There's a relaxing ambience in this cafe that can be best described as homely. Originally a tea trading house in older times, the serving in this restaurant is well-made, presented nicely, and isn't too superficial about what it does well – breakfast fry-ups and sandwiches. The club sandwich came with ripe avocado slices, cubed chicken and bacon rations, and the chips were crisp and hot. There's something about fries made when ordered.
I've lived above this café for a year and a half and finally went in on Sunday. It was absolutely wonderful. It's a really relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced and very friendly. It's not even like being in London. The food was excellent and you get a nice portion size. I left feeling just the right amount of full up.
A great selection of home cooking on the menu, from snacks to full meals and some lovely desserts. Also good for a cuppa tea or coffee and they have a licence so there's beer and wine. Very relaxing and friendly. One of Golders Green's oldest cafes.
Best eaterie in area. I come here all the time for all day breakfast, Californian style. Food is always a very high standard, fantastic menu, 30,s retro style.
Great breakfast menu and very relaxed spot!!
