Very trendy. Friendly staff. Clean with modern ambience. You forget that you are in a cafe. Try the chocolate latte. Very creamy it’s like a meal. Small cup is ample….. for me. 😺 will come back and try the pastries.
I’ve wanted to try Arabica (%), the Japanese brand, for a long time and made the journey to Covent Garden specifically.
You’re greeted with a very modular / concept looking shop which is attractive, clean and typically Japanese (no surprises there!)
There is a small queuing system where they allow you to browse some of their (overpriced) merchandise whilst you wait. The staff were incredibly friendly and you have a smallish menu to view and make your order. Friends have recommended the matcha drinks however I am more of a coffee person so went with a Latte. It was a little pricey for a normal latte at ~£4.25 (even vs independent 3rd wave coffee shops). Once ordered you get a nice little receipt with your order number so you can be called later.
The coffee did take quite a long time to come (perhaps the queue) although seemed long considering they have 4/5 staff.
Coffee finally arrived and was worth the wait, great flavours and milk texture was perfect.
Couple of things they should look to do is change the queuing system because from the outside the queue can look incredibly long but really it’s just people waiting and there is no queue to order as the queue starts at the back of the shop.
They also only seem to put 10 or so items down at a time (e.g. lids / napkins / straws etc) so once they run out you have to ask and they then add more which seems a bit tiring for the workers but I guess it is all part of the minimalist / concept effect.
Definitely recommend the coffee and look forward to trying some of the other types of coffee on the menu next time!
Nice coffee. Long queue. It took 30 mins to get coffee. Long queues was not a good part , however Really nice coffee. We ordered dark mocha, latte and Kyoto cappuccino. I would recommend to order Kyoto cappuccino. Staff is friendly. I like the white ambiance of shop. Really thoughtful.
Great coffee! Tried the Spanish Latte both hot and iced and it was brilliant. Usually, iced coffees are watered down and lack flavour, but this was spot on. Service was quick and responsive and the interior speaks for itself.
This was the first time, I gave it a try for Arabica Coffee. I ordered for KYOTO LATTE which was amazing and far better than I expected. This coffee is really refreshing and hot.
It is definitely worth giving a try.
As it was a weekend, I had to queue for 10 min. Service is super fast.
Please note, they have only take away option.
June 2023,
A nice place, minimalistic but with a nice atmosphere. Order at the till (walk till the end) and see your order on a screen, nice way of emailing, app or print your bill. Good coffee, also latte's have a nice coffee taste (like it should). Nice detail, they show the boiler in the coffee machine.
I would consider myself a coffee connoisseur. I just started a new job 2 weeks ago and have tried several high rated coffee shops around area. This is by far the best. The beans were beautiful - notes of chocolate and milk trxtured perfectly, not one bubble. Staff lovley and decour.
First time i tried the coffee here is and i would greatly recommend! ☕ I ordered iced Dark Coffee and Matcha Latte and it was superb and rich in flavour. The ambience is minimalist and beautiful. The staff are lively and nice as well.
Genuinely one of the best coffees I've had in my life. Lovely little place that unfortunately has no seating area.
Many coffee options, went for a flat white and asked the guy for a tulip. Was my disappointed!
If you're visually impaired you will significantly struggle to read the menu that is fixed to the counter and uses N.8 font on an A5 piece of brown paper. Other than that the coffee is fantastic. Fast and friendly service. Lively atmosphere.
