I visited this place for the first time and it's highly recommended. The food is freshly cooked and it serves with fresh home made curries. The services were amazing and quick. The ambiance is perfect. Though coriander nan was a bit flat and dry but that's not a major issue. I really enjoyed visiting there and will plan a visit soon.
The restaurant serves delicious food and is a very consistent and convenient takeaway. Visited here a number of times, the place has become a regular for us. The food here is immensely delicious and this is one of mine and my family's favourite restaurant for indian cuisine! Definitely recommending to all !
This Indian restaurant is my absolute favorite for over ten years and continues to be so. The restaurant serves authentic home style food and not English versions of eastern cooking. The staff is friendly and the service is efficient. The vegetarian and chicken dishes are both delicious, however i have never tried mutton.
This is one of my favourite places for Indian food. The food has wonderful authentic flavours to it. There are different dishes every time you go. Fresh rotis, and such a wide range of veggie dishes and lamb and chicken dishes.
This place is topping the chat of my favorite places to chill out in London. Amazing beverage collection to choose from and incredible variety of food. The pricing is very reasonable and this place is easy affordable. The ambiance is very energetic and very cheerful and the decor is pretty exquisite. Excellent value for money. Recommended.
You are in a hurry and want to grab a quick takeaway meal then this is just the right place to visit. You will love the place for its Chicken samosas and will want to eat them often. I am glad that I have been visiting this place very often and have even recommended it to friends. They have started a warm family restaurant of late which is a good place to go with family.
Their takeaway is quite popular but their restaurant has recently opened. The food offered here is absolutely delightful and is served in very generous portions. The specialty of Friday, the cooked lamb is perfect in every aspect. However, they do not have license to serve drinks. The staff is quick, efficient and very attentive. I highly recommend it to everyone.
The food was excellent, especially the meat curry with the meat cooked to perfection. A nice find, given I was a visitor to London! Generous portions and priced just right!
This is the only place in my neighborhood that sells tasty and edible curry. I highly recommend this place to all the vegetarians as they serve amazing Yam leaf curry and the coconut and chille. Though the place is pretty small, it is nice for a take away and most of the dishes taste amazing.
In my opinion, this is one of the best take away joints for Indian cuisine in this city. The menu keeps changing every day and whatever i have tried from this place has always been delectable. If you are in the vicinity of this area, and you do not have much time surely something packed from this place and i am sure you will not regret it.
Nice place with dome really good food too. The waiter serving us was prompt, attentive and really friendly. The food arrived quickly, and everything was so well presented and tasty at the same time. Some of the other staff wasn't up tot he mark and we had to wait a long time for our tea to be brought, but overall, a good experience.
We spent a really good and relaxed evening at this place with friends enjoying our drinks. This place offers an extensive selection both in their food and drinks menu. Although, we did not order any food but it looked aesthetic and appealing to us. We only ordered few wines which were really good.
I've been to this restaurant a couple of times and at every visit, they have not disappointed me. The staff is lovely and welcoming, and managed to get us a table as soon as we reached. The dishes were extraordinary, and were presented in a lovely way. The service was quite good as well, but the food was top notch.
Upon visiting the restaurant and experiencing its intimate interiors, the place seems to be made either with a lot of love or particularly for love. The interiors are romantic and you feel love sick if you are not here with the perfect person. The food is also delicious. The service is decent too.
I know for sure that i will be visiting this restaurant again for sure and i urge all the readers to do so as well. I had happen to visit the place with two of my co workers and had a wonderful time. The service was very efficient and organised and accommodated us even though we were a little late. The staff was very professional
The food was incredible and out of this world too! Do visit!
By far one of the best Indian cuisine offering place in this city. This place possesses an amazing ambiance and an incredible atmosphere. The ambiance is very cheerful and energetic and also, inviting. The staff is amazing and their service is excellent. The pricing is reasonable and very affordable. the food they offer is amazing and delicious. Recommended.
Having an inclination for tangy food, my taste buds always crave for chutneys . I have had two three regulars where i had been visiting but NOW, this place tops my list and one stop place. The dishes are incredible. Service is a delight. The place has a very inviting atmosphere. Must try!
I visited this place with some of my colleagues last week and had an amazing time. All the dishes we ordered were truly delicious and brilliantly prepared, and as I'm a big curry fan, I had one of the best meals of my life. The service was prompt and quite attentive as well, and the place was pumping with loud music. One dish that I loved having at this place was their Black lentil side dish, which was perfect in taste, presentation and the quantity.
I would love to visit this place again and would suggest all of my friends to visit this place as well.
This is my favourite pick for Indian cuisine. Simple Indian dishes like the butter chicken and lamb curry come with some wonderful new flavours. A definite must visit with family if possible - such good Indian cooking!
I am such a curry fan post my experience here. Though this place is expensive, in the end I think it is definitely worth it. The service is pretty quick and efficientl.
It is an amazing place and I really enjoyed visiting this place with my family. The ambiance is very soothing and calm. The food is also very delicious and is sevred with very good presentation. The staff was also fantastic with the children.
This establishment cooks wonderful fresh home style Indian dishes daily for take away. This is NOT your average take out but carefully prepared food for the table at your home. They have been around a long time with a regular clientèle. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Not inexpensive but you get sizeable portions.
Love Majjo's, have been getting takeaways / eating here for the past 8 years regularly. The dishes aren't too oily, lots of flavour and a great variety of options (meat and veggie), different spice levels to suit everyone. Yes the takeaway is served cold to heat up at home but it's not a huge inconvenience, just makes you a little hungrier in anticipation ;)
This is such a wonderful place, the homemade vegetarian curries are like no others. The bajjis and samosas with lentils are divine. The yam leaf curry is spicy, delicious and worth a try. Love everything about Majjos!
We got Majjos to cater for a birthday party for 20. As always the food was fantastic and everyone commented on it. Very disappointed that there no none left over 😂
Always promised myself I would try this place as it smelled great every time I passed by. The place is clean and we'll presented and the counters were stocked with a variety of currys, Rice's, sides etc.
They prepare all the food in an open kitchen so you can see.
I bought a couple of meat curry dishes some sides. These were put in containers cold for you to heat up at home.
The food was excellent and I was very glad to have tried it at long last...but....it is very expensive and as such I will only visit on rare occasions.
We have had food from the takeaway section of Majjo's many times before and it is always excellent - really tasty, interesting curries, different to your bog standard indian or pakistani takeaway.
Last Saturday we decided to try the actual restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, as we expected, and the service was fantastic as well - really friendly staff. The restaurant itself is clean and pleasant, but perhaps lacks a little bit of atmosphere. We got chatting to the owner and she asked for feedback on the decor as it's something she is trying to improve. Hopefully she will address the lighting and decoration to make it slightly more inviting and atmospheric as the food here is absolutely superb and it could, and should, be a thriving local restaurant. It's slightly off the main drag and unseen from the High Road - but it is well worth seeking out! It would be a real shame if another local, independent restaurant were to go under - especially one that is so good - so please give it a try and you won't be disappointed!
We always order from takeaway and never got disappointed but yesterday we ordered charcoal from the restaurant ; lamb chops, lamb kebabs and paneer tikka.
I must admit it was the best charcoal I ever had & the marination was just perfect. The staff was so helpful and assisted me with the order.
Will Definitely order again and highly recommended.
I think some people miss the point...the food is cold for you to warm up at your leisure!!!
I have been going here since it opened more or less. It's as good as ever.
We only get veg items. Always perfect. The yam is a staple and ... wonderful. Matar paneer just great.
The chap who usually serves customers is a nice friendly chap which always helps.
What's not to like?
Price?...well go and buy cheaper, inferior food if you like. It's not cheap but the quality is high...
Absolutely love Majjo's. Delicious dishes. The flavours are wonderful and very unique. I have been going to this family run restaurant for many years and everytime I go, I always enjoy a good chat with Majjo's. You won't get better curry anywhere else. My favourite dish is slow cooked lamb curry and their naan breads. It melts in your mouth.
The best Indian restaurant I have had the pleasure of visiting. Genuine home cooking at this family owned and run restaurant. Friendly top end service. Bring your own hooch. Their takeaway is almost next door. Even so, for me eating in is by far preferable. A lovely meal out with special friends.
Majjo's delicious, fresh, home-made Indian food is amazing. I'm completely addicted to the paneer tikka and there's a fantastic vegetarian selection, plus the staff are lovely! We're so lucky to have it in our area. Can't recommend it enough.
I've been eating Majjo's for the last 7 years or so, what sets Majjo's apart from other Indian takeaway's is the variety of dishes available which are home recipes, flavours which you may not find anywhere else! The flavours are always fresh and really stimulate your palate. They also opened a sit in restaurant some years ago with the welcome addition of a BBQ style mixed meat platter which is always my favourite, the lamb chops, seekh kebab and chicken tikka are very nice and succulent. I always look forward to their BBQ platter or takeaway especially when the slow cooked Lamb Nihari is available! My favourite Indian takeaway by far, family run, authentic and community oriented!
Never write reviews but thought I needed to about Majjos. I picked up some food for my husband, as we don't live in the area. He said it was the 'Best Indian I've ever had'. The portions weren't large but the amount of good quality meat in the portions as opposed to the usual Indian's -all sauce and veg but little meat, certainly made up for it. The chicken karahi melted in his mouth and the meatballs were unbelievable - he told me! I am a vegetarian and had some excellent dahl and the cheese and peas were to die for! The rice was perfectly cooked too. Would love to try their restaurant next.
