar lo buena que es nuestra comida! A bit expensive tho, and they charged me twice by mistake but I was at home already when I found out. Just check everything is correct on your recepit!

My secondary school and I went there to celebrate the end of year. We loved the restaurant! Quality tapas, excellent service, great atmosphere and very authentic. I am from Barcelona and I have been in other restaurants in London and nothing compare to Barcelona Tapas Bar. The event manager is also very friendly and very kind when accommodating a group of teenagers. I would 100% recommend the place to go for any occasion.

Great little tapas spot ! Could not fault the food at all. Chicken croquettes were absolutely unreal (we had to order more!). Very reasonably priced for London ! If you fancy some tapas, this place is definitely worth checking out !

There are numerous tapas to choose! Slightly expensive I’d say, but taste was good. The beef and lamb were tender and juicy, green peppers were delicious. I liked the light taste overall i.e. not too salty and heavy flavoured. The decor is not as interesting as the one on Lime St, but less busy therefore more quite. Staff was friendly but made a couple of mistakes.

Good Spanish like restaurant/ bar. The variety of the food menu is good, and they also play live music, which creates a great atmosphere. The wine selections could be better and the bread they serve is old. A good spot for a drink and tapas to catch up after work. Would recommend.

Just off the train at Liverpool Street and unable to check in to our hotel, we randomly came upon this place for lunch: it may be the best tapas we've ever tasted. We kept it simple with a set menu, but one established in 1991(!) and discovered if it's authentic and tastes amazing why change it. There's plenty of diverse dishes to order from, and a great range of beers, wines and cocktails... We had Malaga beers and a really good, mineral- enriched sparkling water. We loved the music (got tempted to dance 😁), and the atmosphere was calming and welcoming... Busy but not chaotic or crowded... It was punctuated by someone receiving a wonderful "Happy Birthday" serenade, then back to chill of the uplifting music of Spanish. We were served by quite a few servers (did I mention the set meal tapas was a huge amount of food 😉!?) and every one of them was cheery, attentive and genuinely seemed to be enjoying their work there... We would strongly recommend that you try this restaurant if you find yourself near this area! *Thank you so much, Barcelona Tapas Bar Staff Team for a lovely dining experience today!*
