A safe bet for good food and people watching. This vibe is just on the comfortably side of cool. The menu isn't fancy, but they get it right. (And the fennel salad with parma ham is, surprisingly, divine.) The service can be a little sporadic and disengaged, though, so don't come if you're in a rush. But if you are in a rush, why are you hanging in Hoxton Square? Order another drink, watch the drunks in the park, and try not to think about how you'll get home.

All in all, a consistently good meal in a chill environment.

Delicious food and great cocktails

Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen or also what we thought it was called, Death by Burrito is a great place to come for a night out with friends. Great cocktails and delicious snacks.
The interior is really cool and well spaced out, they have an excellent outdoor area with picnic tables and heaters and also next door is a larger bar, great for continuing on to after dinner. The staff were really friendly and accommodating for our large group of ten people. They were happy to recommend cocktails and food.

We started with a Torreador cocktail, which is apparently like a margarita but better and was recommended by our waiter. It was delicious although not really anything like a margarita. The cocktail list is really great and inventive with a few classics with a modern twist.

The food is very well priced (6 pound for fish tacos), although this is reflected in the size. I would recommend ordering things to share or two dishes perhaps. The Fish tacos were amazing! Very small soft shell tacos with shredded lettuce and chipotle mayo and fresh fish battered and fried. We also shared some mexi fries which were normal fries drenched in herbs, rather spicy but very good.

Would definitely recommend particularly before a night out.

Very nice place. Quite noisy but very warm. I love the decor, the waiters are lovely and take the time to talk a little with you. Reasonable prices, good burgers and salad chicken cesar incredibly good!

Behind the main room you will find another room that often hosts live music bands, I think the entry is £ 5 and the atmosphere is great!

Went for the Issey Cross and Rose Gray performances. Great place with very friendly and helpful staff. The venue is small enough not to feel overwhelmed but at the same time large enough to have a great vibe. Really enjoyed 👍🙏🙏

The private karaoke room is fabulous! The staff are friendly and really put a lot of care into making the drinks just right. They had a DJ playing all night and it was a very fun atmosphere.

Great fun night, but we didn’t have enough experienced bar staff for the number of people in the venue. I think this is a temporary problem, as many venues in London are finding it hard to get staff. So please do support this otherwise excellent venue.

Excellent bar with wonderful staff. We had £5 cocktails on special offer. Great place for events. We went to see this awesome talk by Stack Magazines. Really loved the atmosphere with great music and in a great location that was easy to get to from the bus.

A dubstep event couldn't feel any more personal, intimate and intense than what I was a part of at the iconic funtcase show, synldn brought in an eye-watering line up of global touring artists for the cost of less than a burger on entrance. One of the best nights of my life. I also have to give a massive mention to the incredible staff, security and space that colours has! Just wow!

I went to hear a couple of female singers there recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were very helpful and approachable. Drinks were good and a variety to choose from. Toilets were clean and tidy. The venue had a lovely relaxed vibe to it with mainly young people. I'm in my 60s and was probably the oldest there but i didnt feel awkward or frowned upon at all!! Well worth a visit - loved it.

I didn’t eat there. We went for a private party at the back and it was lovely. It’s a bit cheeky renting out the space and having to pay for the picture thing. But other than that it was cool. Music was diverse enough for the crowd

Bought very cheap tickets for karaoke and got free cocktail as part of the deal. Staff friendly and even one of the staff members joined in on the fun sometimes at karaoke whilst keeping everyone in check. It was fun night, no regrets.

Super cool Tardeo party. Feel the best vibes in London. Great mix of Latin and Spanish music to enjoy the night. Also, even when it was full, easy to get drinks. Moreover thank you to Guy, the manager. A friend lost our keys and he was super caring to search for them, and arrange the picking. Looking forward for Tardeo!

The venue was amazing. You can sit and have drinks in the bar before the gig then only have to walk 2 secs before reaching the stage. The room for the gig was perfect , plenty of room and was super intimate. I will 100% be going back again for a drink or a gig.

Great location, decent layout but a lot of great events and fun nights. And also maybe the last indie night in Shoreditch..?
