Fantastic evening of the most amazing food in a lovely cosy atmosphere. A very good worthy cause!
Wonderful food, such a good evening and such a worthy cause . Thanks so much
Delicious food prepared by the loveliest chef!
Amazing food! Amazing staff (especially Fabio)! The best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in London. I loved that the food was halal. The dessert was mouthwatering along with the Syrian coffee! Will be coming again for sure!
Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff could not have done more for us, including getting a stain out of a sleeve when we had put it into the starter.
Excellent plates for sharing and lots of taste to savour.
We had four starters and one main between the two of us and it was plenty.
The restaurant is in the heart of Carnaby Street so very close to shopping and shows in the west end.
I would highly recommend a visit.
Very nice place in Kingly Court with vibrant atmosphere, lots of sharing dishes mostly vegetarian and 2 or 3 meat dishes. It's nice for a quick bite on the go. Good quality and good service.
Decent spot - the food was good but nothing wow (def recommend the hummus and the eggplant with feta). We had an unfortunate service experience where it took us 15 mins to get our table (despite having made a booking) and our food took a while to come (and was a bit disjointed in terms of courses) - I’m sure this isn’t the norm but yeah, bit unlucky. Really nice location (kingly court), cute decor and vibrant atmosphere.
It is a comfortable place, the service staff introduced it very well, the environment is very comfortable, and the food is very amazing. I have never eaten such delicious Falafel. It is the first time I eat Syrian cuisine again. I feel the wonderful food flavor and feel very happy. Thank you!
Delicious food as always! This is the third time I have been to Imad’s, and it never disappoints.
As a big group, we got most of the meze and mains to share. Highlights were the lamb skewers, chicken and bulgur, hummus, falafel, cauliflower and pistachio ice cream with candyfloss. Service was very attentive, dishes came quickly and the new restaurant location makes for a great dining experience.
An exquisite representation of Middle-Eastern cuisine. The fried aubergine boasted a delightful crispiness that was truly enjoyable. The falafel was an unexpected delight, generously adorned with sesame seeds. The lamb shaqaf stole the show with its perfect preparation - a tender, pink interior. Complementing this was a side of mashed sweet potatoes, wonderfully infused with spices. A noteworthy departure from the commonplace gelato served elsewhere, their ice cream is an absolute must-try, brimming with distinct flavors.
I'd like to highlight the impressive swiftness of the service as well. Remarkably, our three-course meal was elegantly savored within a mere 70 minutes. My wholehearted endorsement goes to this culinary gem!
Centrally located , great menu, a lovely staff. Enjoyed a pleasant Sunday afternoon lunch here with friends. Recommend the baked cauliflower main, flavourful and a huge portion provided (see photo) . Quality service all around
Liked; didn’t love. They’ve got a good spot on the top floor of Kingly Court with a big dining area. Food is nice but overpriced.
Menu has all the classics & some more unique choices. Highlights: hummus, garlic pitta & the aubergine with goat’s cheese meze dish. Falafel & the tahini lamb both disappointing.
Bill for 2 with 2 drinks each: £100
Very delicious and affordable food. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant was busy and we were lucky to get a table without advance booking.
Good food and ambience!
Food was good, we ordered 3 mezes and pitas for starters. The baba ganoush and lab alkousa were good but the mtum bitinjan was our favourite! It had a creamy base with warm aubergine on top with barberries. Overall the dish was well balanced and the mixture of temperatures and textures worked well.
For mains, we ordered the shish taouk which was great. The chicken was cooked well on the grill and the harissa mayo complimented the dish.
The service was good and the first 2 mezes came out in minutes although there was some time before the last meze and the mains.
Overall the decor of the restaurant was really nice although it’s reasonably compact which meant it was quite loud.
Excellent food! Beautiful presentation. Friendly staff. Imad himself is very nice. He offered to read my coffee cup! :)
I would advice to add an extra rise side plate to use with Kebab Hindi. It’s a good option and an easy extra £.
I wish their location was on the first floor so more people can see it, walk in, and enjoy the special food.
Imad's Syrian Kitchen is an absolute gem when it comes to experiencing authentic Syrian cuisine. From the moment you step foot into the restaurant, you're greeted with a warm and inviting smile that sets the perfect stage for a delightful dining experience.
The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is prepared with care and bursts with authentic flavors and spices. Whether you're a fan of savory meats, hearty stews, or vegetarian delights, there is something to satisfy every palate.
Despite the exceptional quality of the cuisine, Imad's Syrian Kitchen manages to keep their prices reasonable. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that offers such a high level of quality without breaking the bank. You can indulge in a wide variety of dishes without worrying about burning a hole in your wallet.
Another impressive aspect is the quick service. The staff is efficient and ensures that your food arrives promptly, allowing you to enjoy your meal without unnecessary delays. This is especially appreciated during busy times when you're craving a satisfying meal without the long wait.
The friendly personnel, reasonable prices, and quick service further elevate the overall experience. Prepare yourself for a tasty adventure that will leave you wanting to come back for more.
The staff was all very kind and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was truly delicious! We had one pitta each and 4 small plates to share which was more than enough. £30/each, with a glass of wine. Lovely atmosphere, just a little bit noisy. Recommend!
It's the second time I've been to this place, the food is delicious. It's not the cheapest restaurant, but it's really worth it. The quality and flavours are incredible. We shared everything, falafel, hummus & baba ganoush with pita bread, the goat cheese salad with heirloom tomatoes, and the roasted cauliflower (main). We polished the plates. The staff was really friendly and attentive as well. Overall a 5* experience. We went for an early dinner before the theatre, so it wasn't very busy yet. The food came very quickly.
Make sure to mention you'd like to have your main at the same time as the starters if you want a tapas style meal. We had the cauliflower arrive at the end cause we neglected to mention it, and it would have been nice to mix it with the other dishes.
Wooooww!! Everything is perfect here. I pretty much recommend Babaganoush, falafel and baklava.
Also, Hummus is excellent.
I tried Garlic Pita, but it is so ordinary I don't recommend it.
A genuine food-first restaurant.
Having recently become more interested in Middle Eastern cuisine we were keen to visit, especially as the restaurant is recommended in the Michelin guide, and we've had numerous experiences of paying for meals in London, with mixed results.
The menu initially seems slightly narrow, with just a dozen meze and mains to choose from, but this focus results in high-quality dishes that expertly compliment one another, while remaining really well-priced.
The falafel and hummus were a good pairing, with the hummus having a velvety texture, while the falafel were crisp on the outside and fluffy within. Flavours are delicate, and tend to captivate.
Cauliflower is a recent discovery for us, we've enjoyed spiced versions in various places. This was the best we've had, with a generous full head, served up with pomegranate, some delicate, warm spices, and beautiful peppers beneath that were immediately moreish.
The lamb kebab and sweet potato were amazing. The kebabs themselves were cooked to perfection - no trace of gristle, perfect texture and some subtle but thought provoking flavour from the grill. The sweet potato had been expertly creamed to silky richness that offset the kebab's bite.
Drinks include a wine list that'll probably please experienced wine drinkers, alongside beers and cocktails, you could have a lot of fun here. The staff are adamantly not pushy or intrusive, but still a cut above when it comes to attentiveness.
The restaurant itself is bright, airy and comfortable. The decor initially seems plain, but as you look around you notice the hints of traditional design that accompany the food, and seem to be in balance with its delicate but interesting flavours. This to me is one of the hallmarks of a good restaurant. Bad restaurants are clichéd theme parks, where the environment needs to fool you into thinking the meal is better than it is. Not here.
Imad's is the real deal, go there. We'll certainly return to explore the rest of the menu.
I've wanted to go here for some time as I have seen Imad on TV and love his backstory. I've had similar cuisine in Jordan so was hoping for a similar food vibe - it delivered in abundance!!
Lamb shoulder was superb, the meat did all the talking with just the right amount of flavour from the rice
The falafels were just superb. I could have had 30 and gone back for more! Worked perfectly alongside the breaded aubergine.
Lamb Hindi was also a flavour sensation! Lamb koftas cooked perfectly with perfect sauce.
All of the above was complimented with brilliant service. The cuisine is different and delicious. Take a break from the norm and you won't regret it - I'll definitely pay another visit.
Restaurant is currently in a temporary location with a limited menu but the food is delicious and the atmosphere buzzing. Not sure if the staff are suffering from cabin fever in the smaller space but two of them are arguing and sniping at each other in front of customers and it's extremely unpleasant. All staff are aware of it but it seems management are choosing to do nothing about it. Shame because otherwise would have been a 10/10 experience.
