What a meal! What an atmosphere, damn!
The birthday surprise was well worth it!
Got the tasting menu, really my vibe!! Amazingly great tasting dishes!
The young blond waitress Stephania I believe who was reasonably new, explain each dish and really knew what she was talking about!
Plus big thank you for the prosecco :D
We tried the antipasti platter, pasta and selection of desserts from the Puglia region. Everything was fresh and pastas were perfectly cooked. It was overall a lovely dinner.
I really like the way they serve the pastas in this little pans. Very friendly and helpful service. The food was ok. Well cooked but not something that I had never eaten before.
As part of my month long birthday celebration, my family and I decided to visit this lovely little restaurant after seeing it featured on Searching for Italy, by Stanley Tucci.
I am happy to say that it certainly deserves the hype. The Kings Road location was fabulous. Rustic, quaint and though a bit tight, it fostered a great atmosphere. Food was excellent. Not your typical pasta dishes. The pasta tastes uniquely fresh and homemade. Sauces were outstanding. The service was second to none. Very attentive staff.
Edwin was amazing.
As a note for pasta lovers: I repeat, not your typical pasta dishes. The dishes may challenge you a bit, but they are rich with distinct flavors and characteristics. If you are an experienced Italian food lover, this will be a great expansion of your palette. Enjoy!
Third trip to La Mia Mamma. The food is always delicious, the service is anyways amazing. Such a treat to dine out here with friends. Love it every time.
We ate at the Chelsea location, and it was the best food experience we’ve had in London. The set menus give you so much selection with each dish full of flavor. It was phenomenal. This is a must now every time we come back to London!
Very attentive service with great atmosphere. We had the set menu, started with the antipasti to share and had the Rigatoni pesto de pistacci e ricotta with guanciali pork cheek as the main course. The dessert was a taster of chocolate cake, panna cotta, and a soft chocolate biscotti - they were very very good.
Had an absolutely fantastic meal at La Mia Mamma. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible, and portions are really sizeable. Set menu with extras was great and the option to order outside the menu and add more food was really nice.
Highly recommended, I cannot wait to come back!
Hand down, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been ever! I love the authentic vibe of the restaurant. The staff are super friendly and nice and the mammas make the best food ever! I had the set menu with my friends and we enjoyed the selection of appetizers, pastas and deserts they brought us. Definitely worth a visit!
I cannot recommend this place enough. I have lived in London for several years now and as an Italian I often visit italian restaurants to find a bit of home. This is the only restaurant I have actually felt that, the value for money is incredible if you go for the set menu as the starter is a full dish in an of itself. Finally, Stefano the manager was an amazing host and made our evening delightful.
Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. Pics from the Puglia menu, the pesto with pistachio and guanciale and the mixed appetisers. Pricier but we were so stuffed and it was three courses, prosecco and an espresso at the end, so definitely worth it!
This is definitely my favourite Italian in London, I love the concept of the rotating menu as in the UK we mainly see the “Italian” chains that aren’t authentic. You won’t necessarily see dishes you recognise either as a Brit so it’s a really great way to try new things!
Other dishes we ordered were the cavatelli con ragu di polpette and the oricchiette with turnip tops and sausage, both were apparently delicious. Just a flag, the cavatelli con ragu di polpette comes with hard cheese on top but the menu doesn’t specify this so make sure to ask for it without if you have an allergy/preference for no cheese.
Tight sitting space but friendly service and delicious food! Absolutely a must have dinner experience. The waiter was gracious in explaining the prefix menu options and he was completely right about two pastas being enough! We were satisfyingly full that we wouldn’t have had room for an added entre.
Food was delish! Michela was a perfect host and made our night unforgettable. We went for my friend's bday dinner and had such a great time. Wine was also super nice
It was my first time there. Great atmosphere, food and service. They were really friendly and also accommodating to the fact we had a toddler with us. So they've prepared her food which came earlier than ours.
This place is like a little piece of Italian heaven in London. The staff were absolutely amazing, they showed us the typical Italian hospitality. We were lucky enough to be sat right where the action happens and watched Mamma Claudia and Mamma Maria do their magic right in front of us. Mamma Claudia’s cake with raspberry was to die for. It was fresh right from the oven. We were recommended an amazing wine and the pasta was absolutely delicious. If you want to experience an authentic Italian atmosphere, go to that place, you will not regret it.
We had our anniversary meal here Aug 21 (sorry for late post) and loved everything about it! The cozy feel, mama at the front preparing the antipasti, attentiveness of staff, and the tastful food. Thank you for lovely night, and would recommend!
It’s really hard to get a good bowl of pasta in London. This is in my top three. Really well seasoned, perfectly cooked pasta. I got the carbonara which I wouldn’t usually order out - I couldn’t fault it. Definitely a must try!
