Canteen - London - Photo album

Lovely place, cozy and the staff was very nice. Service was quite fast and breakfast we had was great. On the downside, although breakfast price was quite appropriate for a central BreakfastClub (like one in Soho) other prices on the menu seem quite pricey.
The best eggs benedict I ever ate & the service was perfect, second to none! The restaurant is well placed, near London eye. If you’re in London, you have to try it at least once!
I find myself here a lot, as it's well-located for meeting people for business or pleasure. My experiences have been almost also positive and sometimes very much so. Prices can be a bit dear for what's on offer, but I've found the food is of good quality and sometimes excellent. Only downside is tha
Very pleasant venue, with friendly and prompt service. Pricey but no more than any London restaurant. The salmon salad was excellent and generously portioned. I had the lamb steak which was a little disappointing as a tad chewy and few potatoes but still a tasty dish.
So stylish (esp the interior), excellent, v friendly waiter who knew the produce v well, a little pricey for some things (£18 for smoked haddock with cheap sides and £9 for a large glass of rosé... hence only 4 stars) but this is central London. Food is excellent (as is the wine!). Recommended.
It was a great experience to try Canteen's cuisine. Tasty starters, mains as well as desserts. Very kind and helpful stuff and the location is great in central London. So, friends keep going that way and I will visit you when I am in London next time, I promise. Greetings from Poland!
I like canteen, decent British fare without too much fuss. The southbank is a busy place, but you can normally find a seat in canteen. I like a good chicken pie in some puff pastry, and you can pick one up here. The portions aren't that big, but generally pretty tasty.
Have to say not bad grub at all. I had the roast chicken dinner. The chicken was a little dry but not too bad, but has a range of dishes. The treacle desert.. Amazing :)
Just popped in for a cuppa and to get out of the rain. Staff were super polite, open view into the kitchen where the chef's were hard at work, food looked really good coming out and prices seemed reasonable for where we were. Will be going back
A really nice place for a british grub around South Bank. Welcoming and straightforward menu. I had an excellent dinner with friends - good wine and well-priced food.
Very mellow location during the day so good for casual meetings. Good coffee too. Menu is pretty uninteresting but that's British cuisine for ya.
The food & service was great. But all customers should be aware of the ripe off policy that the add on service charge of 12.5% goes to the Company and NOT at all to the serving staff....a disgrace !!! Very under hand
Excellent choice for vegaterians. Freshly cooked not heated up. Good service and very handy for the Royal Festival Hall. Highly recommended.
