For all the supposed affluence of North London, the offering in many of its wine shops can be disappointingly down-market. So I was pleased to discover a Jeroboams in Hampstead. Decent selection of Burgundy here considering it's a relatively small shop. Found some Vosne RomanΓ©e which is something of
Nice store, knowledgeable staff. Amazing wine selection, small but interesting range of craft beers. Wish they sold cigars!
Not quite as large a selection as you might want, with most wines on the more expensive end of the spectrum and definite 'old world' feel. Excellent for a special bottle of fine wine or building a serious cellar, but perhaps not the best for the odd weeknight tipple. Helpful and knowledgeable staf
The staff are very patient and spend a good amount of time trying to help you find something. They have a great selection of wine too which are fairly priced.
Staffed by good eggs all and not a rotten one among 'em.
Pricing is occasionally eccentric but it can work both ways and is generally in line with the area.
Note to other punters: you *really* don't need to ask the staff for advice on a Β£10 wine. It's a Β£10 bottle of juice; it's not like you're buy
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and also kind, courteous whilst still having a sense of humour. Also they have a very decent beer selection beyond the wines.
Really helpful staff with a wide variety of options including alcohol other than wine. Will definitely be returning.
Really excellent selection of wines, reasonably priced too. Not be missed, specially at Christmas time πππ₯π·πΈπ₯
