Quality food 🤤! Inside is quite small so more ideal for a takeaway, nonetheless, way more tasty than ur average Chinese and at affordable prices too, with big portions 😅👅

Cleaness is the best. Really recommend the pickled fried intestines. Chicken soup and hot spicy pot are good options as well. The staffs are nice. It is a good place to have dinner with friends.

Lone ranger lunch. Away from the hustle and bustle of the market. Quiet piece full and super tasty seafood with soft noodles. I always give credit where it is due. Freshly cooked, with lovely fresh ingredients. You cannot go wrong here. I am a chef so my bar is super high and these guys know what they are doing. I will be bringing my work colleagues back soon.what a pleasure. I need a pillow at my desk now

As a devoted lover of gastronomy, I'm constantly on the lookout for authentic culinary experiences that promise a piece of cultural immersion. On my recent escapade around London, I stumbled upon a Sichuanese gem tucked away in the city's bustling streets - the "Dongxing Pavilion." Here's a dive into the flavors that particularly caught my taste buds: Yuxiang Eggplant (鱼香茄子): The name, when translated, suggests a fish-flavored essence, yet there isn’t a hint of fish in the dish. The eggplant was delicately fried to perfection, soaked in a rich sauce that's a perfect amalgamation of sweet, sour, and spicy. The soft and creamy texture of the eggplant combined with the robust sauce was a delightful revelation. Sour Cabbage and Pork Intestine (酸菜肥肠): An intricate blend of textures and flavors, this dish celebrates the tanginess of pickled vegetables paired with the deep, rich taste of pork intestines. The sharpness of the sour cabbage wonderfully balances the bold, meaty flavor, making it an irresistible combination. Pipa Tofu (琵琶豆腐): Elegantly named after the traditional Chinese musical instrument, Pipa, this dish showcases tofu crafted in a similar shape. The tofu was silken, soft, and doused in a savory sauce that complemented its mildness. Rice Wine Dumplings (酒酿圆子): A delightful dessert to round off the meal, these dumplings were soft, slightly sweet, and infused with the subtle aroma of rice wine. Each bite was a gentle explosion of warmth and sweetness. Spicy Hotpot (麻辣香锅): A quintessential Sichuanese experience, this dish was a fiery and aromatic blend of meats, vegetables, and spices. The broth was numbingly spicy and fragrant, true to its roots, ensuring a sensory experience like no other. Conclusion: The "Dongxing Pavilion" is not just a restaurant; it's a journey to the heart of Sichuanese culinary artistry. With each dish, I felt transported to a bustling street in Chengdu, surrounded by the familiar hum of conversation and the tantalizing aroma of spices. If you're in London and yearn for an authentic Sichuanese adventure, you know where to head.

New East House is a culinary gem in the heart of London, bringing the authentic flavors of Sichuan right to our doorstep. Their signature dish, Pipa Tofu, is not only a testament to their innovative approach but also a nod to traditional Chinese culture - it's worth noting that this is the first and only place in London where you can savor this delight! The Sour Cabbage and Pork Intestine is a harmonious blend of tangy and rich flavors, creating a tantalizing experience for the taste buds. The Rice Wine Dumplings are a delightful treat, softly sweet and infused with the gentle aroma of rice wine, making for a perfect dessert. But the crown jewel has to be their Spicy Hotpot. With a generous variety of ingredients, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians, the broth is fragrantly spicy, capturing the essence of Sichuan cuisine. In summary, if you're looking to embark on an authentic Sichuanese gastronomic journey in London, New East House is the place to be! Highly recommended.🌶️🥢🍲

We were there on a weekend afternoon sat by the big window (great weather by the way!), I'll be honest though the food was great in general, the fish oh-mai-god is mindblowingly amazing. Very flavourful, good texture real crispy, I don't think anything can ever top this. Attentive staff, decent selection on the menu, I'll be back next time to try other dishes for sure.

One of the best Chinese local restaurants in East London. Spicy pot is very classic. Chicken and pork belly soup is the best in London!!!

Highly recommended due to the amazing combination of high tech and traditional settings. The food is as fabulous as it always and now the major spotlight which distinguishes it from the other normal chinese restaurants is that it has automated hotpot tables. This enables the family to gather and eat at ease. It is surprisingly so high tech that the automated table can serve all your dishes without your own manual turning around the table. And it has warm function for different parts of the table to maintain the temperature or even cook the dishes as well. It is definitely the first automated Chinese restaurant in city of London. And the surrounding environment is quite decent with easy approaches including northern line and jubilee.

Authentic Chinese food. It’s a less expensive Chinese restaurant compared with others in Chinatown. All staff here are very nice and helpful! Really suitable for people eating together.
