I visited the Princess for a dinner with my colleagues. We had a warm welcome, and were sat on a lovely table in the dining room. They had a great and comprehensive wine list. The food was amazing, I went for the Venison, which was the perfect dish in the run up to winter. Then the chocolate cremuex was the perfect way to end the meal. And to top it off, the service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back for dinner soon.

We had such a wonderful dining experience last night! From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff made us feel at home. The menu had so many mouthwatering dishes with original pairings and seasonal ingredients - it was honestly so hard to choose what to go for. We went for tempura cauliflower, carrot hummus, confit pork belly, citrus cured salmon, leek pressè, beef rillette to end with miso and coffee caramel tart…And I must say, we haven’t been disappointed! Flavours were exquisite, with a top-notch presentation…the chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite. Will definitely come back!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best experience I've had in London in a long while. We had the puy lentils, braised venison, and the pollock in addition to various side dishes. Every dish and every component was full of flavour. Staff members were quick and courteous. The atmosphere is intimate, like you're sitting in a private dining venue. The emphasis is really on the food and guests' comfort, not the bougie accessories and decoration like in so many places around town. I can't recommend the Princess of Shoreditch enough for everyone who's looking for a flavour bomb packed in some classic dishes.

Had lunch here on 50% off food offer and it was a wonderful treat. The choices on the menu were difficult to choose from. For starters we had the sea bream and the carrot hummus which was a generous portion of food and was delicious. Mains was the sirloin beef and the pollock in a crab bisque, this was very flavoursome dish. We were given some bread with our meal but we don't eat carbs so this was taken away but replaced with their seed crackers which were amazing and very moreish! Cocktails & wine were very good. We didn't have desert but they looked lush! My only criticism was that one of the servers was not as attentive as we would have liked which meant we had to keep calling the staff over for more drinks etc but that is the only thing I can criticise. The toilets were quaint and clean and the cutlery was the cutest set of cutlery I have ever seen!

Food was very good. Nice relaxed pub setting. Great weekend lunch option. I thought the food was better than some of the Michelin starred pubs in London.

On Sunday they have a prix fixe menu with 2 or three courses. Starters were a delicious selection of cold seafood. We all opted for the traditional roast beef dinner which came with so many sides and gravy and yorkshire puddings we could barely finish it all. Deserts were unbelievable. It’s a little off the beaten path and we only went based on a recommendation. It’s Michelin rated but I don’t believe it has a star but definitely deserves a few! Go here, you won’t regret it!

My partner and I had a wonderful meal at The Princess of Shoreditch this evening. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. For starters, I had the Dorset crab crumpet, which was perfectly cooked crab on a light and fluffy crumpet. The pickled peaches and lime added a nice touch of acidity and sweetness. My partner had the beef tartare, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The truffle custard and watercress were the perfect accompaniments. For our main course, we both had the Yorkshire lamb rump, which was cooked to perfection. The lamb was so tender that it melted in our mouths. The crushed green herbs, cauliflower, and lamb sauce were all delicious. We also shared the new potatoes with seaweed beurre blanc and the hispi cabbage with bacon, crispy shallots, and black garlic. Both sides were very well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. For dessert, I had the lemon, blueberry, and bay tart, which was tart and refreshing. The lemon sorbet was the perfect way to cleanse the palate. My partner had the 70% dark chocolate cremeux, which was rich and decadent. The hazelnut and raspberry added a nice touch of sweetness. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at The Princess of Shoreditch. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal near Old Street.

Very tasty sea bream starter and roast beef dinner to follow. I was a single walk-in and there were no tables available, but I enjoyed a good meal at the bar, with a friendly bar-keeper and another patron on a quest to try (and rate) every beer on the planet.

Been here a few times for a Sunday Roast and it’s been my favourite in the past. But it seems there’s been a drastic drop in portion sizes with only a few potatoes and a small amount of veg between two people. Which comparing to previous photos is half the amount. Luckily we weren’t too hungry!

Best restaurant roast ever! Three courses, each a taste sensation, thank you. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Hidden neighborhood gem. Food was absolutely delicious. Most of the time it is packed with people enjoying the pub but I came for the food. Reservations for dinner are highly recommended. Cocktails also hit the mark. Wine selection is also larger than a lot of other pubs. Menu changes with the season.

What a discovery. Delicious creative food in a beautiful pub in East London. From the breads to the tartare everything looked and tasted perfect. The service is also wonderful. We will be back.

Excellent tasting menu. For me the desserts, pasta and snacks were the highlights. The main duck lacked a bit of punch but this didn’t detract from our leisurely lunch. Compact but interesting and sensibly priced wine list. Will definitely return to try more seasonal dishes.

Fabulous meal. Yes, the food is great. But the staff are what makes this place extra special. Our server (from the Adelaide Hills, name gone with that last glass of wine..) was amazing as was the lady on the bar. Brilliant wine list and the red wine was decanted and brought to a nice temperature on a very warm evening. Highly recommended.
