The lamb kabab was nice, but we had to wait a while for the food to be ready. My meat platter was salty but reasonably priced. It is cash only, which we were lucky to have some cash. They do not serve any hot drinks either. It is quite basic.

Ordered food from Pitta House a few times now and every time the food was delicious. Top quality meat and fresh veggies every time. I tried both the giros and souvlaki and both taste like home. On another occasion we tried the mix grilled platter and the beef burgers are exceptional. 5 stars.

As close to Greece as it can be at New Cross with this 'gyro pita', the legendary Greek fast food Nr.1! Great meats, big portions, soft drinks and ayran. Sit in or take away. Toilet available downstairs. Lovely and kind staff happy to help also with directions around the area.

Had a bad experience with an order that the restaurant staff let sit in the delivery booking system asking them to accept for 15 minutes, which they ultimately ignored and was auto cancelled by Deliveroo. Pretty poor form as it was within their listed working hours.

Pitta house's gyros are so delicious and authentic. If you miss good Greek street food, this is the best place in London to find it. Also, staff members are very friendly 🙂
