The Best In Stoky. Been living in the area for many years, tried n tested many Indian restaurants and takeaways. Ordered a takeaway from here one day, was fantastic! Food was fresh, smelling amazing and nicely packaged. After this I decided to dine in, was a very pleasant experience. Food and service A+++

Good local. I must say that the food is only just better than okay, but it's my fave curry house. Twice went there late and starving and said we want two thali-type things one meat and one veg. Didn't check the bill. Paid by card. Under £30 quid for two people. No problem bish bash bosh. Very friendly and welcoming. Only once had a prob on a Sat night when appeared short staffed. Favourite local curry house - and there are loads round here.

We went mental on the menu knowing it would come to a laughable total and pretty much everything wowed. Naans had a moreish fluffy crunch while the Sabzee Haleem’s lentils were herby and welcoming, tandoori chicken was succulent and fried onions bursted w

The royal Indian is a mixed Indian restaurant with a lot of options for food. Personally I could decide so went for several starters. The food was nice, but not great. The paneer had a slightly tomato ketchup feel to it. The portions were pretty good sizes. I'd got again but, there are better Indians in London.

P.s be warned their website isn't what you'd expect! Also, some of the reviews on google are wrong, it's not BYOB.

I love this restaurant's food. Always delicious, flavoursome and fresh! I've been in a couple of times and the staff have always been attentive, ensuring you have all you need for your enjoyable meal. I think this stems from the owner, who, from my knowledge, is the chef. Each time I eat from here, I can tell that the person making it has a love for food and fresh ingredients !! I love the food here! From vegetarian to meat dishes .

Ordered a take away via Royal India's own website. The lamb dish was excellent - meat was moist; paratha was lovely and flaky. I haven't been to the restaurant, but for the food, I recommend them.

The interesting menu, (I urge you to try the dish of chickpeas with Asam tea leaves) and wonderful food here make Royal India a joy to visit. The 3 fish dishes I tried were marvelous, both the quality of the fish and its preparation are of the highest quality. The skills in the kitchen, and ambition of the menu display that Royal India is much more than a simple everyday high street Indian restaurant. Plus the calm atmosphere of the eat in experience even in these difficult times makes for a really enjoyable evening, and autumn/winter night. Thank you to all involved in the lovely meal that my husband and I enjoyed last night

Had some really tasty food here. Really good Biryani - rice and herbal spicy vegetables. Also had a very nice side dish with spinach and soft cheese. Food was super quick in like 20-30min after crunching some poppadoms. Waiter very friendly and knows alot about the food, helping out with the meal suggestion. Apparently they are planning on bringing out some new dishes. Good size portions too. We took some home for next day lunchtime snack. I really like the Indian fabric wall decoration it gives a nice feel. Planning to come back with more friends. Definitely one of my new favourite places on Church St.

I have been going there for about 4 years if not more, and I reckon between 8/10 times a year. The food never disappoints, although once ordering a delivery took ages, and I mean ages. Other than that lovely food and nice staff

I have had very regular take aways from Royal India, and the occasional dine-in experience for at least 3 to 4 years now. Whilst I probably should not admit this, I have probably had hundreds of currys from Royal India. Having tried every curryhouse in Stoke Newington this is by far and away my favourite. The food is usually excellent and ordering delivery online is very easy. Food is also incredibly reasonably priced, particularly when you take an advantage of the offer. I would thoroughly recommend Royal India to all.

If want you are after is what England has come to know as "Indian" food, then this is the place to go. Great selection of currys and some more authentic dishes too. Service is always great, and it certainly doesn't cost the earth either!

Best 'local curry style' place. Great offers before 9pm (50% off mains). It's not fancy but it's well made, tasty and a 'proper British style' curry. Perfect for a Sunday night.

Had a mixup over the phone for an order that wasn’t the restaurants fault and they turned up free of charge with the missing dish. Lovely chaps, awesome food.

Good authentic Indian restaurant with a broad menu. The staff were friendly and attentive and happy to give suggestions. The food tasted good, nothing exceptional. Only the service took a bit longer than we would have liked but I think it was because the dishes are cooked fresh, and you can tell. Overall a pleasant experience!
