The food was great, portion size as well as taste. Service could be improved. Since it's the only thai place in Leytonstone, I would certainly recommend it!

Came here for a first time recently with friends who recommended the place. It doesn't look amazing, state of some furniture and cleanliness of the restaurant is not good. Including cobwebs. The food however is a different story. Spring rolls starter was good and green vegetarian curry was simply delicious. I tried the red one from my friend and it was very good too. I was a bit worried in the beginning after seeing how the dining area looks that the kitchen might be a mess, especially that no hygiene rating is displayed, so I checked. It's got 4/5 so it seems no need to worry. I can recommend it for a local Thai place, especially with the BYOB policy. The dining area could be refreshed a bit though.I

After I saw many bad reviews this restaurant got, I decided to leave mine and I rated it with the maximum i could. I have been in there few times already and it never failed my expectations. In fact I got to eat amazing food for an incredible low price. If I wanted to go to a fancy restaurant I would not choose this one. And if you pretend to find it fancy when its not, then don't complain. its your fault not the restaurant fault. This restaurant has is own dignity and it is clean. Got to a michelin star restaurant if you want to be surrounded by luxury furniture. For the down to earth others I suggest seafood and beef, they are delicious. For the highly expectation people with lack of respect for less fortunate restaurants that keep trying to survive and still give amazing results go somewhere else and please do not leave reviews that can destroy a business as consequence of your bad judgment.

Eaten or ordered delivery from here 3 or 4 times now. Food is delicious and the price is fair. The restaurant has a really cool ornate vibe and seems fairly quiet most of the time. I wouldn't let that put you off though, it's one of the best restaurants in Leytonstone and not far off the quality of the excellent Singburi.

Really tasty dishes with deep flavours, highly recommended for people with no experience with Thai cuisine. Whether you like to try new things, or are careful about them, it's a good choice. My group took a coconut curry (number 32), chicken with soy sauce (number 41) and noodles with king prawns (80) - we had different tastes, but could agree that it was worth spending the money. The dished looked smallb but were quite filling, especially the sweet curry. The restaurant was empty when we came, so the waiting time was not too long, but long enough not to suspect reheating. The customer service was very friendly and willing to help.

We had the set menu which was very reasonable at £7.50 per dish and tried the thai green curry and noodles. Both were delicious. The service was great, the waitress was friendly and attentive without being over the top. We'd go back again!

Excellent find, great little place. Class starters, mains were large, no skimping on the meat. Staff were efficient and mannerly. Three starters, three mains, two steamed rice, one egg fried, three red curries, 6 soft drinks and prawn crackers allnin for £60. But don't forget to bring your own bevvies.

I live nearby the restaurant, yes the place is old fashioned, service is slow but the food is great! I aways wondered why they are slow even though it was just me then I realised alot of delivery man kept coming inside the resto hence i understood that they got loads of orders through delivery.. the price is very much affordable and the serving is big. The paid thai, and curries are too good for the price. The crackers are free, in a nearby resto you'll have to pay 3.50£ for it. Definitely one of my choice to eat around the area.

Our favourite Thai place in Leytonstone. Everything is super tasty and they usually include some prawn crackers which is a great touch. I love the Kaeng Kiew Wan with coconut rice on the side.

Petcham Sayam restaurant is really ornate and grand, having not visited Leytonstone in a number of years I ate at this restaurant again and the food was simply amazing just like I remember it being ten years ago (prawn pad Thai, spicy fried rice and chicken massaman curry) however the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is purely due to the temperature of the restaurant which was unfortunately freezing- On a January evening the weather is not the greatest as it is and the lack of heating inside then meant the food turned cold very quickly which was a real let down. If the owners can sort out this element then this will be a perfect little hidden gem!

Express menu is good. I will definitely come for an evening meal. Great location on High Road Leytonstone, just about 5 minutes walk from a tube station. Not sure if there is any parking available
