We had an overall fantastic experience at this hotel. The location is great for folks that want to have access to the common hot spots as it's right next to the London Eye and across the bridge from Big Ben. But even better is that there is a bus station in front of the hotel and down the street is a major metro station so getting to the and from most areas was simple.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I thoroughly appreciated how they constantly greeted us with a smile and good morning/afternoon/evening.
We had a room that had a beautiful view of the river, London Eye, and the adjacent garden. Normally I would've been a little weary of a room that faced such a busting area but between the dual double-paned windows and the blackout drapes, we didn't hear any noise or see any lights when everything was closed/down. The bed was comfortable and was perfect for helping us fight jet lag, I fell asleep almost instantly after a long day of traveling and exploring the city. Everything in the room was clean and well kept; the toiletries were high end and you have access to the higher quality amenities such as robes, slippers, and a scale.
The club lounge was nice and served breakfast, happy hour, and snacks at certain points throughout the day which was lovely.
Gym is on the smaller side but was able to get the job done. There's also a indoor lap pool which is great for families or getting a good swim in.
The only two gripes we had were:
1) It took an hour for the bellmen to bring up our suitcases from so we unfortunately missed a dinner reservation because we couldn't change clothes
2) The hotel is very large, and there's only one set of elevators on one side of the building, so if you have a room on the opposite side of the hotel (like we did) you'll have a decently long walk just to get to the elevators to exit the hotel. A set of stairs an alternate entrance to the hotel on the side opposite the elevators would be a great addition if that is at all possible down the line.
Otherwise, I would certainly come back to this property and I look forward to doing so during my next trip to London.
Excellent location. Loved staying here and we will certainly choose this hotel again for our next stay in London. Good breakfast. And a 25 m indoor swimming pool. The gym is small but had everything we needed.
Absolutely lovely hotel. Excellent location, rooms are a great size, well maintained and beautiful. The stand out was the excellent service throughout the hotel - really made my stay!
Great location, friendly and attentive staff and the rooms were clean and well stocked. We notified the staff we were in town for a birthday and they went above and beyond to make my son feel special.
Exactly what I was looking for during our brief vacation stay. The service was top notch starting with whisking our suitcases away while we sipped sparkling wine or water as we waited to officially check in. This is not your typical Marriott experience. You can stay in less expensive places, certainly, but for the price this is actually a great value. The rooms are beautiful, We requested a Thames River view, and we were treated to a view of Big Ben and Parliament as well. The London eye could be seen from the window as well and is an easy walking distance for a great photo taking experience. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious although not included in the price for our stay. Still the dining experience, including the beautifully delivered room service, was worth the cost. Room service was so lovely I preferred it to the restaurant after a long day of site seeing. Americans will appreciate both tea and delicious coffee available in the room. This hotel is a rest up haven!
Shout out to Mohammad for his help when checking in, Phillip for patiently answering all our questions including those about currency exchange, and all of the staff that helps to make entering and leaving with baggage absolutely seamless!
We loved our stay on 9/10/23. The hotel has the best location; next to the London Eye and Big Ben. Exceptional service from Evad when we checked in. We also appreciate the service from Diana when she greeted us in the lobby and Barry, the bellman. Send our hellos to them if you can. We would love to stay here again someday!
Just returned from our stay here and were completely blown away - everything was absolutely perfect!
The check-in experience is lovely, with a glass of prosecco and lovely staff, it sets the tone right away! Leena checked me in and was so kind, friendly and made us feel so special!
Our room was beautiful with an incredible view and a lovely welcome message for us celebrating our wedding. Within minutes of arriving in our room we were called to check it was ok and our bags were delivered - great service.
The hotel dealt with a serious food allergy absolutely perfectly, which we haven't seen before and it really helped us relax and enjoy our stay.
Turn down service was lovely, the room was really looked after and we got a stunning gift - thank you so much.
Breakfast was delicious and had so much choice.
For me the best thing about the hotel is the service, all staff members are kind, friendly, helpful and actually seem genuinely happy to be working there.
This is the best hotel experience i've had in a long time and we'll definitely be back - Thanks Leena for the unforgettable memories!
Why can’t all full service Marriotts be like this one. Yes, I paid for a great hotel and I got one! Beautiful rooms, excellent staff, great bellman and bar staff. Never did we walk past an employee in the hall without being greeted. Rooms are clean, newly remodeled and large. So tired of US Marriotts playing the price game. The service has disappeared. The road to COVID government mandated lockdowns is training. Marriott this could be your model.
This has been one of my best hotel stays ever … staff was perfect .. hotel room perfect.. facilities perfect ..location ideal for exploring London … pool was huge and clean .. they had activities for my son where he got a really nice gift for doing a scavenger hunt mystery on the ground floor .. the room was super quiet.. furnishing stylish and comfortable… Will definitely stay again
My room is beside the Westminster Suite and facing the Eye of London & Thames River.
I'm from Malaysia and not familiar with the English Breakfast menu and one of the stewardess briefs on the menu very well...
I'm just hoping their bellboy will be more respectful & welcoming guest with a full smile...
Absolutely one of the grandest hotel I stayed in London (I didn’t stay that many though). Very elegant and yet stylish. Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable!! Plus the front roll seats of the river is just unbeatable (if you get one which I didn’t…). Fully enjoyed my stay here and highly recommended to give it a try.
Thank you for the warm welcome, Yuri! We truly enjoyed our brief visit to the hotel! We were just exploring the hotel, when we walked past the Aquarium, and he was the first person to approach my family of 4 when we entered the hotel! He offered us complimentary waters, and local recommendations for dinner, Locale, an Italian restaurant less than 5min walk away! The hotel itself is beautifully grand and splendorous, in a warm and welcoming way! After experiencing such a friendly service, we will definitely be back on our next trip to London! :)
An amazing hotel! Every single member of the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. Perfect location. We will only stay here for future trips to London. The restaurant inside the hotel is also very nice and the food is delicious.
An amazing place to stay, relax, and enjoy the best area in London. Their restaurant is amazing and the food is tasty. Really recommended.
