The best ever place I've eaten. food was on point timing was quality basically unbelievable result
Burgers are on point. Food served on time. Friendly staff. Muddy fries are must have!
Muddy Chilly Hut Dawg. It was scrumptious. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Excellent customer service. Next time I'm in London I'm coming in over!!
Brilliant place, service was amazing and food was 4 *. Wouldve given it a 5 but I'm greedy like that ;)
My wife and I stumbled upon this little gem in the back streets of Whitechapel by accident. The funny thing is, my wife and I had been talking about eating a good gourmet burger earlier that day. I had mentioned how well Byron Burger and Five Guys were doing here and how good it would be to have a quality halal alternative. There is Big Moe's which isn't bad and Loaded in Ilford which is also good but they both cannot compare to The Gourmet Hut. Flavoursome and juicy beef patty and quality bun. It didnt break up and fall apart in your hand after taking a bite and actually stayed intact till the very last bite. Great service to boot. They have only been open 2 months and I was told by the waitress that in the evening that there are queues outside waiting for a table. They are obviously doing something right.
Lovely food.. great taste and value for money.. will defo be returning !!
Great Place. Food is delicious. No problems parking. Great for family. Good service.
Food was wicked!! Will recommend to everyone must try
Went yesterday, the service was good and the food was amazing. Try out the "muddy fries" it was absolutely delish, very filling. The burgers was just as good.
Burger and chips £16 this is very expensive for you east London
Watch out for your receipt, they charge extra for items while trying to sneakily scam you. Went out as a group of three, and realised that the order they take is written on paper I didn't find nothing weird on that until I went hope and looked back at the menu knowing they charged us £3.45 for Evian water when it was meant to be £1.60 and £1.60 for extra jalapeños when it was £1.00, very dodgy!
went there with a large group from work last week. everything was so delicious and the service was great. I recommend the milk shakes. highly recommended
I have been to The Gourmet Hut countless amount of times, Not once have I ever had a bad experience. People who complain about price are clearly dining out of their budget. The burgers are sensational and the muddy fries are to die for. Staff are very competent and friendly. Will definitely go back and recommend. Keep up the good work guys!!
Firecracker: £8.50 | So I headed to The Gourmet Hut for a catch up the other day and thought I'd try the somewhat infamous burger- The Firecracker. On the menu, this is shown as the spiciest burger. Now according to the menu, this consists of the beef patty, cheddar, tomato, spicy sausage, crushed chilli, tortilla chips, red onion, green and red jalapeño, mustard and the TGH Hot Sauce. However, in my Firecracker, there was no sign of crushed chilli, tortilla chips, red jalapeño and mustard. Saying that, the burger still tasted great. The patty reminded me of the one from Stax Diner. Very tender. The whole burger combination definitely worked and there was a variety of flavours in every bite. I didn't find the burger spicy at all. If anything, there was too much hot sauce which was more tangy than spicy for me. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. It was cooked to perfection and presented very neatly too!
Curly Fries: £2.50 | Hot and crispy and curly, what more could you possibly ask for? Absolutely loved these! Usually I can't finish anything I order but I actually managed to finish these xD
Red Mist: £3.95 | By far the best mocktail I have tasted to date. I was worried about it tasting too much of strawberry but it was actually so refreshing and just had a slight hint of strawberry. Actually craving this right now 😅 Definitely try it out if you go to TGH guys! Foodie.007 x
The Gourmet Hut is my favourite place to eat (although I place order to take away). Its a cute little restaurant a few streets away from the hustle and bustle of Whitechapel High Street. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the service is wonderful. The food is out of this world and what I call filthy delicious!...(which is a good thing because that means its out of this world delicious). I would go there for breakfast (although its not open for breakfast), lunch and dinner everyday if I could, and if it wasn't too weird! The burgers at TGH are so delicious, big and packed with flavour. I usually have the 'Big Cheesy' and have never been disappointed with it, its always consistent in flavour and appearance. I usually have fries or homemade chips which are lovely. You should go and definitely check it out, its a little gem....and I am certain you'll go back there again.....its that good!
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's a halal burger joint just round the corner from my work.
They have a good range of burgers, just about the right amount of variety I'd say. The burgers are good quality and of a decent size, and taste good too. The firecracker is pretty spicy. I was intrigued by the breakfast one, but I'm not a fan of eggs on burgers. They even do a double burger and which would be truly mammoth.
Chips are nice and you get a big portion too.
Obviously it's not as fancy as Dirty Burger just up the road, but it's as good and better value.
Last night myself and a few friends felt peckish while watching movies at my place. We were in need of some urgent takeaway. Usually, for a Saturday night take out we end up going for the common local grease. This time the lads were adament on having a Gourmet burger.
I instantly chose TGH considering I hadn't tried it yet although there were mixed opinions amongst us. We all went for an avergae size burger and kept away from the bigger ones fearing we'd fall asleep. We chose "The Cheesy One". A patty with mayo, ketchup, lettuce, onions, tomato and sliced cheese with grated cheese. We also ordered "Muddy Fries" for two (soft chips, melted cheese, jalapenos, kidney beans and savoury mince). The Muddy Fries were actually enough for three.
We brought the food home and I had massacred my burger in a space of a few minutes and so did the others. Those initial mixed opinions that were amongst us had changed and the ratings of TGH had shot through the ceiling. I for one am evident of that because I was never a huge fan of fancy burgers. My experience of "The Cheesy One" at The Gourmet Hut has certainly changed that.
It's a great place for small groups of friends, collegues and family to go to. I am going to give TGH a fair rating of four for NOW. Reason being, I didn't dine in or try anything else on the menu i.e. starters. So perhaps when I sit in and try other things on the menu it could very well go up to a rating of five. I was told that they'd soon be updating their menu which should go down a treat.
The Gourmet Hut, a true gem!
(My picture of the burger doesn't do it justice as I had opened the bun to remove the sliced tomato).
Not normally a fan of burgers when I eat out, but this place will have me coming back for more.
The menu looked very simple and it was easy to choose what we wanted. I went for the cheesy burger, my wife chose the firecracker and we shared a muddy fries. The cheesy burger was delicious, it tasted very cheesy and beefy, absolutely perfect (which unfortunately other places have failed to deliver). The bun was really soft and warm which complimented the juicy burger perfectly. My wife really enjoyed her firecracker and thought it was really tasty and distinct. The muddy fries looked amazing and tasted just as good. The chips were cooked well, which were covered in tasty mince, very moist, with lots of cheese and jalepenos.
Overall we enjoyed brilliant food for a good price and we're certainly going to choose this place the next time we want burgers.
A surprising little find.
This is the first Halal burger joint I'cd found playing Islamic music and it gives a really chilled vibe the staff are really welcoming and friendly.
The food is really well prepared and thought out, it's not as tasty as the nearby dirty burger but there is also no time pressure, a much bigger portion of food (the burgers are home made and the right size) and I felt it was much better value for money.
The menu is not huge which I always feel is a positive.
I had their special burger and some scampi popcorn, I'm a big guy and this filled me up nicely.
It cost us £30 for a starters two burgers, chips and two milkshakes which I felt was fare.
Would recommend and I will go again.
The best halal Gourmet Burger joint I've been to so far. Haven't been to too many so not a big deal. The food was delicious no complaints. They could add a few more items to the menu, was very small selection. Service was good by a 19 year old Waitress. Very bubbly and a pleasure to talk to.
Great spot for good food. Speedy and delicious food with very attentive service. The burgers were seriously tasty and the homemade slaw was slightly spiced and delicious. Homemade fries are a must have too - you can get them topped with katsu chicken and sauce for a great sharing side.
I’m a regular customer here , I always crave for their food , every bite is just worth every penny . I love their new Korean burger . Also whenever I’m here I always have to have their muddy fries the best thing ever . I hope their chef never changes . Keep up the good work. Next time I’m here I shall have their breaky
Food is off the chain, my taste buds are on a trip..... food is amazing, full of flavour and mouthwatering delights. Staff are friendly and attentive towards the customers and the hostess with the mostess Samaiyah, friendly, great hostess . 5 stars for this place all day every day
A wonderful restaurant with warm decor that invites you in. The menus was simple but packed with choices. The food came out in time hot and delicious. What a pleasant evening out with the lads. Surely you must visit. Them hot wings tho……,watch out they are on fire!!! Lol
The Gourmet Hut is a small, family-run burger joint in Whitechapel that has quickly become a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The menu features a wide variety of gourmet burgers, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
I recently visited The Gourmet Hut with my family and we were all very impressed with the food. We started with the Korean BBQ wings and the Muddy Fries, both of which were delicious. The wings were perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavorful without being too overpowering. The Muddy Fries were also very good, with a generous amount of beef mince, cheese, and jalapeños.
For our mains, we ordered the Pulled it Off burger and the Korean BBQ Chick burger. Both burgers were cooked to perfection and were packed with flavor. The Pulled it Off burger was made with pulled beef, brisket & slow cooked beef, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce, while the Korean BBQ Chick burger was made with Korean-marinated chicken, kimchi, and gochujang mayo.
We also tried the Pink Lemonade, which was refreshing and perfectly sweet.
The service at The Gourmet Hut was excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and she made sure that we had everything we needed.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at The Gourmet Hut. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great burger in Whitechapel.
Excellent ! the server was adorable, pleasant atmosphere (ideal for couple or family), the burgers are very good and rich. Very good price-quality ratio. I recommend eyes closed, the curly fries are amazing.
Describing this restraint and it’s food as incredible would be an understatement. These were the best burgers I have had in my life, and some great fries. I paid a little over 9£ for a burger you could have easily told me was a £30 gourmet burger, and I would have believed it. The waiter was also so incredibly nice, and so was the chef! I would go again, no hesitation.
Been going here for 8 years or so, food is 10/10, firecracker is the burger to get for those that like spice. The sides are always on point (muddy fries especially).
My wife and I were fasting and they kindly even provided dates to have when we broke our fasts. Alhumdulillah.

I have been a visitor in London for a couple of days and this restaurant is the first one that I dined in. We had wings, burgers and fries. The wings were spicy and were nice. The Korean BBQ burger was also very good. The service was good and also had a good interior.
