We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Garden Museum Cafe, and I can't stop raving about my experience. The food was not just a meal; it was a culinary adventure. Each dish was a masterpiece, a testament to the chef's passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Every bite was bursting with flavors, leaving my taste buds in awe.
What truly made our visit unforgettable was the staff. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel like a cherished guest. They were not just attentive; they were intuitive, anticipating my needs before I even had to ask.
In a city filled with dining options, Garden Museum Cafe stands out not just for its great food, but for the personal touch they bring to every interaction.
I wish some menu option can be back (artichoke please!!)
Interesting place, food, service great but the prices are high. I tried their roasted courgette and almond cake, both were exceptional, uniquely seasoned tasty. If something bothered me a little bit is one of the waitress tride to convince me too hard to order some more, maybe drink or something. It felt unpleasant.
What an incredible alfresco lunch today at The Garden Museum cafe. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the grilled john dory with new potatoes, watercress, cucumber and elderflower. š I also enjoyed the spiced lemon spritzer. The food was so fresh and beautifully seasoned. My husband had the courgettes, white beans and olives, washed down with a glass of orange wine!
The staff were attentive and friendly.
I could not recommend more a visit to this London gem. š
What a wonderful find! We stumbled across this cafƩ today in search of a bite to eat, and what a tasty ordering there was to have. The choices are not vast, but what is offered is done beautifully and incredibly tasty. This matched with experienced staff makes this an excellent choice. We enjoyed mackerel and squid today. The menu changes daily, to match what's seasonably available.
Amazing place, lovely food, friendly service. This is an oasis in the heart of London that leaves you relaxed and satisfied.
They have a seasonal menu, so I would like to go every season. š I recommend to book before you go.
I didn't expect to find cozy, warm, green cafe in London.
All the dishes I had were so tasty and healthy. and Friendly staffs, big window. I definitely want to go agian!
Delicious, I heard that they had a new Head Chef and went to check it out. From the moment the fresh focaccia arrived at the table I knew it was going to be a proper meal. So often we hear about ācarefully selected seasonal produceā but this was legit. Wild garlic was so subtle and sophisticated, it blew me away. This place is definitely one which is under the radar, Iāll be back!
Stunning and leafy hidden gem in the centre of London.
The cold cucumber soup was the most refreshing starter I have ever had.
Staff were very friendly and professional and made our experience very relaxed and enjoyable.
Cost around Ā£120 including 3 courses for 2 with wine.
Highly recommend āŗļø
A calm oasis in a busy and touristy area. Delightful spaces indoors and outdoors surrounded by green plants in this gem of a restaurant near the Thames and St Thomas' Hospital. The hake was done just right, tender with crispy skin, sitting on a bed of succulent fennel and thinly sliced fried potatoes. The bread was absolutely fresh, with just enough stretch and a good crust. The Easter tart was a fruit cake peppered with tiny cubes of orange peel and wrapped in a layer of marzipan topped by a marzipan ball. The hot water for the tea came hot enough to make two perfect cups of tea. All in all, an excellent dining experience.
We went for lunch twice in our 10 day trip to London. We loved it! Fresh, delicious homemade bread and food! The scenery is beautiful with St. Mary's church and the gardens surrounding the restaurant. Try the soup. It was the best soup I've every had and we are "soup people". So happy we tried this lil gem.
Tea and chocolate brownie. The brownie was nice but a bit too rich. We went on spec but would revisit for lunch or dinner as the food looked great.
Great hidden gem, next to Lambeths Bridge and the Albert embankment footpath. Very nice and quiet garden to drink or eat something. Recommended š
Visit 15/07/2022.
This place is always fantastic, excellent staff, great food. Book in advance and ask for a table in the garden (rather than inside).
Tucked away amidst the bustling streets of vauxhall, The Garden Cafe offers a tranquil escape and a delightful dining experience.
The cafe's name is a perfect fit, as it boasts a charming outdoor garden area that exudes a sense of calm and relaxation. The lush greenery, adorned with vibrant flowers, creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests can unwind and enjoy their meals in the company of nature. For those seeking respite from the city's hustle, The Garden Cafe provides an ideal oasis. The menu is equally impressive, offering an array of dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Pate is very good.
During my visit, the service at The Garden Cafe was warm and attentive, reflecting the staff's genuine passion for hospitality. They were happy to accommodate special requests and provided helpful recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
In conclusion, The Garden Cafe in Lambeth is a hidden culinary haven that invites guests to indulge in delicious food while surrounded by nature's beauty. Whether you're looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch or glass of wine with snacks, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. With its serene ambiance, mouthwatering dishes, and eco-conscious values, The Garden Cafe is a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
Phenominal.
Ambiance, staff, food quality simply superb.
If you love flavour explosions in your mouth, great quality ingredients cooked with expertise to deliver a plate of 'yumminess' then look no where else. The quality, texture, flavour and artistry in the food is exquisite without the normal fussiness and 'la dee da' of other chefs climbing the greasy ladder to fame and fortune. Don't get me wrong, these chefs are talented but they don't need to shout from the roof tops as their food does this for them. As for the menu!? The only issue you will have is what to select as all of it is a dilemma: But a nice one to have. Here, the staff were great in leading their suggestions and they were bang on the money.
A very pretty cafĆ© in a very pretty garden fabulous for nice sunny days and thereās an enclosed glasswalled area for when the weathers not so good. The food was incredibly amazing. I decided to be adventurous and I ordered the heart on toast, Iām an American I donāt think Iāve ever had heart before. It was amazing it was smothered in the kind of garlic butter that you put on escargot, on a piece of really nice whole wheat toast with a very crunchy crust. I was in garlic butter heaven. I followed it up with a Rhubarb eclair, and I drank it with a rhubarb cordial. I have died and gone to Food heaven
Literally the best coffee in London. Fabulous. A little pricey but the food, cakes and coffee are fab. The lunch menu changes daily and is packed with flavour. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere with nice music. One of my faves in London. Cannot recommend it enough.
