Amazing, Ive been looking for a place in London that does Souvlaki that doesnt break the Bank!
Im so glad my office moved to Aldgate, because Bluez Souvlaki is amazing!
This place is great. Like seriously great. If you work in the area you MUST come check it out.
I ordered the salad with halloumi which came with bread on the side. It was fantastic. It's so good to see a salad without lettuce and this one his the spot exactly. Dripping in an amazing dressing with perfectly grilled halloumi for just a fiver, this has become my new lunch staple. Impressed.
This is how lunch should be done.
A lovely vibe, friendly staff and a cracking wrap. Packed with loads of tomato, chicken and halloumi with a dressing. Not cheap but it's worth it.
I went here for lunch with Jon W and Ash Nauradi (his suggestion). The first thing you notice is how new and clean the place is and steps away from the stereotype of a greasy takeaway place. The menu is quite simple but there is a good variety and I personally feel this makes it easier than having to choose from too many options.
I ordered a halloumi wrap and it was decent. The cheese wasn't burnt, wasn't too watery and there was a good amount so I got some in every bite. The one flaw was the hummous, plain and flavourless, a little seasoning wouldn't go amiss.
Given its location in Aldgate and the fact that I didn't try any of the sweets on this occasion I will definitely be coming back!
I don't usually come to a gyro shop because of the dearth of vegetarian options, so was surprised to find a t least a couple of options here. I usually get the the Halloumi with Olives option. Not sure how authentic this is, but it's delicious. Surprisingly so juste because I don't expect 2 salty items to go well together.
The service is pretty quick, even during busy lunch times. The staff could really smile a bit more and just generally put on their happy face. We're customers after all. But then, some times it's tough when there a lot of customers to get through, so it's forgivable.
Specialist in Souvlaki. They have Pork, Chicken Breast, Turkey Breast, Greek Village Sausage, Lamb or vegetable. They do both salads and wraps. Lovely with Chips for a nice quick treat :)
Fast service so suits a lunch break. Usually less than a 5 min wait for food. The meat is cooked on charcoal which makes it so much more flavoursome than most places in the area. It all seems to be of a good quality, trust me I'm fussy. The gyros uses proper chicken breast and the salad is fresh. Nice choice of deserts if you're treating yourself.
Popped in with a colleague for lunch on the go. Service was good, the lady who served me was very friendly. I ordered the pork wrap. Very tasty although the portion is on the small size. But for £6, it’s definitely worth the price.
Probably the best Souvlaki wrap in London. Bit overpriced (around £5/wrap which isn't big enough) but it had great original taste as if I was back home in Greece.
No gyros unfortunately
Great that they do delivery with UBEREats
Fresh and tasty enough - not enough spice for my liking but the bread was good and it wasn't a terrible lunch option if you accept that lunch for less than a fiver just isn't practical if you don't want a soul destroying triangle from tesco
Had the halloumi souvlaki. Pita very nice and generous amount of halloumi. Good value (£4.80). Quick service.
Great wraps, which I prefer much more than real souvlaki. The only thing I didn't like was the salad, as it is not freshly made.
fries with oregano were awesome, huge portion, perfectly salted. Souvlaki was decent
Great lunch spot. Good size portions. Taste with simplicity.
Beautiful FRESH Food.... I'm here nearly every lunch break.... chicken gyros 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and the lamb wrap.
