Even around lunch time this place is one of my favourites in the area. Quick service with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good, very reasonably priced food, good menu options, clean and light.
Chicken noodle soup my absolute favourite. The only minus is a floor- fit stools.. uncomfortable. On the other hand - under the table hooks a very nice and thoughtful idea.

Nice, fresh, yummy food...just a little bit pricey. Good location - a few minutes walk from Farringdon station. Service quite good too

Hard to comment on the food & price as it is a chain. But the layout of this branch is really enjoyable. One doesn't feel trapped as in other branches. Very spacious. I really like the two entrances. Staff is usually kind. I usually take my kids there and it's always a good experience.
Would recommend especially early evening as it's always quiet and yet not sad.

Very good food and staff who clearly know something about customer service. Lots of seating available so it takes a while to get full. A great place to come to for vegan snacks. Also some great vegan meals. Their vegan sushi is amazing.

Large airy spot, great for lunch with friends or for getting away from the office. Nothing too original here but the staff are friendly and the sushi is fresh. There are more authentic Japanese options just down the road but if you want a place to sit then this has the advantage.
Love the cook book and sneaky sale is great value for when you're working late.

Itsu always has tasty food, my favourite is the lunch-only Duck pot. This particularly Itsu is as efficient as all the others, lots of tills means despite it being very busy I've never had to wait too long to pay/order.
It's a busy lunch spot, but there's usually a seat or two available but you'll never get much personal space at peak lunch time.

Friendly staff and great sushi! Loving the half price sale

My definition of great customer service was updated today. The shop was very busy, still the girl who assisted me was extraordinarily friendly. I was having such a bad day but after so much kindness my mood changed. I guess shes the manager because she was wearing regular clothes, so maybe that's why.

As always, I love itsu, the hot food is really good but they have something for everyone...and also with reasonable prices

I am working nearby, so Itsu is the best, reasonably cheap solution for me. I must say that l have received there the best customer service in my life! People there are always smiley, happy, ready to help you, very knowledgeable, but what is the most important....they are authentic....you won't see forced smile or robotic moves, but real passion for japanese cuisine, which is very sophisticated in its simplicity....it is a first time in my life when l really understood what does it mean to treat customer like a king or a queen...Please carry on guys in giving your best!!!!

Although a little pricey the staff are friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and looks fresh and appetising. Plenty of stools and high table seating. Also does take away.

Great sushi, very chill atmosphere. I usually go for the kbbq rice they have which is amazing I wish they had more offers up earlier but other than that great sushi place

Fast service and decent portion size. Interesting that there isn't a different price for eat in vs takeaway unlike certain other food places!

I love itsu. Better sushi than wasabi and yo.
I love the poke! Would be good if they had some veg and fish hot food though.

Itsu’s sure grown on me these past few months. The half price pre-closing sales are fantastic for saving a dollar (I mean, pound) and the food is fresh, health(ier) and fuss-free. This evening I picked up the bento of the month which was the sesame chicken tenderstem. It’s usually around the £5 mark. And it’s one of the more loaded boxes – including a few sushi rolls, salad, edamame and broccolini. And the sesame dressing is a low calorie one and a super tasty one. But my issue with Itsu is there is never enough of it. It’s a huge departure from proper Japanese but for a fast, vegetable-loaded meal, I’m plenty happy.

Arrived late afternoon on a Saturday and all the sushi was half price, so that was a pleasant surprise. When did itsu stop doing the duck sushi? Ordered a fair amount and although it wasn't fresh, it was half price so I happily shoved it down. The vegetable gyozas are terrible though, avoid.

Perfect healthy lunch on the run!

I am still naturally wary of franchises and automatically think they will be tasteless and over priced. I will soon have to change my stubborn opinion if I keep having tasty, great value lunches such as these!

Naturally being in the middle of a busy business area the place was packed but it was brightly lit and looked fresh and inviting. You barely have enough time to decide what you want to order by the time you’re at the counter due to the large amount of staff they have working. I didn’t get enough time to browse the delightful array of sushi and fresh salad and headed straight in to order some hot food.

Itsu serves a variety of take away hot and cold lunches. The rice pots and the soups are ideal for the winter months. I ordered the Thai chicken potsu, which was delicious and still piping hot by the time I got back to the office. Shredded chicken breast served with beans and greens on top of brown and wild rice with the perfect hint of spice and ginger sauce. I ordered a medium sized which cost 5 pound and was the perfect amount for lunch.

Like a kid in a supermarket I can never resist the treats that call out to me as I wait to place my order. Chocolate covered corn thins… never heard of them so of course I should try them. They were a little strange but really good, a healthy version of a digestive biscuit I guess.

Another example of how franchises aren’t all bad, cant wait to try the soups!
Gourmandghast
Itsu orders (implores, begs, recommends, advises) Gourmandghast to "eat beautiful" and today he decides to try and do so. The new chicken noodle soup with the tangy tuna on a bed come in just above Gourmandghast's lunchtime calorie allowance. The soup is very good; the bed in which the tuna lies possibly a little dry and the tuna possibly a little grainy Gourmandghast sits on one of the long tables that can make for interesting cross-pollination but as he is made of cellophane has no need to exercise his social muscles. The service is very friendly (thank you Elena for the loyalty card) and half a point is added for that. A half point is deducted for the cost (£7.08) and another half for using the word "pimp" with regard to salad (well for using it in relation to anything).

Itsu has an array of noodle soups, rice bowls, and sushi platters. It can get quite packed during lunch time but is definitely a go to place if you work in the area. The service is efficient even though they're usually busy. I usually like going for a steaming bowl of tofu, brown rice and steamed green vegetables since I love my veggies but it's all up to personal preferences. Luckily they have enough choices for veggie lovers and for meat/chicken lovers.

Let's get one thing out of the way first, Itsu is expensive. It may be a fancy place with nice seating, but paying up to £10 for sushi served in a box is just ridiculous. I find myself always ordering the smaller boxes of sushi because i cannot justify spending such huge amounts of money on sashimi in my lunch hour. One down side is that there are never offers, and this is simply because they don't need to- it is so popular!

Good packaging. Good branding. But ok to poor sushi. I guess for the price you can't expect gourmet, but you can get better sushi for that price - Eat Tokyo is the place to go. Agreed its a restaurant and not as accessible, but I still can't fully endorse Itsu as the product is ok. If there was truly a good take away Sushi joint let me know. And don't say Feng Sushi!

It's a good Itsu, sort of does what you'd expect! The sushi is really good, and healthy, too. It's a touch pricey for what is it and there is a local Japanese restaurant called Mugen which does the same thing but much, much better. Good edamame though! The soups are also nice.
