I discovered this restaurant when I was browsing on the hungryhouse app. I was craving a roast chicken and was too lazy to cook. Lo and behold, my prayers got answered and I found Rotisserie Bute Street in South Kensington.

Since roast chicken was the ‘healthier’ option, I felt the need to pig out on other things in the menu. I love goat’s cheese and the salad sounded really tempting so ordered that. No roast chicken is complete without a side of potatoes and I have a special love for Gratin Dauphinois. To be honest, I love anything that is carbs and starchy!

I loved the fact how well packaged the meal was. No leaking/half open boxes in sight.

The only criticism would be for the dauphinois- they weren’t warmed through properly and that made almost quarter of the box inedible. Other than that, I will definitely be ordering from these guys. They’ve updated their menu to include some delicious lamb and cous cous dishes so I know what my next order will include. Thank you hungryhouse for helping me discover this takeaway! :D

Ever so happy we stumbled on this magnificent nest run by Husband & Wife who served a magnificent variety of Cold and Hot Mezze. I couldn't resist the urge to order their Hot & Cold Mezze Platter along with a single order of: Chicken Liver, sauteed in garlic, lemon juice and pomegranate molasses. I had a feast, my taste buds felt they had been invited to a glamorous wedding as they couldn't stop dancing with delight with every bite I took be it from the Mezze or mixed with the liver along with the zest of the lemon or the molasses. This nest is a must and I can't wait to visit again and try their main dishes be it Couscous or Rotisserie Chicken which looked and smelled scrumptious while they slowly rotated roasting on the skewers.

Excellent food served with excellent hospitality. Highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best if not the best in South Ken, all the dishes we had were delicious - great flavours, top quality, great portions and presentation. The rotisserie chicken was well cooked and juicy, the royal couscous a medley of delicious flavours and textures. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and has lovely ambience. Finally the price of the food and drinks are all very reasonable and value for money especially for the neighbourhood. Wishing the owners all the very best, we will be back for sure! L

Friendly service and delicious foods! I also love the decor inside, a pleasant dining environment with relaxing jazz musics. The Hummus dip comes with warm pita breads, one white and one whole meal. The falafels were fried and seasoned perfectly. They were Super fluffy on the inside with fragrant mixed herbs/spices and crispy on the outside, yum! For the main, we decided to share a Eli’a Special couscous. This includes 1/4 rotisserie chicken, 2 pieces of lamb shoulder (medium sized), 2 spicy sauces and a variety of roasted vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, courgettes, cabbage and tomatoes. All these were served on a bed of couscous! It was truly delectable and a very generous portion! I’d highly recommend sharing this dish between two people, especially girls. Though we didn’t manage to finish this between the two of us… Overall, we had a lovely time at the restaurant. The food, service and dinning environment were all fantastic. Considering the generous food portions, I’d say their prices are fair too! I’d definitely come again when I come around the area.

Stumbled across this little gem after going to an exhibition. Lovely outside seating area with the road closed off. Really reasonable prices, especially considering the area. The rotisserie chicken was deliciously moist and the tagine was generous and fragrant. Decent, reasonably priced wine list (again, especially considering the location!!). Well go again if in the area.

10/10 food, ambience, pricing Came here with my sister the other day and I can’t believe I forgot to write a review. I would recommend this place to those who love Mediterranean food. The baba ganoush was heavenly, the hot bread with the cold dip was to die for. We had other stuff that was good on its own but not that great together, however T hat was our mistake in not knowing which dishes worked together. The lady who served us was great. The restaurant was cozy and clean. Would definitely come back here again.

Gorgeous small local restaurant, delicious hearty food and friendly and professional staff (I think they were a family). Thank you for accommodating us (family of 3 including a 2 yo) on a Saturday night and despite not having booked a table in advance! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with you. My top fave dish was the chicken liver with freshly baked pita bread. Wine choices were also fab.

A beautiful place. We went there as a group of 7 people. Friendly staff, very fast and nice service. I liked all the starters specifically the chicken liver. My main was half a chicken! Liked it but was a bit dry

Felt like the jewel in the crown. I came across this delightful restaurant purely by chance after visiting a nearby museum. Very welcoming staff and the food was exceptionally good. I was dining alone but felt comfortable and had a cosy atmosphere and lovely decor..

I was drawn to this place tonight after visiting the V&A museum not too far away. The weather was nice so most people were sitting outside. I sat at one of the tables inside and ordered. The food tasted really good. The chicken burger had things in it that I wasn’t expecting and it all tasted great together. And as I sat there enjoying my meal, I could tell that the man and woman working there must own the place. They were always quick to get things to the tables and still had time to stop and have a pleasant conversion with regulars as well as new customers. They made me feel like definitely coming back to eat again. They are known for their chicken. Give them a try and enjoy your meal.

This was the last restaurant I ate at during my trip to London. The interior is so beautiful. I absolutely loved the food and the owners are so kind. I’m vegan so I had lentil soup, hummus, pita bread, string beans and falafel. Everything was delicious! Whenever I return to London, I will definitely go back to dine in.

POSSIBLY THE BEST COUS COUS IN LONDON. It was a pleasant surprise and it exceeded our expectations. Really everything in the menu is very tasty and it shows that it has been cooked with care, love and everything is homemade. The restaurant is beautiful both inside and its outside terrace, located on a pedestrian street, which is much appreciated. The mezzes and starters are really good, tasty and very well presented, but the cous cous is a real delight. Both the owners and the service are really friendly, professional and efficient. We really enjoyed the visit and the explanation of the dishes. Without a doubt, this hidden gem is now one of our favorite restaurants in London.

My friend and I happened upon this cute little place in South Ken. I was not at all expecting it to taste as yummy as it did! Some places I've been in spend more time on decor than they do food, but this place really covered all corners. The interior is beautiful, the food was delicious and the price is amazing - especially considering the area. We spoke with the owners too who were so polite and welcoming. Would definitely come again! 👌

Very good mediterenian food. Lots of choice, even a picky five year old found something tasty to eat. The service was excellent and I enjoyed the music and the decor. The owner, who we got talking to was very nice and friendly!

Refreshing and delicious and definitely not your typical restaurant. The rotisserie chicken was soft and moist and the gravy was delicious. A very good light meal!

Come here for the best tasting chicken escalope! I joined my friends for the BookforSix exclusive £33 menu and we got an amazing 6-course dinner! So much food and so filling. The chicken was so tasty, falafels are my favourite and tiramisu is to die for. Music was awesome as always, service was amazing, staff was attentive. Top service and 5 stars. Definitely will be back for more!
