My absolute favourite cafe in all of London! It has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for a relaxing cup of coffee. The coffee and the food are outstanding, and there are plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable! The staff are wonderfully friendly as well. I come here regularly and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Excellent little cafe in Church Street near the delightful Clissold Park. Do a really good range of tea and coffee with some interesting options. Nice meals, pastries and toasties and soup. Also good cakes and sweet options. Quick service and friendly staff. Enjoyed their shepherds pie and salad. The omelettes looked very good. Reasonable prices. Look in next time you visit Church Street. Cafe named for Edgar Allen Poe who lived around the corner.

It’s now called POE cafe but it’s still great: friendly staff, cheap and tasty food. I got the aubergine with a white sauce and a veggie “pizza” for takeaway. I had it for dinner a day later and yummmmm. First the staff were really nice. Second the display of food options, though slim by the time I popped in around 4pm, must be very good. Prices are also decent. The food intake was incredibly tasty: the aubergine was soft and savory and the white sauce (tahini?) sprinkled with herbs atop was divine. The “pizza” was also lovely, soft but also not too chewy. Overall I would gladly stop by here again if I lived in the area.

Nice cafe. Its location at the quiet end of Church Street means you can get a seat late on a Sunday morning. Try the pistachio aragostine, they're so good I haven't tried anything else there yet.

Love this place! The lady who runs it is so friendly and helpful- she was only too happy to make us a couple of bloody Maries even though they weren't on the menu. Good ingredients and well cooked. YUM

A small but smart and quiet cafe that comes with a library of books for sale. I had a soup that was tasty and cheap (although a bigger portion of bread would have been nice). Recommended.

Delicious coffee, nice staff BUT charging an extra 40p for an oat milk is not fair especially when plant milk is widely available now and it isn’t a novelty.
