Coolest east London Mexican. You want to have a tasty Mexican food, listen good music and have fun, this is the place in east London. I tried a few Tex Mex around the City, by the way disgusting until I popped in Boho Mexica. Even the old newspapers on the wall and historic posters about Mexico in the fifties amazed me. Drinks really good, the have good staff behind the bar. we had all the tacos, the cochinita is my favourite. Although tables are small, but you can enjoy the vibrant east London life at the windows: good views on commercial St. Really good atmosphere!

Just as in Mexico. I took my wife to boho Mexica and tried the "Asado de Boda Edde" a dish that you can only find in a specific region of Mexico. I was really surprise as the Zacatecan Wedding Roast was just as in Mexico! It must be the only restaurant in London serving this traditional mexican food. We had a good wine (Merlot) and the mexican cake "Tres leches". Delicious. cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, I recommend you to book in advance.

REAL MEXICAN. I travel to Mexico very often, and everytime i comeback to London i crave Mexican food, my friend told me about boho, so i tried, and WOW i was amazed at the quality of the food, is real authentic mexican food, not tex mex. I had a hard time choosing what to eat! everything sounded so delicious, i ended up ordering the Pollo a la Morita, it was to die for, the sauce was so fresh and spicy. The staff are very friendly and the whole restaurant has a nice vibe, difently coming back!

As good as mexico. I'm from Manchester and had I read a lot of reviews before going to this place, as I love Mexican food since the moment I went to Acapulco with my parents a while back - and was frankly a bit afraid, but I can tell you this much, I went there with 4 of my friends this past weekend, and the first thing is the place, is cozy and has a really good vibe from the moment you get in, and then the food, small portions?! Really, waht do people expect?! They are quite large and sufficient, and the flavours are simply wonderful, not waht I expected at all, i will be coming back and so will my friends - definitely not the type of Mexican you find over here in Manchester

Really really good. A nice and cozy place, very good atmosphere...i wasn t disappointed after living in Mexico for a few years to find a place in london where i can taste traditional Mexican cuisine. The staff is nice and polite, and at the bar these guys make really good cocktails. There is a big variety of them. Try the cochinita, the enchilada de Mole and the Tamal....the food is tasty and it s definitely not a Tex Mex, thanks god!
At Boho Mexica, you can just go for a drink in the lounge, or have dinner. You have both atmospheres. The decoration is very interesting; as you have the opportunity to see the artistic expression of some painter......i recommend it.

I have no complaints about the food. It's all pretty competant and delicious. The empanadas are perhaps a bit too doughy, but the tacos are pretty perfect and I dig the steak. It's the service that I can't deal with. They're freakin' CRAZY.

I stopped by here on a Friday evening for some after-after-work drinks and a bite to eat.  Mexican cuisine is perfect for when the food itself may not be the main objective of the evening but still a necessity for those not so hard-nosed about the "eating is cheating" rule.  Besides they have a great selection of strong Margaritas to get you back up to speed.

We opted to share a bunch of appetizers and tacos to share rather than go for mains.  This served 2 purposes, We could try more variety and it would be less filling so there would be more space for another Margarita. The latter was incorrect as we were extremely full but didn't stop me ordering a second anyway.

The food was generally very good with great depth of flavour and that spicy tangy Mexican kick.  Miso cheating by eating.

A Latino lounge in Shoreditch, you'll find it tucked next to Hawskmoor but the two are worlds apart.

Start with the tortilla chips (homemade, of course) and chunky guacamole whilst you decide whether you're brave enough to go in for a shot of mezcal. We decided we weren't (but bought one for the birthday girl) and instead went for bottles of the house sangiovese and cerveza stalwart, Corona. Forgoing the starters - which sounded delicious - we dove straight into the main menu. It's a little tricky to work out quite what you'll be getting, despite the printed descriptions, but we all chanced it and ended up hugely satisfied.

I went for the La Toluquena Quesadilla - white flour tortillas, stuffed with melted cheese and homemade chorizo verde, with black bean and sauteed chipotle salsa (warning: spicy). Served on a huge plate with a salad (got to have some greenery on there somewhere, right?!), this was more than enough for me - although I did manage to polish the whole lot off, let's just blame it on the travelling. Other people opted for the enchiladas, which were chicken and served with a choice of salsa verde (less spicy) or salsa roja (spicy). And when these Mexicans tell you it's spicy, they mean it. Ashley went for the sauteed octopus and calamari with chipotle chili and onions, that come served with fresh mini tortillas for your own wrapping experience. These aren't your Wacaha wonders, these are definitely the dishes that your Mexican mama would serve up.

The service was a little slow to start but then nicely attentive once we'd ordered. The music's Mexicana but you might recognise some tunes in there and the vibe's very relaxed. It's a busy little place so may be worth booking whenever you feel a little need for some Latino loving.

Boho Mexica – is one of the better features of the Mexican wave spreading over London, which probably started with the instant success of Wahaca and sees no end. Why it took so long for this delicious cuisine to conquer London, I’ll never know, but I’m grateful it’s here! And Boho Mexica, is good, it’s authentic, adventurous and most importantly it’s great fun for a night out, which Mexican food should always be. I cannot recommend the Mezcaltini highly enough, I think I had about four, accompanied by the topos with guacamole and salsa – this is the best test of a Mexican restaurant, and they were delicious here! We ordered nearly all the tostadas to share, the ceviche was outstanding. The food in general was definitely up to the mark, large portions, and very satisfying. They did hustle us to get their table back in 2 hours though, in not a very friendly way, so that was a bit of an unfortunate end to the meal.

Only visited this place once. It was on a Wednesday night but the compact setting made it feel quite busy considering the mid-week time-slot. There was not enough space for the four of us to sit in the main section so we were seated on stools around the corner. This was to the detriment of both our service and our comfort. However, this is a shoreditch restaurant in every sense of the word so the casual service and the "cool" furniture are to be expected and even loved depending on your age and attitude. The main reason for visiting of course was the food. It did not disappoint. Between the four of us we explored a good portion of the menu and all agreed it was very tasty. None of us had ever visited Mexico before so cannot comment on the authenticity but compared to the many Mexican restaurants I have visited in London the food here was certainly at the higher end the scale. Definitely worth a visit.

Brilliant place! We arranged our team Christmas dinner there after I saw the amazing reviews. I am not normally a fan of Mexican, but I chose this place because everyone said the food was authentic and not the typical commercial rubbish that sometimes passes for Mexican. Cocktails are really good- strong- but good (Zombie is lethal). If you are a true Tequila fan then this is the place for you. You get the good stuff here. All in all money well spent and well worth it. I will be going back.

Excellent food. Portions are sized closer to (but larger than) tapas compared to a full meal, however they are priced like a meal platter. Drinks are expensive as well (10 pounds for a Margarita). Coming from the US, this is one place I can go to get good Mexican food, although I usually only go with work friends from out of town so I can expense it.

This is nice little family run mexican restaurant, it does good food at decent prices, and is normally always busy without being overly busy. The decor is nice and gives the place a nice ambience, making it ideal , for a first date, a business dinner, or family occasions. The food is fresh and vibrant and has real falvour and is enhanced by the fact that they are all very mexican and really authentic in that sense. The seafood that we ordered was particularly good. The prices aren't extortionate but aren't basement bargain either, but overall the food and the service is worth it. It's one I would definitely return to and recommend for friends.

Totally unexpected delight close to the Liverpool Street, we so nearly walked by this place without a thought. Decor is urban and quirky, food is some of the best Mexican I have ever had in London. Big portions, and fragrant, spicy dishes.

Delicious food last night. All things nice and spice. Nice to see quality and flavour served generously. Makes you realise how much of a rip off wahaca really is. Service with a smile and a lovely atmosphere. Added to my list of good London finds.

Seriously - there's no way this place is 11/30. I've voted it full marks, but that's just to balance it out! Great Mexican food, one of the best in London. Order the Boho Zombie to drink, and the brisket appetiser ..

Good drink menu, and not everything is good in the food menu but some really nice dishes. The chicken wings are outstanding.
