I ate there yesterday and the food was amazing. The staff were efficient and polite and the price wasn't too bad either. Thoroughly recommend this place and will definitely go back.

After a long, tiring weekend, my boyfriend and opted to order in a Vietnamese. We decided to try Hai Ha as we are due to move into the area soon so thought we'd try and find a new local and I'm not going to lie, we were swayed by the free delivery. The food did not disappoint and arrived promptly. There was so much of it with the goat noodle dish a particular highlight. We also tried some of the fresh rolls and mango salad which were fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommend for somewhere which is as a good as the Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road.

If you like a BIG bowl of pho, then this place had the friendliest service. Staff pulled the curtains over the door as the temperature dropped and the food came out quickly. The beef pho was gorgeous and filling and the biggest portion I've had so far. The banana fritter was decent and they served orange slices as I waited for it to arrive.

I had never tried Vietnamese before. What is it about Christmas that draws me closer to other cuisine? Savouring other tastes in anticipation of making that Christmas meal all the more foreign perhaps. This restaurant delightful. You can byob, which is always delightful with the corkage at just £1 per person. The food portions were immensely fresh perfectly sized. I had a delicious duck in a sticky sweet sauce that was so fresh and zingy. There was just so much on the menu that I will definitely been stopping in for another look. Definitely a reliable haunt for bringing someone to dinner for a reasonably priced reliable meal!

Pho-king great! You don't have to go to Kingsland Road to get a decent bowl of Pho. Right here you can BYOB and slurp away on a tasty soup. I like this place because it gives you options. Large or small and a variety of meats. I struggle to finish a huge bowl of Pho that they normally serve out, so being able to get a smaller size was perfect. Everything is made fresh so it doesn't come out super fast but that's cool because you can open up you're wine and nibble on their soft shell crabs while you wait. Not quite the standard of some of the other places I have been but indeed it is tasty!

Hai Ha is a great Vietnamese cafe serving good food at very good prices. The restaurant's exterior and interior is not spectacular but the bench seating combined with circular tables makes it a relaxed place to eat. You are able to bring your own wine which is good news for the off licence next door. There are a few Vietnamese restaurants scattered on Mare Street but Hai Ha is definately my favourite. The barbecue ribs and the rice with mixed meats is so delicious and the portions are very generous. The staff are usually friendly but the odd occassion where someone has been a bit abrupt has been quickly forgotten when the food arrives.

Fantastic Vietnamese cuisine in Hackney - there are a few choices in this area but Hai Ha is good for being really fairly priced and having a great menu, with some pretty authentic cuisine options including goat dishes. BYOB (but not soft drinks) - nothing special to look at, but it's all about the food.

A family-own restaurant with a large menu of classic and traditional Vietnamese dishes with options for vegetarians. Owners are very friendly. Portions are very generous and full of flavours. I loved the banh cuon! Come here if you want an authentic meal and not bothered about the frills!

Vietnamese classics done right. Ordered takeaway from here and it hit the spot. The pho was the perfect blend of heartiness and freshness, the richness of the broth balanced out by crisp and fresh vegetables. The summer roles were thick, chewy dough giving way to crunchy veg with chunks of tofu soaking up the tangy peanut sauce. The interior was inviting and relaxed, and the owner was friendly. Highly recommended

Food was absolutely stunning, really authentic and something new. Will definitely be back here. Had the clay pot beef brisket with egg fried rice and it was amazing. Everyone is very friendly.

The Vietnamese Special baguette is out of this world delicious. It seems to sort of double as a B-day part room for hire so I've never eaten in but both times the elderly couple working the door have been super friendly and efficient.

Been here a few times now during my lunch break. Not being an expert in this type of cuisine, for me it is very tasty. I've had a handful of different dishes and all seem to be freshly prepared. As I've only visited when they've just opened at lunchtime, I am usually the only one in there, so can't make a fair comment on the general atmosphere. My only gripe so far is the portions are a bit on the small side, however I have a big appetite, so for a normal person it's probably OK. The one member of staff that I've seen is very friendly and always greets me and takes the time to have a chat. He always points out that all the ingredients they use are purchased daily from a local supermarket (which I won't name) so compared to the other local Vietnamese restaurants theirs is the best by far. As you can see from my pictures, the portion size seems to vary for no apparent reason, but trust me on this, the food is good. I would definitely recommend a visit here 👍

We eat here regularly and the food is always amazing; always fresh with the finest quality ingredients. As we had a milestone birthday, we wanted all our nearest and dearest friends and family to also get a chance to taste the amazing food from here so we asked the owners if they could cater for our event. The owners happily obliged and provided a service that went beyond expectations such as including items such as sauces/garnishes etc. Needless to say, the food went down a treat with nothing left spared as guests went for seconds and thirds! Thank you so much Hai Ha Restaurant. We definitely recommend everyone try your food.

Great Vietnamese restaurant in Hackney. Really welcoming, charming staff and fab food - all the classic dishes and then in particular some really good vegetarian / vegan options. Highly recommended.

Really tasty food and friendly service. Went out for lunch with a work colleague. It was difficult to choose from the extensive menu. I had the crispy belly pork, which was cooked to perfection, with tasty and crisp egg fried rice. Service was friendly without being intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Ordered the special Vietnamese baguette (banh mi) and a delicious Vietnamese iced coffee. Very tasty and good value at lunchtime. Personally rarely see banh mi with paté and pork floss in London so was happy it was included. Friendly service!
