I can’t recommend the Boston Burger enough!
Lovely staff, great selection of beers. Very helpful to organise a booking.
Great pub I've been coming here for years, I do miss the parrot wings though
Buffalo sausages were amazing!
Watching a movie in the pub was also a classic moment!

The perfect spot for an hangover sunday! Go for the burguer a d you won't regret it! and of course you don't need to be hangover to enjoy the food and the nice service they have!
Good for some drinks as well
Great Night!. Ate at The Plough on 21st February with a few family members. Lovely evening, lovely staff as they were helpful and smiley; always asked to top up our drinks.
We ordered their special parrot wings to start, with celery sticks and a gorgeous blue cheese sauce with two shots of Sailor Jerry's rum. Also, off their Small Plate options, Salt Beef sliders which are like two mini burgers.
For mains, we ordered 3 Big Easy Burgers definitely in my top 3 of best burgers ever. (The first is also at The Plough called the Boston Burger with Peanut Butter!!)
Dessert, we shared a lemon meringue pie and a Reese's Cupcake Cake (peanut butter mousse layered chocolate cake with custard).
Overall, a 5/5 night at The Plough. I recommend it to all of my friends and fellow users of UrbanSpoon.
Well now, the 'famous' Boston Burger is the absolute nuts! The beef burger itself is cooked in bacon dripping and is topped with beer soaked onions, cheese, bacon, pickle, mustard and the pièce de résistance, peanut butter. This may sound a little strange but it's similar to a satay sauce and it really works brilliantly and tastes great. I upgraded the standard skinny fries to truffle chips for an extra pound which elevated the entire meal to exquisite.
Is it worth £14.75? Its certainly debatable as it is pricey but I was immensely satisfied after the meal so I'd say yes!
Service is the wrong side of laid back unfortunately and there were several times during the course of the meal when the waitress was nowhere to be seen. Although she seemed to be by herself there weren't that many people eating so I'd expect just a bit more attentiveness. However all the staff seemed to be pretty chilled.
The Plough itself is a great, open plan venue with an eclectic mix of modern day furniture and a cool vibe. If you like your beer there are lots of options including craft beers, ales and exclusive foreign bottles.
Despite the service issues overall this is a winner :)
This was the very beginning of our month long trip! As we arrived at Clapham Junction, it was about 12:30 and we were starving!
We entered the restaurant, and the young man behind the bar nodded. I guess that means, help ourselves! No one came to the table, so my husband went up to grab some menus - This must be an English thing–no table service.
We waved him over to take our order. I had the Green Shakshuka (Eggs baked in courgette, spinach, leeks, onion, garlic) which came with a large piece of sourdough. Husband ordered Smashed Avocado on lightly toasted sourdough, with two poached eggs on top.
We also order two beers on draft, but I can't remember which ones we got.
Food wasn't bad! Shakshuka came out piping hot, which was lovely, and the Avo toast had FRESH avocado on top. While my egg was cooked a little more towards the done side, the sauce from the courgette and veggies was still great to scoop up with the bread–So I was happy.
All in all, was a great stop, staff was pleasant, windows perfect for people watching, and seats were comfy.
The Plough at Clapham Junction is a great place, modern, open and just lovely. It is quite different to other pubs close by but exudes a welcoming vibe that insists you stay for a beer or perhaps something to eat. Lovely service from great staff. The place made me feel happy.
Can't say enough good things about our experience at The Plough but here's a few... All the staff made us feel so welcome for our football team social and couldn't do enough for us. Great selection of interesting beers, quick service and very attentive, always checking back to see if we needed anything.
And the food itself was incredible. Probably the best burger of my life. Thick, juicy and with epic caramelisation. The roast beef looked fab too. The chips were perfect too.
Overall so happy we chose you guys and thanks for making it such a fab experience- front of house and kitchen. Cheers! X
We were visiting from Texas in early April 2023 and staying in the neighborhood so we popped in randomly for dinner one evening. I certainly was not expecting to have one of the best meals of our 4 week trip, but The Plough really delivered! We ordered food and drinks at the bar before sitting down in a cozy table in the corner. Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating, making some excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. The chefs that night were on fire, they had some serious kitchen skills in the house. They knocked it out of the park with the hamburger and fries as well as the chicken wings - easily some of the best I've ever had.
Nice, modern pub a few minutes from Clapham Junction. Have been past before but never been in until yesterday afternoon. My loss! Lovely looking food (didn't eat myself), good beers and super friendly staff.
Great experience at the Plough! Good selection of drinks, nice vegan options and my dog Dave was welcome. Staff also very friendly and knowledgeable. 5 stars, will be back!
Our new go to after hockey practice. Great service, great drinks and great Sunday roast. Big thank you to the best team!! Ross, Ina and Daniele for always looking after us. You guys are awesome and make us wanna come back week after week with your delicious margaritas..
Lunch time!! Very large establishment, which is great! We ordered Pough Burger, (chips/fries) fantastic! Our daughter ordered fish (haddock), which was actually the size of a whale.. 😂 along with fries/chips and mushy peas. The food was outstanding! It did take a bit to receive the food, which means made fresh!!! We also had a pint of beer, white wine and an espresso martini. Would definitely return!!
I went here with some friends and the service was extremely good. The food was served quickly and wasn't cold and was presented very well. Everything was well cooked and we all finished our meals with no issues.
We also had a few rounds of cocktails and they were the best cocktails we had tasted in a while. I've already recommended the place to my friends and plan to be back to visit soon!
Lovely place and atmosphere, went on fathers day and not too busy. Great decor, lovely service app option available and no fee to make a table booking. The roast was GORGEOUS, a good amount of gravy which is essential and would be interested in trying the sharing platter. Decent prices for central London.
Spacious, quiet but classy, great atmosphere. Imo this is just about the best possible location for a First Date 😄♥️ my date bought me lots of the shredded beef mini burger things, she certainly knows the way to a man's heart!
My group stopped by The Plough after a day of adventuring in London on the way back to our AirBnB. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. My fiancé and I ordered the Pulled Pork Flatbread Nachos to share. As an American, we were expecting tortilla chips and the fixings for nachos, but what was presented to us was different but oh so tasty. The chicken skewers were phenomenal—so tender and delicious. Using the bread slices, you could make your own “nacho” with the assortment of toppings provided including the chicken, pulled pork, guacamole, and pico de gallo. This shareable could fill more than two people for sure.
We also ordered some chips. The chips were AMAZING. Light, pillowy, crispy, and fresh out of the fryer. It was like I was floating on a potato cloud with every bite.
The food was great and well presented. We also had cocktails and they were some of the best we’ve tasted. Would definitely recommend and come here again!!
Went here with my family for a meal and can honestly say was the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, my Waitress was Maci and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was to a great standard, the atmosphere was wonderful. Definitely will be coming back again!!
Great service and good food, went for dinner and was positively surprised by the service, the staff was very friendly & helpful and didn’t rush to get you out of the way like many other places when ordering drinks.
The food and cocktails was all good, food was tasty and juicy, while cocktail was well balanced, tasty and decent priced.
This is the perfect bar!
Absolutely amazing food, cocktails are delicious and the staff are so friendly!
Especially our waiter Alfie, he was such a comedic joy to be served by :)
Would definitely recommend their MASSIVE brunch sandwiches!!
Booked a table for dinner and to watch the rugby.
Nice place!
With a wide screen and plenty of tv's, it made watching the rugby a good event!
