Fantastic food, this place is real gem in the rough! Staff were also really polite and friendly would recommend anyone to eat here, full marks
Great little gem! Perfect for food before a gig at the kentish forum! Delicious food and very friendly staff.
I come across from Kilburn to savour the very fine cuisine at Kami. Well worth the trip.
Super Yummy! Makes a real change from "fastfood" Japanese cuisine.. 5 stars!

Excellent place! Very good service.
I keep forgetting about my local Japanese restaurant – a very small place, just a few tables, but what a treat to be able to get sushi so close by. Kami was previously Satuma, but still despite the change in ownership, having a good Japanese Restaurant as your local is a definitely plus point! I keep forgetting to take pictures on many an occasion that I’ve been there, so this time I have. As my local, I like the fact that they have bento box options and one plate/bowl meal options, these being available at lunch mainly with a smaller selection at dinner. I always go for a tonkatsu don as this is my comfort dish.
A teeny tiny Japanese restaurant at the end of Kentish Town High Street, we both thought we might have found a gem. Disappointing, then, that the food was a little so so. Shared some vegetable tempura to start - the ginger-infused soy sauce it came with was delicious but I'd have preferred more amounts of fewer types of vegetables rather than the smorgasbord of single vegetables we had. Plenty of variety, but inconsistent vis a vis quality - I loved the one piece of tempura sweet potato I had, same for aubergine, but the parsnip and green pepper was a little off. For main I had a chicken ramen - not very adventurous, I know, so maybe I have myself to blame. It was tasty, but nothing to write home about (though, evidently, something to write to Zomato about). Overall, an okay meal - nothing overly memorable, either in a good or bad way.
I've had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Kami Restaurant several times, and their set menu is simply amazing. The consistent quality and variety in their offerings make it a fantastic dining choice.
I think Kami deserves more than 4.4 stars, we've eaten a lot of sushi and this place, for the price and in London is great.
Lovely food and hospitality. I’m definitely going to come back to this gem in Kentish Town.
I don't give 5 stars for all Food, Service and Ambient but this place deserved it all. Great good, great service and the place is lovely as well. An authentic place as well, the waiters and all the chefs were Japanese
In short, they know their sushi for sure. However, sitting in the bar your experience might be impacted by their takeaway business.
I'm super happy that there is a bit more fine dining alternative in Kentish Town. Super relaxing music, I like the style of the place, and service is without much complaints.
You will get large pieces of sashimi, and everything taste really good. Is it the best sushi I had? No, but then I compare to places charging significantly more.
The main thing pulling this down from 5 stars to 4 is the not so cosy vibe from the crew preparing paper bags with delivery orders. They do a good job trying to keep it down, but it still remove the very chill vibe the place otherwise has. A simple fix would be to keep everything behind the bar, and not on the bar, but the best way this would happen in the kitchen. However I understand space is limited, and that a lot of people order online.
Definitely worth a visit, and I'll come bad. I had a 300ml bottle of Sake, 6 sashimi, 6 nigiri, and 6 maki plus edamame and ended at £91.
Went for dinner here very chuffed to find another sushi restaurant close to home. Everything we ordered was very tasty and fresh the staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely be coming back for more.
The restaurant is very small, but has enough places to fit a small friendly party. I loved the hand rolled sushi and also the pork katsu, the curry though had not enough flavor for my taste, but the rest was impeccable. The price was very hyped though specially for the assorted sushi.
Fantastic take away- highly recommend! The quality of the fish was divine and the rice was delicious. Will definitely be ordering again !
Tiny place with limited seating but the food and service are excellent. The sushi and gyozas were particularly amazing. Tip > the Spider roll is a must have. Don't think I've had a sushi such as this one in a long time. It was a flavour bomb.
Wonderful place. Good vibe in a very charming restaurant. A great menu with a lot of choice. I will go back there soon!
