Great pie and mash pukka stuff. The Greenwich one is not the shame people, they nicked the name and is owned by gourmet burger kitchen. Dont get confused totally different. Deptford high street only people. .

I wanted to explore what traditional mash and pie is and means. I think it was authentic, all home made and I was fully satisfied after this lunch. Will definitely be back.

This is the best pie and mash in the U.K. The council will be shutting them down in August. That's the end of an era council should 're think this decision When it's gone its gone forever

My family and friends have been going here for over 30 years or more, been to many and couldn't ask for a better pie and mash, at least they haven't ruined their pies with GRAVY 😱 Mash and liquor just how it's should be, and the puddings...... sooooo good 🤤 Keep up the good cooking, we'll be to you soon enough, Dorset isn't that far to come just for your pie and mash 🙌🏼

Love love love Goddards!!! What a shame Southwark council want to build homes on it and take the lease :( Another historial public place that's been taken from the community :( The up to date Goddards chain in Greenwich etc just ain't the same as the original in Deptford!

You have to grow up with trips to the pie n mash shop to get the sheer nostalgia this shop evokes Amazingly it really hasnt changed at all , even the old heavy cutlery is the same & the pies are just as crusty and delicious as ever .I remember it so well, all the bustle on a saturday market days .,the No-nonsense feeding of hundreds of hungry shoppers and Deptford folk in a no frills honest ,steamy , chatty , happy chaos thats served countles cups of tea and white mugs of cold refreshing squash to the kids . " Liquor or Gravy ?" Always a topic for debate , What wasn`t debateable & still is undoubtable is " Goddards beats Manzes hands down . the loyaty goes deep in the world of deptford pie shops . So happy to see you still going x

I enjoyed the pie and mash and the memories that it brought back; it's a pity they closed down.
