I came here one day randomly almost five years ago. And year after year I just find myself always coming back. It is a vegan Eritrean restaurant ran by a lovely lady from who cooks the food and serves herself. Price is affordable and the service is immaculate. 100% recommend. 201 Holloway Rd, London N7 8DJ

Really special food. This restaurant serve real vegan food from Eritrea. We past by and we wanted to try and it was amazing. Special offer if you share the food and suggest to get the local bread (injera). Really recommend and the lady that served was fantastic. I wanted to to take a picture of the food, but was too late. Price cheap and no service charge. Cash or card is accepted. Gluten-free is possible.

incredible little place run by what seems to be one woman! place wasn't busy at 8pm on a Friday night, but food was great - cheap but proper vegan comfort food (lentils, etc) with lots of carbs to boot (rice, pitta, injera). had never had Eritrean food before so this was lovely. huge props to the owner as she seems to be running the entire place on her own!

Keren View is the best place I know of around Holloway road for simple and delicious vegan food. We love the meals and always feel so well looked after when we come to Karen view. Zeba and the rest of the crew are absolutely amazing. I especially recommend this place for groups - I was with a group of 8 volunteers and we had lunch at Keren View a couple of times a week for 6 weeks and it worked perfectly. We prearranged meals so that they were ready when we arrived, and we knew how much we'd be paying (which was very helpful for us as a charity). I couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you Zeba!

Absolute gem. I have never been so pleasantly surprised. This simple restaurant on Holloway road way exceeded our expectations. Fantastic, healthy, authentic food served to us by a wonderfully interesting and freindly women ( owner). Also gets bonus points for being spotlessly clean and really good value. Absolutely wonderful garlic/ spinach dish- try it

Went in and the place was just us! We had fantastic genuine service that wasn’t light speed but also not rushed, very attentive and authentic. Nice Eritrean beer and food! Well spiced and seasoned and left us filled nicely. A great first experience Will be back with more people for sure.

Don't miss this fantastic restaurant in Highbury - an Eritrean vegan place. Family owned and operated, this authentic spot serves up incredible food (including excellent options for sharing) prepared by the lovely owner herself. In a time when it's not always easy to find small restaurants like these serving traditional food, with incredible hospitality and humility, Keren View is an absolute gem!

This place was an amazing introduction to African food. The dishes were flavorful and the price for amount is fair. The lady running this place is so sweet and attentive, it made the whole experience even better. Definitely give this Keren a visit!

I would give this place six stars if I could. The food is great, the portions are big (order two curries per person as the meal deal suggests) and the service is genuine, friendly and very welcoming and relaxed. The decor is lovely too. The food won't come immediately because they put care into it, but equally you won't be waiting for hours. Definitely recommended to all.

The best restaurant on Holloway Road. The food is incredibly authentic and SO delicious and the service is so lovely. It’s a very calm atmosphere - a place to sit back and relax. We will be going regularly.

Lovely food, really friendly staff and great service. Had never tried injera before but the sourdough injera was incredible. Great value. Ate here before an Arsenal game as it's really close to the ground. Highly recommend to any vegan gooners.

What a lovely independent restaurant within walking distance from Drayton Park train station. Note that the front door can be a bit stiff but just give it a good push during opening hours and it'll budge. Upon entering, you'll observe the authentic furnishings and the real hanging vines on the walls - this modest establishment quickly reveals itself to be run by a gentle yet multi-talented lady who readily plays all the roles of owner, manager, chef and waitress. Seating can accomodate at least 30 people but rather unexpectedly, the place was empty at prime dining time on a Friday evening - usually this is a red flag, but as you'll discover, it's completely undeserved. It was great for my dining partner and I as we received a very personalised service! There's also no music playing which is refreshingly peaceful and allowed us to have a conversation. Onto the food: if you're not familiar with Eritrean cuisine but you are with Indian, you'll feel right at home here. We indulged in the course for two which includes three mains and either pitta bread, injera or basmati rice. For our mains, we opted for atter (chickpeas), bamya (okra) and ades (a spicy daal-like lentil dish) - the portion sizes of which were slightly on the smaller side, but all tasty and rather more-ish - rest assured you'll be mopping the plate clean. These were accompanied by a sourdough injera which was plentiful compared to the mains, and had a satisfying sour tang to them. We also ordered a brownie for dessert and a couple of drinks between us, yet somehow altogether the bill worked out to less than £20 per person - a very decent price for London! Give this restaurant some love if you're looking for a cuisine and dining experience off the beaten trail. Recommended!
