Things are just getting hipper and hipper over here in Battersea. This weekend I had a drink in the sun at newly opened Zocala Bar on Battersea square. The Square is one of the few European style squares with outdoor cafes in London and Zocala is one of them. The bar recently changed owners, name and outfit and now looks hip and trendy enough to compete with Ramsay's new bar and restaurant across the street. Inside the decor looks bright and airy with white washed and exposed brick walls decorated with black and white photos. The mirrors on the side and behind the bar give the place an even more spacious feel to it. Inside punters can sit at high wooden tables along the walls or at the windows.
Great little cocktail bar very casual and they have happy hour! Wide range of cocktails and cool music great place for during the week or easy weekend. And seating outside.
Good drinks, lovely staff and great venue - although my favourite spot is in the outside, heated area on the beautiful battersea square. Wish it were a bit more lively, but then again I've only been on week nights.
Happy hour is a must & the square with seating and lamps is so fab. Staff are always really friendly too.
