So it was a good experience. They have 2 floors and the sitting arrangement is just fine but what I was impressed with was their service. They were so fast like one minute i ordered food and looked down to check my phone and bang there he was with my food all over the table. I mean, it was very fast indeed. The food was altogether good and tasted well , I'll recommend it as worth trying. I love the speed man amazing good going.

This restaurant is almost always packed. They've got a great selection on their menu. Their ho fun Malaysian style noodles is much recommended. Food and service were both consistently good!

I came across a lot of positive reviews for Old Town 97, the year being significant as that was the end of British rule in Hong Kong. We had a late lunch there one Saturday not too long ago. They have a great lunch deal – £4.80 for a dish of rice or noodles with a free bowl of their daily soup. We chose the char siu on fried hor fun which came out looking quite plain but turned out to be some well fried hor fun topped with a generic Asian brown sauce and some quite good sliced char siu. A bit of chili oil (excellent stuff) and it was a great dinner. The accompanying soup (pork bone, carrot and tomato) was a bonus. I wanted to try a dish that I’d only heard about online – ‘ LSE fan ‘ (or ‘LSE rice’, about £9.50); the story goes that the dish was either invented or made famous by an LSE student. On our queries, our waiter informed us that it w

Hmm I won’t go to too much detail about the ambiance of the place as I did not pay any attention to that. The main benefit of this place is the fact that it’s open until 4 in the morning and if you like to eat after going out (who doesn’t?) you want to come here.

If you’re like me and hate kebabs, only appreciating good food, this place is for you. We came in starving after a mediocre night out. We all went for the duck, rice and some noodles (I believe it was the special shanghai noodles). We weren’t expecting much, however the fact that the place was packed (at around 2:30 in the morning) made us believe that it can’t be too bad. The food arrived quickly and it was actually very very good! The waiter shredded the duck in front of us, and everything else came very quickly after that. We were inhaling the food, pointing out that this is the highlight of the night.

Not sure I would go during the day, but for foodies that like a good meal after going out, this is definitely a place to go to!

One of my favourite restaurants in Chinatown.

I have visited Old Town numerous times and each time their food is very consistent, delicious as well as sizeable portions. It has a very good menu with some interesting, different dishes (the Szechuan tripe is excellent) as well as the usual staples, which are all very tasty. The portions are large (perhaps even too large) but great for sharing.

A few people have complained about rude service - I have been here several times and never witnessed it. The service is swift and polite if a little terse but that fits in perfectly with the cafe-type atmosphere; it's not a fine dining restaurant where the waiters fawn over you! This place offers everything you would expect from a good Chinatown restaurant and is a very reliable option.

This place is my personal favourite when it comes to oriental food. Chinatown has loads of restaurants serving the same dishes but somehow I like the taste of the food served here better than the others. The dishes that I regularly order are the Malaysian style fried rice, the Singapore style vermicelli noodles and the chicken fried noodles. This is the first time that I had tried the vermicelli noodles and I quite enjoyed it! The best part about this place is that it's open till late so if you are craving late- night

I ordered one of their secret menu items and I was amazingly impressed. Great portions for the price. Rice was cooked well and was paired with the lovely meat and egg. A very filling meal

This place is the unspoken truth and definitely exceptional. The hours are fair for the environment and nightlife, the staff are professional and courteous. I literally walked to this establishment directly from 3 other Chinese restaurants in the area. 1 of the restaurants were rude, the 2nd other restaurant in progress of being aggressive and hassling a customer who had been waiting at his table for quite some time and became verbal about it...they were also demanding to me before I walked in, threw a menu at me, and a 3rd had some form of racial superiority display going on for some odd reason. After seeing the reviews for the other spots I gravitated to this one on the closing time and the lighthearted reviews. When I walked up, the place was booming with customers and had a queue outside. The queue was short and the staff were very welcoming and the food was good as well. The crispy duck pancakes and the fried rice as well as the honey iced tea and the melon bubble drink were so good that I inhaled the food before remembering to take pictures. This place is worth returning to with family and friends.

The Old Town 97 Chinese restaurant in Chinatown London is definitely a hidden gem. During our recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and delicious food. The rice congee was particularly delightful, and their Cantonese roast ducks rivaled those from renowned restaurants in Chinatown.

Had Iced lemon tea, crispy noodles with roast meats, salt & pepper squid and salt & pepper chicken wings. Wings might of been too salty but the rest was not bad. Not bad price, very fast service and they close at 3:30.

Cane here for a lunch, and do no regret it. The soup noodle portion was really generous, especially for the price. The food was delicious and the staff were very nice. Overall a very good experience and will be coming back

Loved this place. We had the 2-meats roast duck & crispy pork belly with egg fried rice and additional sweet and sour chicken. Simple but so delicious. My plate was left clean and my belly full. Will absolutely return in future. Staff so friendly and lovely too!

Late night meal @Soho I always visit this restaurant after a night out when I’m in London. The foods were absolutely amazing and the service was even better. The staff here know basic vocabulary of Thai which means if you are คนไทย you can order in Thai! Love Hainanese Chicken so much. Highly recommend!!!

Wow! This is one of the best, most authentic and real Chinese restaurants I have found in recent times. I am not fan of Chinese food - UK Chinese food - and this place provides a more authentic flavour and menu which would have my husband and I as regular customers if we lived close enough. A vibrant, very busy yet intimate restaurant where the waiting staff take a great interest in ensuring that you order food you will enjoy, don't over-order and that everything is to your satisfaction. This restaurant deserves 5 stars on all fronts.
