The Kings Arms has recently undergone refurbishment and has gone from an average sports bar to a more upmarket gastropub. Gone are the pool tables and games machines, replaced by lots more seating with plush couches and comfy stools. There are still screens for sport in the bar area and outside but it definitely doesn't feel like a "football pub" anymore.
There's a small, semi-enclosed oudoor area that may not get flooded with sun but is still lovely in the warmer months.
Along with the interior, the seasonal menu has also had an overhaul. The pizzas and burgers are really good (and huge!) and the chunky chips and sweet potato fries are tasty. However, sandwiches and salads have been a little hit and miss for me. They have a few vegetarian options on the menu but I'd recommend going for a pizza in terms of taste and value for money.
With the menu overhaul comes higher prices so although I won't eat here are frequently as I used to, it will be higher quality, more enjoyable food when I do.
This is a nice pub to watch the football match. It is a 3 minute walk from Putney Bridge station. They have nicer decor than a normal pub and have a variety of home made pizzas. I personally feel the pizza was too oily for my liking.
I liked the environment and vibes of the establishment and will be coming back to try the Sunday roast dinners, hopefully it doesn’t disappoint!
Thank you Garry and Alex for an incredible night out. You went out of your way to ensure we could watch the RWC Final after we had been let down by an establishment very close by. The atmosphere, food and service was exceptional. Thanks from a very happy Andy and friends!
A small group for late lunch and drinks. Joe behind the bar was very helpful and friendly and food was excellent with tasty thin crust pizzas and veggie salad.
Great selection of well kept beers and apparently the only Wadsworth serving pub in London!! Wine was a bit pricey but that's normal for London. A great find 👍
Was there for my first British Sunday roast ever and I loved it!
The place is really big so you can go there with a bigger group of friends too!
I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the music and the bar manager was so welcoming and friendly!
He took the time to come and talk to us and made sure everything was great for us! All the staff was very welcoming and nice as well! Definitely going back!
Just came in for a late drink, on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy. Really friendly pub staff. Very large. Beautiful interior and nice seating. Would definitely go back.
Towards the tail-end of our trip to London, we wanted to find a good spot to catch Wimbledon in a fun setting. After two unsuccessful attempts, we gave Kings Arms a try and it turned into one of our favorite stops on trip. Service was spectacular! Manager Gary and staff member Alex are simply delightful. So much fun and will be recommending to all London travelers.
Lovely pub very friendly and manager was welcoming on Friday night. Had a couple of coffees and beers.
Visited Saturday 10:30pm for a beer and coffee as had great service on Friday. Disappointed to find no coffee being served even though it’s on the menu and doesn’t say there is a cut of point for hot drinks . Not everyone wants to drink
Awesome service, from reserving our table to watch the Arsenal vs Crystal Palace game front & centre of the tv, to accommodating beer selection and serving food.
Good all-round pub that anyone would look for, will come back again!
Very nice atmosphere and lovely interiors 🥰
Perfect subject for one of my watercolours!
Really nice pub. Good to see a Wadsworth pub with 6X on cask. Staff really friendly, plenty of screens showing Sky sports and BT/TNT sport. Menu, although I didn't try looked good as well. Ideal joint to watch the sports with beers or have a cosy quiet evening in the pub. Recommended, will be back.
