It’s amazing how narrow a space you can set up shop if you put your mind to it. Perched on the side of a skyscraper, this coffee shop almost seems like an afterthought. It is so narrow, there is no way to get through to the take out area except through the kitchen. Which really isn’t advisable unless your suit and shirt need a bit of dry cleaning. It would be a hot and steamy experience. Not to mention potentially exciting.
Nice light airy coffee shop in the North East of the city. The shop borders Shoreditch.
I just had an English Breakfast tea and a croissant. The tea is served loose leaf which you add to the pot yourself. The Croissant was nice though would have been better if it was slightly heated.
Will definitely drop in again when I am in the area.
Always pop into this place on the way to work, great coffee that is well measured and crafted at the correct temperature, never too bitter and never needs sugar. Really recommend this place if you crave proper coffee near Liverpool Street. Not too much seating space inside but great for takeouts.

Great coffee and good pastries in the mornings. Nice if it's sunny and you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Quite a small place, and very thin and awkward layout though so not ideal if you want to sit inside. Better to think of this as a takeaway spot for a great cup of coffee in the area.
Its a little hard to locate for first-timers, but a great place to sit and enjoy good coffee. Its like sitting in a long corridor but in a good way and doesn't feel cramped due to all the external glass walls. There's seating outside too but I tend to not use it given all the street noise. Its quite close to Liverpool Street station and Exchange Square, which makes it a great place to meet colleagues.
Department consistently provides one of the best coffees in London. The baristas are professional, the menu offers a wide range of coffee and milk products, suitable for all dietary requirements. The staff is friendly and makes every visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Department. One of my favourite lattes in the world.
One of my favourite coffee places around in the area, the Department offers a both a brew bar area for a quick coffee pick and take away, as well as a sit inside lunch area.
The service is very friendly and quick and the prices pretty reasonable. Clean minimal decor and friendly relaxed atmosphere make it a nice place to meet friends for coffee or have a work meeting.

Fantastically strong flat white in an unusually long, narrow cafe. The floor to ceiling windows let in plenty of light although it means you can never quite get away from the hustle and bustle of London. The coffeehouse is thoughtfully decorated in a minimalist white and wooden features. l was presented nitha generous wedge of carrot cake.The icing was creamy and melt-in-the-mouth soft. The sponge was just right too.
Excellent coffee to drink in or take away. Contrary to other reviewers, I found the service fast and friendly. Has free guest WiFi. Music far too loud, but it's worth it for the coffee.
Best coffee in London as far as I can tell! Beats Taylor Street, or any other special place you have in your mind. Overpriced, but totally worth it, pop in here for a delicious coffee!
Tiny place but very bright. Lots of natural light from the large storefront windows, even on a cloudy day. The baristas were all very friendly and the cafe was delicious.
One of London's best coffee roasters. Nice food as well. But especially the coffee stands out. And their approach to make the planet a better place
Very good coffee, no queue at 8 am which is even better, very minimal interior which possibly suggests they are a new opening, a brew this good may change the queue situation in time.
