A cozy hidden pub with a nice space and atmosphere. The service was polite, kind and helpful. Negroni tasted great for a reasonable price. However, the chicken schnitzel was good, the rocket salad was very oversalted. I couldn't finish it. If you want to grab a drink, it's worth going.

Love this cosy dog friendly pub, has a fantastic range of beers, wines and cocktails, lovely food options and honestly, it feels like a home away from home. Everyone who works there is always so lovely and welcoming. It has lovely regulars (and their dogs) and hosts great socials. Definitely highly recommended! UPDATE a year on (17th July 2023): Yesterday I discovered they now also do the, honest to god, best Vegan Sunday Roast I've ever had (see pictures attached). It was epic! So so so good! Staff even said to me that the vegan roast was their favourite roast even though they eat meat! The Wellington filling looked like meat, felt like meat and tasted like meat but was actually made from beetroot (though didn't taste like beetroot which is impressive in itself), nuts and a bunch of other stuff. Honestly I'm salivating at the thought of it now 🤤 absolutely delicious!

Delicious Sunday roast! The service was great and the pub was surprisingly empty for being a Sunday. Good option close go upper street and not as crowded as most of the restaurants/pubs in the area.

Absolutely lovely, quiet, queer-friendly pub. We reserved a table for a Sunday afternoon to play board games and had food and drinks throughout the day. We had 2 kids (11 and 16) with us and they were made to feel welcome too. The Sunday roasts were amazing (according to those of us who were lucky enough to nab one) and the chips with aïoli I had were some of the best chips I've eaten. The service was delightful and very accommodating. Charlie and Jess made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I'd definitely come back - for the atmosphere, the food and the friendly and safe environment. Grateful for no TV blaring, and really great "alt-oldies" music playing - not too loud. Oh and they have some good stuff to drink too! 😜

I was visiting for social reasons but I work as a journalist covering a lot of hospitality and I was genuinely super impressed two very busy bees behind the bar who not only knew their stuff but really knew how to run a pub bar. They were kind, helpful and had their own style which I love. I sat at the bar for a while, which is my happy place as its a perfect spot to let the world go by. Very impressed and loom forward to returning.

Been here twice now, a lovely hidden pub despite it being on a long stretch of road. Staff on both occasions have been lovely and are happy to have a laugh. Prices are reasonable. Although I didn't order food on either occasion, I have to say it looked delicious when a couple of plates came past!! It's always nice to have a decent dog-friendly pub.

Great little pub. Much better inside than the exterior suggests. Good range of beers and the staff were super friendly and offered samples of the craft beer available. I’ll definitely pop back in soon

Meow, meow meow meow meowwww! Great spot for cool cats, plenty of space to swing a cat (though am personally highly against that barbaric practice). Bar staff friendly, range of beers, good vibe - but too many dogs. 4.5/5 paws as a result. 🐈

The only pub I would feel happy having a drink on my own. Warm, inclusive and welcoming. A great local.
