The location is brilliant because you can escape the madness of trafalgar square. the cafe upstairs can be a little busy but they have a toilet up there (closes early some days so be aware) also it's not the nicest or cleanest toilet in the world... i really like this branch though, it's better than the strand for sure.

Great bookstore on multi-floors and coffee shop. Huge book selection of pretty much all flavours. Very popular coffee shop being on the corner between Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross station (plus toilet). TBH it is recommended for the books but far less for the busy coffee shop and small toilet.

This is a UK version of an American Barnes and Noble bookstore and cafe. Well organized and clean with the convenient location right off of Trafalgar Square. The only negative thing i have to say is that there was only one employee servicing the cafe guests and there was a line of several people waiting to order drinks. The employee was very polite and did the best she could given that she is only one person.

I don’t think there is a book you can’t find there :) very helpful staff with huge knowledge about literature and willing to help with anything. We visited cafe also and the only thing that bothered me was the fact that tables were not cleaned after previous customers. Nevertheless- very good coffee. We’re coming back to that place every time we are in London.

Nice bookstore and cafe. A great place to peruse while resting from sight-seeing! Buy an item to get a receipt with code to use the restroom.

This is a large branch of the Waterstones bookstore chain at Trafalgar Square in London. It has a very good selection of books of all genres and for all ages. It also offers a variety of other goods, such as magazines, stationery, small decorations and souvenirs, board games, etc. It is an excellent bookstore and certainly worth a visit when you are in the vicinity

This was great. I brought my 16 year old daughter here to buy some books. There's just something about being surrounded by loads of books. My daughter loved it and she can't wait to go back. We also met someone who who was also book shopping. They were able to give us feedback on a book we were interested in and also made some recommendations to us.

Amazing bookstore with a huge selection. Staff member was so friendly and helpful to the person in front of me I was expecting the same but she barely spoke a word to me and was quite dismissive. When I produced my Waterstones card she looked annoyed and mumbled, 'Oh you've got one of those'. Spoiled the shopping experience somewhat. My local Waterstones are much friendlier.

Charming book shop with a wide choice of genres. Spacious enough to lose yourself there and enjoy it... The cafe location and layout are nice, with a good view of the streets. I would have liked for once to see clean tables not piled with dirty cups, plates, napkins, etc... kind of disappointing and immediately ruining your mood for coffee and a nice book or to chat with friends. Though the coffee was great, it was not enough.

Nice Waterstones in a very nice location, it's a very sizable store so you can within reason guarantee you'll find what you're looking for, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful Due to the spot it is filled with a lot of people who are a bit aimless and end up blocking your paths quite a bit so if you want to actually do some shopping might be better off travelling further and heading to another one of the stores

staff are so lovely! had a slice of banana bread which was almost as good as mine😂🍌 so great to see the penguin clothbound classics collection there; was able to add to my own! nice ambience as always, and the only thing i would say is that the spirituality/new age thought/yoga section was slightly dry and in need of stocking up with a few more books. those which were there were good books, however!

Love the concept : library downstairs and a coffee shop with some pastries on the first floor. WiFi available, as well as plugs. Perfect place to work !

Busy bookshop on the verge of Trafalgar Sq which I used to find a specific book. The staff members were attentive and found my book without hours of searching. Shopping in person is always better than online browsing when it's this good.
