Spent a weekend touring around London: Brick Lane and North London (Golders Green, Edgeware, Hendon) in search of a bagel which approximates a NYC bagel. And I found such a bagel at Hendon Bagel Bakery. I was saddened to taste bagels which were coarse and dry at far too many shops. Honestly, I thought was going to gag on them.

So, having stopped by Hendon Bagel Bakery and tasted a fresh bagel of theirs, there was the requisite crunch, elasticity and moistness.

I stil have to work on explaining the concept of a Cream Cheese "schmear" to them. All in good time :)

I adore this bakery so much! It has an amazing atmosphere and the almond croissant is to die for. The staff is friendly as well! Highly recommend stopping by for a latte and an almond croissant-you won’t regret it!

This is probably the best bakery in Hendon, in Barnet, in London and probably England! They sell various different types of fresh breads, challah, bagels and rolls, all very good but the danish are next level. Soft and crunchy pastry with tasty flavourful fillings. Each better than the next. Unfortunately the prices have shot up astronomically but certainly worth it if you can afford it, even just for special occasions.

I first went there back in the late eighties. Never fails. The bagels are fantastic. Only wished they did the cinnamon ones on a friday. Now my kids have taken the bakery to their heart too. Keep it up guys👏

Best Bagels in London - I am a regular when in the area. Called in last night 5.30pm and collect poppy seed and sesame seed topped bagels - added bonus that they were still warm

Very good challah and bagels! Sometimes it is very crowded, but the staff is always friendly and takes care of you. The „to-go“ selection is amazing as well, 4 different kinds of bagels, hummus, salads, sandwiches etc. And the best part is that sometimes they give u a bagel or two for free at the end of the day if u order a large portion of them ;)! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to get another bagel there.

I don't buy kosher bread products from anywhere else. And in this area, there are many to choose from.

Best bagels and challah in London. Bagels are squishy and fresh challah is tasty moist fresh and lasts really well - but usually gets eaten very quickly. The photo is challah from the sister shop in Temple Fortune Bread. Just as good. I challenge you to find me a better bagel than these.

The fresh Challah is best to buy on a Friday morning. Don't buy it on any other day if you want it for Shabbat. They make better Challah than any other bakery in Hendon, and it's not too expensive, it's only once a week so it's ok. I just hope they keep their prices as they are and don't increase them because kosher food prices are too high already. Moslems don't have these high prices, why should we?

I bought the homemade carrot cake and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious as she promised! It was well worth £6.45 for a slice. Will definitely come back for more 🤤
