Cardamom Building is one of the warehouse apartment buildings (built circa 1891) that flank the cobbles of Shad Thames with the famous bridges connecting it to Butlers Wharf. In recent years the building has benefited from substantial investment (including new lifts, exterior and communal interior area redecoration, and roof repair) so new residents will now enjoy the benefit for a good number of years to come. This truly is a unique opportunity to purchase a ‘one of a kind’ loft apartment, set in one of the most popular warehouse conversion buildings in Shad Thames. The 925 sq/ft space has had an incredible, no expense spared makeover by the current owner which has given it a 5* hotel feel. Perched on the corner of this historic building, the layout gives optimum space and light to the reception room, making it perfect for entertaining. Another unique selling point for this apartment is the fact it is one of only 9 apartments in Cardamom Building that has one of the iconic walkways that once bridged Butlers Wharf and Cardamom building. Now days these walkways are used as private balconies which offer splendid views along Shad Thames. The property comes with a secure underground parking space, plenty of storage and a concierge.

In the 19th century, the area included the largest warehouse complex in London. The last warehouses closed in 1972. I like such post industrial architecture.
