Really nice and quaint place in NottingHill.
Loved the vibe.
Had one of the best Ham and bacon pies.
And the sauceeeeee.
It's self service but really very confusing. No one to guide or usher you in. Service could be more prompt and giving.

Had to ask several times for the table to be cleared and cleaned. Not much choice of alcohol. However, the fish and chips were delicious and well cooked. Partners food was brought out on a very chipped plate and the ladies toilets had no loo roll and needed a tidy up. Otherwise, a lovely pub and great place to stop for refreshments.

Quaint little pub with lots of little rooms in the public bar that have tiny doors you stoop through to get into. Each door is only about 4 feet tall! The beer options are limited but the lager was nice ((Taddy Lager). We did not eat but typical pub food was on the menu.

I went for lunch to this place and everything was perfect, I ordered the grilled chicken with chips and it was really tasty. I also ordered this sparkle drink and had to ordered twice because it was so good. The girl working there was so kind with me even when my english was not so good. If I ever come back to London I’ll go to this place😊

My Son (13) and I had lunch in this pub today and we are so happy to have found this place. The pub is much bigger than you think at the moment of entering it. It has a huge room with 2 fire-places in old English-style...very cosy. It was quiet and we enjoyed this peacefully atmosphere after the crowd atmosphere of Portobello Road. I had a steak and ale pie+ mashed potatoes, my son): classic burger. Both options tasted good! Service- really friendly. They have free WiFi too.

This pub has the greatest atmosphere in the area for sure. Hard to explain unless you step in to this gem. Drinks are cheaper than other commercial pubs which is always a good sign. Sometimes bit slow due to short stuffs but your drinks will come so be patient. I love it and it’s my go to when I’m in the area.

I have to be honest, this was my first British Pub. They had very good chips (fries) and the ketchup was plentiful. The highlight though was this beer they have on tap. It was fantastic it has a sweet aftertaste that you wouldn’t believe. It’s a hint of sweetness and it tastes awesome they have a blonde or dark version and they are both good. We stopped in on our way to the Knotting Hill Street market and it was rainy and dark and cold. We were too late for the market but on time for the pub. Don’t get me started on the Sun here in winter.

What an amazing pub. Not sure what the reviews are on about poor service. Our bartender today put 4 different samples for us because we couldn't decide what we wanted and he helped stage pictures with my Sons batman toy because I'm making a scrap book for him. The pints are clean and crisp. The pipes are obviously well looked after and it was tidy. What more could you want.

Food was meh (it's a pub though so not a big deal). Beer decent. Very cool building and inside spaces. The little doors are original to the pub from over 300 years ago, and we're used when the local police would come and have "meetings" in the pub.

We had a good experience here. Stopped in for drinks in the early afternoon. There was only one server here and it was the bartender. Luckily, it wasn't very busy at the time or she could have easily gotten overwhelmed. Had a Samuel Smith ale and a gin drink or two. Also had the fish bites appetizer, which I loved so much, I ordered another. Atmosphere was pretty cool with unique bar seating and low walk-throughs (not sure how else to describe them). Again, with just the one server, I could see how they could be overwhelmed quickly and service would suffer. But for us, service was very good and she was very friendly and attentive.

The iconic Earl Of Lonsdale is a great place to have a good pint, can't miss this in your visit to Notting Hill you will be at the same place as the greatest music artist of the 70's having a beer. So music lovers are obliged to come here, sit back and breathe in the atmosphere. With small rooms around the bar and nice place outside to drink when the weather in London isn't rain, the pub is a great place to stop and enjoy your visit. The place deserves five star, the town too, but the service isn't what I expected for an iconic pub at London. You can't be nice with the customers?, well then waiter isn't your job. Really, it isn't. And it's not the job for the rude bald waiter inside. We all know customer service is hard, it's even harder at a touristic place as Notting Hill, full of tourists hungry to see Madonna's house, or the Beckham's, but if you can't do it, trust me man, there are tons of jobs in England you can do. At the end you're the front of people to the world, as we the tourist will come back to our countries and tell our experience, and you're giving a bad name to all other places with working hard waiters to make our experience positive.

A Samuel Smith pub so very limited beer choices. We stopped by after walking around Portobello Road on a very hot day in August.

Great service last night from Zac who worked so hard (on his own at the start of the evening) keeping everyone served in a timely fashion on what was an extremely busy Wednesday night. The organic larger was excellent too.
