🚆 One of the world’s busiest train stations. I’ve been trapped here lots of times with weather, strikes and just UK nonsense BUT station is always clean, it’s got visible, helpful and professional staff. There are concession stands on every platform and it runs well. They’re working towards making every platform accessible and there are always tons of train spotters here 😂
Clapham Junction railway station was really a miracle station for my wife & I on 24 May 2023 when after a long and exhausting Transatlantic flight to London, boarding the British National Railroad train south bound, we've lost one of our backpack with the most expensive staff in it like brand new Apple laptop and all our documents including our passports and much more valuable documents. A young samaritan in the same wagon told us not to be worry about, as the Station workers will find it and return it us back. Miraculously 30 min later, after we've got back to the same platform, one of the employees of that station, handed our backpack back intact, nothing was missing in it. Thank YOU G-d, Thank you UK, Thank you London, Thank you GOOD Londoners!!! We LOVE you and we'll be definitely back soon!
A lovely lady, Antonia, kept the people in the waiting area on platform 10 amused with her chatting and loud speaker comments. e.g. "A four carriage train with eight doors to choose from" A true treasure of the station.
Trainspotter dream station.
With the regeneration, food stalls and more punctuality, Clapham Junction has improved a lot.
New screens are easy to view trains stops and times. The toilets have been moved to upstairs, by platform 16.
New Lifts and sheltered roof onto the platforms. Seemed cleaner than ever.
Shame the free WiFi is only once inside the trains and seating is scarce.
Bonus are the new shops and snacks places leased onto the 'bridge' linking all the platforms.
Lots of lifts, toilets, places for coffee etc. Friendly staff, very clean
I traveled back from Clapham junction on last train this morning 1.15 to Southampton. There were two station attendants on platform 11 and I can only say how kind and wonderful they were. I was on my own but the lady whose name I didn’t see kept me company during my 40min wait while still carrying out her duties. Her colleague was attending to a lady with two small children who needed a lot of assistance and he did more than anyone could have expected.
For my part it was wonderful to meet two such nice people and it cheered up what had been until then a very long journey.
Well done and I do hope the two people know and recognise themselves
Busy as always, generally quite clean, staff are helpful
I was sitting on the floor on platform 6 feeling quite unwell (due to a disability) and the woman on duty checked if I was ok, then re checked if I needed help to get on my train. Excellent service from a lovely lady.
This is exactly how a train station should be run. They managed to fix my issues and refund me in full for previous railway management errors. Truly greatful to Gareth and his team.
Frequented station. Always find my train fast and easy
Great to travel to different places and great service only if no delayed and cancelled
The only thing really annoyed me sometimes in earliest morning 06:00 twice nobody standing in the barrier my ticket doesn't open the gate n nobody their to show it to so I have to use my oyster card to pay and open it.
Many thanks to Clara who was so kind and helpful when I arrived at the station yesterday. Lovely lady !
I am always travelling up and down the uk by the trains to where I am going. The staffs at clapham junction station always ready to help me with my whereabouts in a good manner.
Huge thank you to Richard, Customer Services on platform 13 for tracking my bag. Appreciate your help. 🚆
