We came for the bottomless bloody Mary brunch, which was great. There's loads of other offers on different days which are great value. The bar staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Maxine, who even popped to the supermarket to get more Worcestershire sauce for the bloody Marys! Fully recommend
Ended up here two Sundays in a row. Tasty food both times and good selection of beers. The Caribbean options add to the variety. Others have commented that the portions are small. I'd say that they are fine (but not huge) and, for the food we ordered, appropriate for the price. My teenage kids were welcome during the day and enjoyed the free mario kart set up. Thanks all!
And the prize for the silliest pub of the day goes to: wait for it (drum roll)...... The Owl and Hitchhiker on Holloway Road...furious round of applause! What a brilliant pub. One bit looks like it has been recreated from my teenage bedroom with too many loudspeakers, tape decks, amps and everything else. Then go to the pub courtesy of Clive Sinclair, yes that is where I would have put the piano too. A great mezzanine, love it. Pinball, what is going on? Have I landed up in a parallel universe? I love the owl at the back, flying (swooping) down onto the tables. The place is mad, thank you so much. Service was perfect and the beer delicious. There are also a couple of cask ales for the aficionados. Biggest and best surprise of the day so far, love it.
First impressions of this place’
I’d gone to an old favorite Spanish restaurant in Holloway Rd, to find it was clearly closedown (post COVID?). So with a bit of a walk I found this place. A pub who also serves food, and a Caribbean theme to their menu.
We ordered curry goat and a jerk chicken wrap & a side of plantain. Service was timely, and the plates arrived hot and well presented.
The curry goat was well cooked and a bit spicy, with a good thick gravy, plantain was nicely cooked as well as the wrap, lots of crispy salad and nicely seasoned chicken
My only gripe was the wine bottle prices, but hey ho. I’ll know the next time.
Been meaning to post a review since my friends Hannah and Peter got married and had their reception at this fantastic pub on 20th August. Will and his team are amazing to work with and really helped make the day special. Will is very accommodating and laid back and made all of our requests possible. The cocktails served were of a really high standard not something you'd expect in a pub and I drank them all so can highly recommend them. 👌
The venue has character and doesn't take a lot to decorate and make look extra special. Amazing day and amazing venue thanks to Will and the team for all your hard work and patience!
A fun and quirky Laine pub, with a decent drinks range and a small but tasty food menu. They host a few different events, and have free Mario Kart and other arcade games. Good outside seating area too
I hired the private room upstairs for my 30th birthday Karaoke party and it was perfect! The staff were brilliant, the space was spot on and it was an all round success. A big thanks to all the staff!
A lovely bar, good vibes and staff are friendly. I've been on two occasions now and neither times have been overly busy, which is strange, given the decent prices and unique nature of this place. Think this will be my new regular place to visit now. Not sure if it's because it's pride month but it's lovely to see an LGBT flag and decor in a pub in N7, it helped make me feel at home 🤗.
Only thing to be aware of, is it's card only! (can't comment on food as I haven't tried it, yet...)
This is the place to be in N7! Highly recommended, great funky retro venue, lots of different events every day of the week! Arcade games, pool, Mario cart and much more! Staff is amazing, especially the manager Sara deserves 10 stars ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️. Eja!!
A complete change from the past owners, and definitely a positive one.
Menu includes options for meat eaters and quirky dishes dishes involving tofu. The interior decor is odd and quirky; and it's great! definitely never visited a pub with this kind of aesthetic before.
Will unquestionably visit again with friends.
This hidden gem is the refurbished Irish pub that stood in its place for years.
The new owners have transformed this pub into a lovely welcoming modern pub with drinks and great food to match.
On Wednesdays, they have a burger deal and the chicken burgers are incredible. Large and delicious options. I'm told that the Sunday roast is great so will be back.

Sadly there are a couple of mistakes on the menu! If you're coeliac check with staff, some items are marked "GF" but we were told that should say "GF option"

Awesome service from Roman, who went out of his way to take care of us. The place itself has got such a vast array of draught and spirits to choose from, making this our new local, cheers guys for all of your efforts, it clearly shows!
