Good place to have authentic chinese. Place is a bit expensive though while certain dishes might not appeal to all. Service is good with a nice ambience and cosy feel to the place.

Not sure why I am the first to review this place but it is awesome. While the better known places had long waits and higher prices, I walked right in here. Custom dry pot combo was one of the best I’ve ever had.

The environment was a bit crowded. We went on a weekday but it was still quite packed. Nonetheless, the food was pretty delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered the stir fried cabbage, garlic pork belly slices, pork intestine and fish hotpot and chilli lamb. Overall, the food was quite good especially the cabbage. The fish hotpot was slightly too salty but really hit the spot with the amount of chilli and sichuan peppercorn. Will definitely come back when I crave spicy food!

After aimlessly walking around Chinatown several times me and my wife finally chose this place. I got the prawn chow mein and it was ok. Didn’t seem to have much flavor but was still good. Wife got the Szechuan chicken and it was delicious but unfortunately it did not come with any rice. Later discovered that you can order rice as a side for £4.

Old Jinli in London is a hidden gem for authentic Sichuan cuisine. It's the perfect place to satisfy your cravings for grilled fish, hot pot, and spicy stir-fry. Tucked away in an alley across from the lobster burger joint, this restaurant never disappoints. Their dishes capture the true flavors of Sichuan, reminiscent of the delicious tastes from our hometown. The best part? You can enjoy unlimited rice with just one order, a great value compared to other London Chinese restaurants. Must-try dishes include the Fish Fragrant Shredded Pork/Kung Pao Chicken, prepared with authentic Sichuan flavors and reasonably priced. The Spicy Hot Pot offers a variety of vegetables and meats to choose from, such as yellow throat fish, duck blood, tender beef, and luncheon meat. It's not overly spicy, and the portions are generous. During our recent visit, they surprised us with zongzi, a traditional food for the Dragon Boat Festival. There's currently a 12% discount until the 25th, adding to the festive experience. Old Jinli is the place to go for an authentic taste of Sichuan in London. With reasonable prices, unlimited rice, and friendly service, it's a must-visit for a satisfying Chinese dining experience.

No complaints. I have the vegetarian options made with a special egg free request and they served me excellent tasty food for an excellent price. Hot, tasty , hearty portions, good prices, good ingredients, fresh clean taste. Highly recommend it. Special mention to the waiters who really cared about your requests. Perfection

Ordered a grilled fish in chili oil and the dry hotpot for 7 people on a Friday night. The restaurant was almost full but thankfully we got a table. The food was nice! The grilled fish is crispy and more like fried than grilled but it tasted good. We ordered beef, dried tofu skin, mushroom & veggies for the dried hotpot and it was tasty too! Loved it.

After a busy day we decided to try one of China Towns restaurants. Jinli is a very modern Chinese looking restaurant. The menu looked very appetising and you’re welcomed very nicely by the front of house staff. There are plenty of options to order from their mobile ordering system which allows you to also pay on on your phone so no need to ask for the bill at the end. The food was very delicious as expected with each element being flavourful and unique in their own ways. You have the the more common options on the menu which you’d expect to see at Chinese restaurants. However, they have their Jinli Special dishes which are for 2 or more people at different set prices, which I recommend for you to try. My one issue with the menu is that they charge a very steep price for their drinks. Up to £3.20 for juices and £3.50+ for sodas or any other drinks. For me that’s just way too except for a small glass and it doesn’t help that they have an automatic service charge on top of that. In the end the meal price is substantially higher than you except after you choose your drink and get the service charge total. I was not a fan of that at all because you really have to savour every sip of your drink until you finish your meal. In the end I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their good service, tasty food with large portion sizes. I would come again to try more of the menu.

Got the Mala hotpot. Produce used was really good and yummy, with medium spice level hitting the spot just nicely. (disclaimer: I can take spice, so be cautious on what level you choose). Overall, this photo was for 5 people, each spending £22. So slightly more on the pricey side, but still good

the dry pot tasted good.(chose pork belly, sweet potato vermicelli, Chinese leaves and dried tofu skin as toppings) but one of the staffs we dropped the dishes and it was shattered right behind of me, some food splattered on my bag. they offered 20% discount but didn’t really apologize properly.

Authentic Chinese Sichuan cuisine, they make very good dry pot (干锅). Not too spicy that satisfied both an European and a Chinese. People there are super friendly and food served very quick. We ordered grilled fish and dry pot lotus root, with one egg fried rice. Very delicious and quite some quantity for 2 persons. Love it and highly recommended.
