I totally recommend this venue as it´s the best children´s cafe in Stoke Newington. It´s very cosy, with a warm atmosphere and has several classes during the week that are suitable for different age groups. The decoration is very appealing to children and adults and there´s lots of toys, books and also props so there´s no way a child will get bored here. Babies and toddlers are free to wander around and play while the parents can relax and have a nice cup of tea or coffee. The food is delicious and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially Maddy who now runs the cafe and makes sure everyone feels as comfortable as possible.
I have been meaning to post for ages. For those of you who don't know her, Maddy is now running the cafe and she has been like a breath of fresh air in That Place. There are an excellent range of classes for all ages, and nice range of healthy light snacks and cakes for mums and kids alike. The place is clean and she has loads of new toys. If you are looking for somewhere fun for the kids now that autumn has set in, give That Place a go. Maddy will give you a very warm welcome. (Local mum of 2 boys)
My daughters and I love this place! The food is great, service is friendly and they have a great timetable of events. We don't get here as often as we would like as we live on the other side of the borough, but we would highly recommend it!
We love this place! Maddy who runs the cafe is so lovely and always makes us feel really welcome. Tons of great classes for the girls and a really nice atmosphere for parents.
Great time here - excellent quality and would highly recommend. Thank you for making it so memorable for my niece and her friends.

Fantastic place for mums and babies. We just had a lovely lunch there after our walk with Walking Mums London
My daughter had a truly amazing Birthday Party here, Thanks guys you were truly fabulous
This cafe allows kids to enjoy themselves by actively stimulating their imagination through play, crafts, story telling, dance... For experienced parents it is a lifesaver, for first time parents it is a must. Prices are really reasonable and you always feel welcome. Fantastic!
Really friendly cafe (the staff and other mums) - we got a free balloon XO was ecstatic. Highly recommended - see you soon! :)
Thank you - fabulous birthday celebration for our 5yo daughter. Wonderful to be free to enjoy her, her friends & their parents. Great food & kids entertainment
Lovely cafe for children of all ages. Brilliant parties packages also x
This cafe is a lovely place for children to visit. My niece recently had a party there and the whole thing was brilliant. The staff were very smiley and helpful, the entertainment was great and the food was perfect for the little ones. The kids loved it and the adults got to relax with a coffee too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a party venue or just somewhere to take their children on a rainy afternoon!

I write as a regular to this cafe since it opened. Mine and my kids favourite retreat. Great classes, toys and grub and lovely coffee and toast for me. I love the staff here and have to leap to their defense. They are warm big hearted people who love entertaining kids. Blatently anyone who has had an experience of 'rudeness' is probably one of those parents who think it is OK to let their kids scream, break things or just generally behave badly. Just because it is a kids cafe that is not a reason for bad parenting. This is a great place for children to get an introduction on how to behave in a restaurant environment while still having fun and giving their parents a break. It is not a place where you can go to let them do things you wouldn't do at home, like climbing on furniture, nappy changing on the dining table while others are eating, hitting other kids etc etc.
Had a 6th birthday party for my daughter jeyda. Everything went smooth. Kids really enjoyed themselves while us parents had a good chat & relaxed. Would recommend to everyone
My daughter had a fantastic time at a party here. Great entertainment for the kids and a perfect latte for me! Perfect Saturday. I can highly recommend!
It is the best place to go on a wet day because the kids can have a good time while parents and carers can relax over coffee and yummy food
Lovely classes for children, Madeline who works there is lovely too.
